Experience the profound promise woven into Genesis Chapter 9, where God's covenant with Noah is illuminated by the vibrant symbol of the rainbow. What does this covenant truly signify, especially when the rainbow is seen through the lens of contemporary interpretations? Discover the deeper, spiritual essence of the rainbow as a divine assurance that the earth will never again be swallowed by floodwaters. I, Catherine, your host of Learning to Live in Truth, invite you to reflect on the potential conflicts between adopting powerful symbols for modern causes while striving to remain true to biblical teachings.

Join me for a moment of faith-filled prayer and reflection, as blessings are extended to every listener tuning into this spiritual journey. Together, we'll navigate the challenges of life with a reminder to trust in God rather than relying solely on our own understanding. As we prepare to explore Chapter 10, let love and encouragement guide us all, with prayers especially for those seeking them. Whether or not you already feel God's presence, may this episode offer reassurance and hope in your spiritual journey.

(00:24):
Right here, on God's Diamondsand the Rupp, we are going book
by book and verse by verse, hallelujah.
We are on the countdown togoing to YouTube, amen, where
I'll be going live twice a week.
Yes, twice a week, monday andanother day.

(00:47):
I'll let you know tomorrow whatthe other day is, but I am so
glad to be before you one moretime.
Amen.
If y'all are ready, I am ready.
Let us get into a prayer beforethe word Amen.
Father, we thank you so muchfor your grace and your mercy.
Thank you, god, for allowing usto stay in this time, to be
able to get into your word.
I pray, in the name of Jesus, that you would use me to your

(01:09):
glory.
I pray that all that is saidand done is pleasing in your
sight.
Father, we bless every diamondthat is here, every ear, god.
I pray that we can all hearwhat it is that you are saying
to us as we go forth to getknowledge.
I pray, god, that you wouldgrant us understanding.
Father, we love you so much, so, very grateful, so thankful.

(01:29):
In jesus christ's name, we dopray, amen, amen, hallelujah.
So we have been in genesis, amen, um, and now we are in
chapter 9.
Amen.
So if you would like to learnfurther on what's going on in
the beginning, amen, go back toGenesis 1, which started at

(01:56):
episode number 1.
Yeah, season 5.
Let me see, make it short.
No, no, no, episode three,thirty-three, I'm sorry, episode
thirty-three.
We began Genesis one.
Yeah, genesis one.
So if you want to go back there, go ahead.

(02:17):
Stop right here.
You can continue this and goback and play catch up.
Yeah, because I don't believein starting in the middle.
We ought to start fresh, startat the beginning of your chapter
, when we are going after theword of God, amen.
So we left off on yesterday, atverse 12.

(02:38):
We were talking about thecovenant that God had made with
Noah and his family, and he hadlet us know that we ought to.
Well, he had given themprovision.
Yeah, that they could.
They had authority and dominionover the animals, whether they
was walking on the air, flyingin the air, whatever they had

(03:00):
dominion over it, amen.
And that they could, too, eatthe meat as long with the herbs
and all of the vegetables andthings of that sort, amen.
And another thing that hecommanded them to do was to be
fruitful and multiply andreplenish the earth.
Yes, amen.

(03:21):
He didn't say it one time inchapter 9, but he said it twice
in chapter 9 for them to do that.
And this is after, uh, theflood has happened, amen.
And the covenant is comingforth.
We're right there in the middleof it.
So, uh, verse 12, he said.
And god said this is the tokenof the covenant which I make

(03:44):
between me and you and everyliving creature that is with you
for perpetual generations.
He said I do set my rainbow inthe cloud.
Okay, I'm going somewhere, hesays, and it shall be for a
token of a covenant between meand the earth.

(04:06):
Now, close, right there.
Okay.
So God has established.
Okay.
First, he says.
He said I do set my bow, my bow, he says, in the cloud, my bow

(04:27):
is the rainbow.
Okay, attaching the rain, because that is what destroyed
the earth, right?
So he says I set my bow in thecloud.
Okay, it's a token for acovenant between me and the
earth.
Okay, he said this.
This is the token rainbow.

(04:49):
He said, and it shall come topass when I bring a cloud over
the earth, that the boat shallbe seen in the cloud and I will
remember my covenant, which isbetween me and you and every
living creature of all flesh, and the water shall no more
become a flood to destroy allflesh, and the bow should be in

(05:13):
the cloud and I will look uponit that I may see the
everlasting covenant between Godand every living creature of
all flesh that is upon the earth.
Okay, now pause for a second.
Now in our day I know I wasgoing to go there.

(05:35):
Right, they, satan, hasdistorted the value of the
rainbow.
Okay, he's decided that hewants to snatch the meaning in
the earth of the rainbow.
Now we can see clearly, biblebelieving God, fearing men and

(05:58):
women of God.
We can see what the rainbowrepresents, amen.
And see we have people havecompromised so much so that they
have taken what does not belongto them, okay, and made it
theirs.
Who am I talking about?
I'm talking about those of theLBGTQ community.

(06:23):
They've decided we're going touse all of the colors to
represent what we do.
Now, these same people, um,individuals that have decided to
take, uh, the colors torepresent their culture, the

(06:45):
colors to represent theirculture.
They, too, claim to beGod-fearing men and women of God
.
They believe that Jesus diedfor them.
Now it's like okay, which wayis it going to be?
Because you cannot have it bothways.
You understand what I'm saying.
You cannot have it both ways.
Just because you know, youdecided okay, I want purple to

(07:09):
represent me.
Oh, I want pink to represent me.
Oh, I want this to represent me, I want that to represent me.
So, instead of just taking acolor and decided well, this is
what I wanted to represent me,this is my favorite color,
whatever, I'm gonna take all thecolors, colors and put them
together and call it this is mypride.
Come on, man, you are takingtruth and distorting it, and the

(07:34):
thing about it is is that yougot babies that are growing up
now that are being told theyhave no clue that the rainbow is
attached to God.
Amen.
Do you understand what I'msaying?
That's the thing.
That's what happens when wecompromise.
We, instead, instead ofstanding on truth and sharing

(07:56):
truth, we have decided well, I'mgoing to twist this a little
bit to make it more me.
Okay, this is me.
This is me.
The devil is a liar.
Everything, all things, everything was made for him and
by him.
Hallelujah.
Everything was made for God,everything was made by God.

(08:19):
You were made for God and byGod.
You cannot.
People are just taking andsnatching up the rainbow and
saying this stands for this, when clearly I'm talking about
believing God, fearing men andwomen.
This is what he says.
It means this is a covenantbetween Noah, his family or

(08:46):
Bible-believing, god-fearing menand women.
This is a covenant that he putin the sky to remind himself of
what he would not do with allflesh at one time.
Come on, somebody.
We have to.
This is what we have to do andthis is the primary reason why

(09:09):
we are here at Learning to Livein Truth.
It's that we need to learn thetruth.
Amen, we got to learn itBecause the thing about it is,
if we don't learn it, then weadopt our own truth or adopt
what somebody else say, then wepass that thing on to the next
generation and then the nextgeneration comes, grows up being

(09:32):
deceived, god being mocked, andthen they don't know.
And it's genuinely, becausethey don't know, because they
haven't had anybody to speaktruth to them.
Look, here's the truth about it.
It doesn't matter.
It's that when we know better,we ought to do better.
Come on somebody.

(09:53):
When we know the truth, weought to walk in the truth.
Hallelujah, amen.
Compromising gets you nowhere.
Amen, look, you want to look.
This is my challenge toeveryone.
Get to a place where you wantto, absolutely, without question

(10:15):
or concern, know that when youleave this earth, you're going
to heaven.
Amen.
You don't fear death, you'renot worried about death Because
you know that when you leavethis earth, you're going to be
in the place of peace.
Come on somebody.
This is where you got to get to.
This is the challenge I laidbefore you.

(10:36):
Amen, this is where you got toget to.
This is the challenge I laidbefore you.
Amen.
You got to get to the placewhere you know whether, if
you're in this earth, it's okay,but if I die, it's okay too,
because I know where I'm going.
Hallelujah, amen.
So many.
Look.
Jesus said I'm sorry, my mind isramming on all over the place,

(10:58):
but Jesus said I take the stingout of death.
What do you mean when a beestings you?
What happened.
It hurts, right.
He said I take what the hurt, part of death, out of the
picture.
Amen, because your soul is notresting here in this earth, your
soul is not resting in how youfeel.
Amen.
Your soul is resting in eternalpeace.

(11:23):
Amen, that only comes fromthemselves.
Hallelujah, amen.
Things ain't gonna give youpeace, people ain't gonna give
you peace.
The things of this world ain'tgonna give you peace.
It's not Everlasting.
Peace comes from jesus graceand jesus christ alone.
Hallelujah, amen.

(11:44):
Let me finish up the passage ofscripture.
Amen, because we are almost atour time.
Look, I hope everybody got it.
I hope we didn't miss it.
Hallelujah, we're right here.
17 now he said god said untonoah this is the token of my
covenant which I haveestablished between me and all
flesh that is upon the earth.
He said me and all flesh.

(12:04):
It wasn't just for Noah and hisfamily, but he said this is
between me.
Me is God.
And he said everything andanything that is living, people
and animals.
Yeah, he says this is mypromise, this is my promise,

(12:25):
amen.
He says.
And the sons of Noah they wentfor of the ark were Sheem, ham
and Japheth.
And Ham is the father of Canaan.
These are the three sons ofNoah, and of them was the whole
earth overspread, amen.
Overspread that's aninteresting word, right, but

(12:47):
basically that just means that, through their lineage, this is
how they replenished the earth.
It began again with them afterit was destroyed from what adam
and eve had produced.
Okay, in regard to people.
So now these three men andtheir um babies, and generation

(13:11):
after generation, they refilledthe earth, amen, verse.
Verse 20, he says and all beganto be an husbandman.
And he planted a vineyard.
Where did he get the seed?
I mean, god had provision,hallelujah.
God made provision.
Everything is made for him andby him, hallelujah.

(13:32):
How did this happen?
How did it happen?
You get to that place sometimes.
How did this happen?
How did it happen?
Then people are on watching you, they're watching how that
happened, how that happened, andyou really can't give an answer
outside of god's provision.
Come on somebody.
So, when you don't know how ithappened or where it came from,
just say god's provision,hallelujah.
Come on somebody.
Hallelujah, god's provision.

(13:54):
He said.
He planted a vineyard verse 21and he drank of the wine.
That was drunken, he said.
And he was uncovered within histent.
So, noah, he was first partakerof what he had planted and
harvested.
He drank the wine of the groupof the grapes okay, the grapes.

(14:17):
Okay, the grapes had sat solong that they had fermented it,
in which, in our terms, it hadturned to alcohol.
Okay, and it probably was realpotent, right?
Because he got so drunk that hewas completely naked in his
tent.

(14:37):
He says 22 and ham, the fatherof canaan, saw the nakedness of
his father.
Ham is his son, he said, andtold his two brethren without.
And so he told his brother thatdaddy and that naked dog.
And she and Japheth took agarment and laid it upon both

(15:02):
his shoulders and went backwardand covered the nakedness of
their father.
And their faces were backwardand they saw not their father's
nakedness.
So they covered him up withoutlooking, and then, when they
left out of the tent, theywalked back so they would not
see him naked.

(15:22):
Verse 24, noah walked from hiswine and knew what his younger
son had done unto him.
Now pause it for a second.
When they said that Canaan, when they said to Ham and Ham,
the father of Canaan, saw thenakedness of his father, okay,

(15:45):
you know what that really means, don't you?
He saw the nakedness.
Okay, now I want to make surethat I got it right.
I'm pretty sure I'm right.
The parent's sin often becomes achild's stumbling block.
In this case, ham dishonoredhis father's sin in two ways.
First, he dishonored his fatherby staring at his nakedness.

(16:07):
Second, he increased both hissin and his father's shame by
reporting his father'sconditions to others.
Later, the law stipulatedcurses for dishonoring a parent.
So it's not what we think.
Okay.
First, we think obviously, thefirst thought is oh, he slept

(16:29):
with his father.
No, it was just the fact thathe saw his father in that way
and it dishonored him.
And once his father found outeverything that was happening or
had happened this is whathappening said curse be canaan,
which is his grandson.
A servant of servants shall behe unto his brethren.

(16:51):
And he said blessed, blessed bethe Lord, god of Sheen, and
Canaan shall be his servant.
God shall enlarge Japheth andhe shall dwell in the tents of
Sheen, and Canaan shall be hisservant.
He says and Noah lived afterthe flood three hundred and

(17:13):
fifty years, and all the days ofNoah was 950 years and he died.
So I'm going to stop rightthere.
Amen, tomorrow, we'll pick up at10.
Amen, we'll pick up at 10.
Oh, as y'all see me destroythese names, hallelujah, or hear
me rather, but we're going todo it as best as we can, amen.

(17:34):
So thank you for your presence.
So we're done.
Let's pray.
Father, we thank you so muchfor your grace and your mercy.
Thank you, god for allowing usto make it through this passage
of scripture.
Thank you God for sharing withus how important the rainbow is.
Thank you, god for everydiamond.
I pray that everybody got whatthey were supposed to get.

(17:57):
We pray God.
The blessings of the Lord beupon each and every one.
There's a heart, a mind and anear to hear and understand.
I pray for everyone that saidpray for me.
I pray for my brothers andsisters in Christ all over the
world who just exist, amen, whoare living and breathing,
because we all go through things, we all come out of things, we

(18:18):
all go into things, and I justpray, god, that they would know
you are there, you are in themidst of what is happening in
their lives, but that we willtotally continue to trust and
lean and depend on you and notour own understanding.
I pray for the ones who don'tknow you on today that they come
to know you In the mighty andthe precious name of jesus
christ, I do pray.

(18:38):
Amen, amen and amen.
All right, y'all, we got twomore to go.
We got two damn two more to go.
I hope y'all come on back withme on tomorrow as we journey
through chapter 10 of genesis.
Amen, so much love, so manyblessings from me to you.
