What happens when life throws unexpected challenges your way? Join me on a heartfelt journey as I recount personal stories of illness, relocation, and solitude, all while leaning on faith and scripture for strength. Joshua 1:9, 2 Corinthians 5:7, and Isaiah 43:19 were my anchors through the storm, guiding me to see the everyday miracles and reminding me of God's unwavering plan. This episode promises to uplift those navigating similar shifts, offering the reassurance that even in uncertainty, God's purpose is at work, crafting new beginnings from life's chaos.

Let's explore how reaching out to others, like my prayer warrior cousin, can provide the support and encouragement needed to traverse life's unexpected changes. As we reflect on the importance of community and prayer, I aim to reassure anyone feeling isolated that they are truly never alone. Embrace the twists and turns with me, trusting in God's grace and guidance, knowing that even the most daunting paths are part of a divine plan. Join us for a session filled with hope, faith, and the comforting peace that comes from trusting God's loving hands.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, I'm going to be doing something today that
I've never done before.
I'm doing a bonus podcast, andthis is because God's really
laid something onto my heart andhopefully I can get through
this with a few tears.
You all know that things arechanging.
I've had the flu and I've had alittle bit of pneumonia and I'm

(00:22):
trying to get through all ofthat.
And in all of that, you know, right now we're trying to sell
my house and move away andthings are strange and I kind of
feel alone, but I know God'swith me.
How do we go through the changesthat God puts before us?

(00:44):
Through the changes that Godputs before us?
Sometimes it's a very lonely, frightening thing when you allow
yourself to listen to thelittle voices in your head.
So I decided to really lookinto what we need to do when

(01:08):
we're going through thesechanges and the scriptures that
we need to hold fast to.
Joshua 1.9 says have I notcommanded you be strong and
courageous, do not be frightenedand do not be dismayed, for the
Lord, your God, is with youwherever you go?

(01:30):
This verse reminds us thatevery step we take, God is with
us.
We're never alone, but Satanloves to tell us we are when

(01:50):
there's not others around, whenyou have a night that you can't
sleep and there's no one to talkto, Satan loves to get in there
and say horrible things to you.
But 2 Corinthians 5, 7 says forwe walk by faith, not by sight.

(02:15):
We don't always see what he'sdoing.
We have to trust him becauseour perspective of everything is
so limited.
Stepping out in faith meansbelieving in God and His
guidance when we can't even seethe path.

(02:39):
That's what stepping out infaith is not seeing the path.
Hebrews 11.1 says Now, faith isthe substance of things hoped
for and the evidence of thingsnot seen.
That is the essence of faithtrusting in what we can't see

(03:07):
because we know that we'retrusting in God's promises.
That's been really hard for melately.
But how do we cope with this?
How do we cope with thesechanges that we're going through
?
How do we cope with these newthings that God has planned for
us?
You know what he doesn't alwaystell us and sometimes he hits

(03:33):
you with it at your lowest point.
Like I said, if you can hear myvoice, I'm still really trying
to get over everything that'sbeen going on.
But coping with change is easywhen we trust in the Lord.
Proverbs 3, 5 through 6 saysTrust in the Lord with all of

(03:56):
your heart and do not lean onyour own understanding.
In all of your ways, acknowledge Him and he will make
your path straight, no matterwhat the changes are.
When we follow Him, it may looklike the curviest road.
It may look like the longestbattle uphill, it may look like

(04:18):
something that we could neverreach the top of, but when
you're following God, the path'sstraight.
Isn't that wonderful?
This is the verse that God gaveme, that I've so far haven't
had success in reading itwithout crying, but I know that

(04:38):
this is the one that he meantfor me.
It fills my heart to know thiswas for me, that I am his.
Isaiah 43, 19 says Behold, I amdoing a new thing.

(05:01):
Now it springs forth.
Do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in thewilderness and rivers, in the
desert.
Everything God takes us to is anew beginning.
He's opening opportunities.
He's opening opportunities andI know that there's people where

(05:25):
I'm going that need to hearwhat I have to say about God.
I know that he's going to useme and I'm going to let Him.
I am going to let Him use me inwhatever it is that he needs

(05:49):
for me to do.
This verse tells us that changewill lead to a new beginning.
God is always at work, creatingopportunity and guiding us
through these transitions.
There's Philippians 4, 6-7.
Do not be anxious aboutanything, but in every situation
, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present your

(06:13):
request to God, and the peace ofGod, which passes all
understanding, will guide yourheart and your mind to Christ
Jesus.
Prayer.
It's funny.
I laid in bed the other nightpraying and asked for God for

(06:33):
some things and to help methrough some things and to show
me that everything's going theway he wanted it to go and that
I was still walking in his path.
And the next day so many thingshappened.
Things started to fall intoplace, People were getting

(06:54):
answers that they needed.
It amazed me, and a few monthsbefore that I had prayed another
prayer and I had thought aboutit a little, but not a lot, and
I started looking around andthat prayer was being answered.

(07:15):
I heard somebody say therearen't miracles anymore.
Well, I don't know about you,but there's miracles in my life
every single day.
Romans 8.28 says and we knowthat in all things God works for
the good of those who love theLord and are called according to

(07:37):
His purpose.
According to His purpose, evenwhen the changes feel
challenging, even when we areeven stumbling through the
changes sometimes because we aremisstepping and not because God
is leading us wrong it allworks out.
It works out for those who loveGod and are called according to

(08:02):
His purpose.
We need to embrace the changesthat God is sending our way.
I needed to do this podcast toreinforce this in myself self,

(08:28):
To know that, whether it's theflu, whether it's a move,
whether it's finances, when wedepend on God, when we let God
guide us through each one ofthese things, he has a reason,
there's always a purpose and itis always for the good of us.
So I go back to the scripturethat he gave me, Isaiah 43, 19.

(08:52):
Behold, I am doing a new thing.
Now it springs forth.
Do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in thewilderness and rivers, in the
desert.
He'll make a way.
He'll make a way, and throughit all, if I die tomorrow.

(09:26):
He made the way, it was Hischoice, it was His will.
If tomorrow, I end up inanother city around new people,
that was God's way and I'm justgoing to follow?
Are you struggling?

(09:46):
Are you struggling with changesthat God's going through with
you?
Hooray, Reach out to otherChristians.
The best thing I've donethrough all of this is called my
wonderful, strong prayerwarrior cousin and I asked her
to pray for me and the wordsthat came out of her mouth were

(10:12):
words of God.
She didn't know what all mybattles or concerns or cares
were.
She just allowed the HolySpirit to speak and it spoke
life to me.
I hope someone out there that'sstruggling and listening to

(10:33):
this.
I'm hoping that you'll knowyou're not alone.
We're all here.
We're all walking in God'sgrace.
Trust Him and let Him lead yourway.
