(4:25) Before the guys got into the meat of everything that happened during Day 1 of the NFL’s Free Agency Legal Tampering Period, Jessie Coffield brought up her current fast, as she’s getting bloodwork done following the show. This fascinated Mike Golic Sr, and the gang discussed how good fasting is for the human body.
(8:50) The NFL Free Agency Legal Tampering Window opened up at noon on Monday, and the deals kept coming all day. The biggest name going off the board was former Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold, who signed a 3-year, $100M deal to become the next QB of the Seattle Seahawks. The guys discussed what kind of a move this is for Seattle, and what direction they’ll be heading in after losing 2 WRs and their starting QB Geno Smith.
(22:30) The other QB News making headlines on Monday was not via free agency, but the trade market as the Pittsburgh Steelers traded QB Justin Fields to the New York Jets, who were looking for their Aaron Rodgers replacement. Fields had a solid year in Pittsburgh, but split duties under center with Russell Wilson. The guys talked about what this could do for Fields’ career and if he can have a resurgence with NY, as well as how the Steelers will be looking to approach the QB position this season - perhaps with the Jets former starter?
(37:42) A plethora of stars were on the move on Monday, and the guys took the time to discuss some of the biggest non-QB moves from the day. They also discussed some of their favorite moves of the day, and their biggest winners and losers of the free agency window opening.
(52:45) Jessie Coffield gives a brief update on the New York Yankees offseason, including star pitcher Gerrit Cole being sidelined for the entire 2025 season as he’ll undergo Tommy John surgery
