ready to go.
Um, the elves are outdelivering gifts.
Some tours are out doingraffles for their tours I know
mine's already started and wehave some big prizes and uh,

(03:18):
yeah, I mean check with yourlocal tour if they have some
stuff going on for the holidays.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, please do, and just give a little tease for the

Stick around to the end and Ithink we have a treat for

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yeah, we'll have something, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
So, if you haven't done your Christmas shopping,
golfweekamateurgolftournet, givethe gift to golf, whether it's

There's tours out there thatare giving away raffle prizes.
Hey, chris, this is going toblow you away.
Nine days till Christmas, 18days away until the icebreaker

(04:03):
tees off.
Once that happens, we're rightback at it.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yeah, we're right in the thick of it, Can't wait.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
So we've got a really good episode.
Like I said, we're laughingbefore we even get started.
Got some good stuff for you.
We're going to talk to uh twotour directors this this week,
um, and actually wrap up the uhdirector's cup winners, um, now
there's a couple that that wehaven't gotten on, and one is

(04:38):
patina martinez.
She won the senior senior dflight.
It's not that we don't want tohave her on.
She has elected to not come on.
She's just not comfortablebeing on this.
It's not that we don't want tohave her on.
She has elected to not come on.
She's just not comfortablebeing on this and that's
perfectly fine.
But we do want to make sure werecognize her, because we think
it's a big deal.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, for sure.
I mean for being the inauguralyear, we definitely want to
recognize them and you know wehave bragging rights for the
rest of this competition becausewe were the first ones.
So take that everybody yeah, sothere exactly.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
And and the only other person that, uh, we'll
probably get on later on in thein the season is Derek Barnes
from the Denver tour.
This is kind of a busy seasonfor him and his business, so
hopefully we'll get him on lateron in the season.
Let's go ahead and welcome inour first guest.
I'm still trying to figure thisout.

(05:39):
Let's welcome in Trey Coker, the Senior Tour Director from
Louisiana.
Trey, you with us, bud.

Speaker 7 (05:52):
Yes, sir, I'm here.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Welcome to the show.

Speaker 7 (05:56):
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
You know, for those that are watching, this is
Trey's picture.
He looks better than both Chrisand I combined.

Speaker 7 (06:09):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Me too, trey.
First and foremost, I'm gladyou could make it.
I hope you're feeling better, but you went on a hunting trip
recently.
Did you get anything good?

Speaker 7 (06:20):
Yeah, I killed a nice 10-point up in Missouri where I
hunt.
I have some land there, beengoing there for about 15 years
and killed a nice 10-point up inMissouri where I hunt.
I have some land there, beengoing there for about 15 years
and killed a very nice buck.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
That's awesome, so deer beat for the winner.

Speaker 7 (06:34):
That's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
So you won the Senior Champ Flight Director's Cup and
we want to wish youcongratulations for that.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
Well, thank you.
I appreciate you informing meof that.

Speaker 8 (06:53):
I didn't know what that means, but it's pretty cool
.

Speaker 7 (06:57):
We've had a very good this year, had a very good
championship flight.
We've had a lot of championshipplayers that played for the
whole year and I think I onlyhad six or so that went to the
went to the tournament.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
So it was very nice, good support from our tour well
you, you beat marty martinezfrom from the uh eastern north
carolina tour by one stroke.
Uh, you shot 75, 74, what?
What courses were you guys on?

Speaker 7 (07:23):
Ooh man, that's a hard question.
Don't ask me a question likethat.
Let me think we were at HiltonHead National and then the
Palmetto Dunes, the Fazio course.
Both of the courses were very, very nice.
Which one?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
was your favorite of the two.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
I liked the Fazio because I hadn't played it
before so it was kind ofinteresting to play at some neat
holes so I enjoyed uh, you knowthat one a little more.
Seemed a little bit tougher too.
I think they both played itabout the same distance, but the
uh, the uh, the fazio coursewas a par 70.
So to me it played a little bitharder.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, that's the first time we've been on that
course and I think you know ifit could be the first time ever
we've been on that course, butdefinitely the first time in a
long time.
Yeah, neat layout, that's a,that's a really good old stuff.

(08:24):
It's fun.
So you know.
Then.
You know, chris, we talkedabout this, you know a few times
.
You know, dennis, you knowchris, we talked about this, you
know a few times.
You know I said I didn't knowwho came up with the whole idea
for the director's company.
This was actually dennis's idea, huh, so so what do you think?
What?
Dennis doesn't ever have any, ever have any good ideas.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
No, no it was a, it was a grand idea.
I mean, we, we had a good time.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
You looked like you were shocked.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
No, I'm just glad I won.
Now I have more bragging rights.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Okay, but again, this is Dennis' idea and he texted
me the other day that he's gotsome other ideas to boost this
for this coming year and I'm notgoing to share them.
I'll let him come out with them, but again to me think the the
director's cup, you know, forthe tour directors and trying to

(09:12):
have bragging rights.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
What was was brilliant yeah, agreed, I mean,
trey I.
I know you barely found out onthe episode that you won, but,
um, we have bragging rights.
We're the first ones that everwin it between all the directors
in the inaugural year, sonobody can take that from us so
you just say each flight gets it, so, director of each flight.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
There could be five different winners so there were
five winners for senior and fivewinners for the golf week side
as well and I'm sure Dennisprobably sent an email and I
probably missed it.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
But yeah, some some things happen like that.
You know, some days.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
You know he listens to this, right.
Sorry, dennis, I'll pay moreattention, that's all right.
Just yeah, you, you've beenhunting and haven't been feeling
well, so you get some slackfrom us.
Anyway, I won't tell if youwon't.
I like that, but you've been onthe tour for a long, long time.

(10:21):
You know, kind of tell us aboutyou know your experience and
why you've been on tour, I thinkgoing all the way back to 2010,
2011.

Speaker 7 (10:35):
Yeah, I'm not exactly sure the time, but, yeah, I
played on the regular tour for afew years, and then, when I
became 50, I went over to thesenior tour, and I actually
played a little bit of both, butmy game's getting I'm hitting
the ball so short now.
It's nice to get on the seniortour and have a little more fun.
So, and then, last two yearsago, I think, mark Toloso kind

(10:56):
of asked me if I'd be interestedin running this tour, and and I
and I've you know I've enjoyedit a lot as far as running.
I've only it a lot as far asrunning.
I've only played golf in golftournaments.
I really didn't run many, soit's been kind of a learning
experience and kind of payattention to what other tour
directors have done and tried toimplement some of that as well,
some of their ideas, but I got180-some members last year.

(11:21):
My biggest issue that I'm having, though, is it's good size tour
, but I'm only getting about,I'm averaging about 60 players,
and I was.
I'm trying to figure out waysto kind of increase the you know
, the participation in that.
So that's been kind of kind ofmy thing.
But as far as from theplayability, you know, starting
that many years ago, I've alwaysplayed competitive golf, so you

(11:41):
know just kind of.
Just kind of took care of mycompetitive bug by playing in
these tournaments.
I like playing my own ball, youknow, so it's.
I've always enjoyed that partof it and you know, being moving
into the senior part of it,like I said just just, the
courses and the length of thecourse you know still made I'm
still able to be competitive, soit's been been fun for that.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
So well, you, you, you learned from from one of the
best in in Mark.
Uh, I love that guy, he's, he's.
He was a good tour director butbut more importantly he's, he's
fun to be around.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
He is, he's fun and he's actually going to help me
next year Help me with some ofthe course setups and stuff like
that, so nice.
Yeah, I appreciate him a lot.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
That's awesome.
So let's talk about your yearcoming up.
You've got your schedule postedand you've already got you know
from a membership perspective.
You've already got a fairnumber of people signed up.

Speaker 7 (12:36):
I do.
Yeah, we've got 15 tournamentsscheduled, 11 individual days
and I have four majorsindividual days and I have uh
four majors and I've done acouple, uh, saturday Sundays.
That are two different courses, two different tournaments, you
know.
So two one days I have about 20people or so, 20-25 people
that'll play on Saturday and noton a Sunday and vice versa.

(12:59):
So it kind of it's.
It's, you know, it seems toseems to work.
And then I have a couple SundayMondays.
So the Monday tournaments areat country clubs.
That won't.
Let us have them on theweekdays, weekends, excuse me.
And I kind of did a poll lastyear at the end of the year of
all my players.
I went on one of those surveymonkeys and pulled and did a

(13:20):
five-question survey, kind ofasked everybody what they liked,
what they didn't like, and thenyou know where they like to
play, what part of the state andall that, and kind of made my
schedule based off of what themajority of them wanted.
So a lot of them like the twodays.
You know the two-day events, and they like the two-day, you
know one-day events.
They're back-to-back, so theycan devote the weekend to that.

(13:43):
They're back-to-back, so theycan devote the weekend to that,
but don't play in twotournaments.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
So that's kind of what I'm trying next year.
So this is the first yearyou've done the two one-days
back-to-back.

Speaker 7 (13:54):
No, I did probably three of them last year, okay,
but I wasn't sure.
I mean, I had a pretty goodturnout 70 or so players in each
of them, which wasn't bad, butI wanted to make sure that I was
trying to figure out whatpeople wanted.
Most people were very happywith that type of commitment to
go two days instead of just oneday.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
One of the things that's different with you on the
senior side, as opposed to thegolf week side, is you travel
all over the state.

Speaker 7 (14:26):
Yes, we do.
That's what most of them weresaying.
That is, if you know, if I gotto travel three hours, I don't
want to travel three hours forone day.
It's nice to spend a coupledays and then come back home.
So, yeah, we can use the wholestate.
Now we kind of stay middle ofthe state, south.
Uh, just because you know, inlouisiana our whole population
population is below I-10.
So the majority of ourpopulation Baton Rouge,

(14:49):
lafayette, new Orleans that'swhere a lot of our population is
.
A lot of golfers come from thatarea.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Yeah, I mean, that's like us when we travel.
If it's more than hour, hourand a half latest, it'll be a
two-day event, just because theguy said the same thing.
You know, I don't want totravel three hours there, three
hours back, for a one-day eventand waste a one-night hotel or
something I was.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
I was surprised.
I mean I sent the survey outthinking I may get a few
responses, and I probably.
I got 70, 80 responses, whichwas nice to you know, kind of a
pretty good sample of what theywanted you know.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
So yeah that, that that is pretty good, especially
with the size tour that you have.
And then you can kind of makeit, make that informed decision.
You know, and I'm I'm lookingat your, at your schedule now,
which is is are the privatecourses?

Speaker 7 (15:41):
It's going to be university club, which is the
LSU golf course in Baton Rouge.
And then we have Lake CharlesCountry Club.
That's kind of first part ofthe year on that Monday.
So we go to the Golden Nugget, which is a casino course.
It's called the Country Club atGolden Nuggets, the name of the
course, but it's the GoldenNugget Casino in Lake Charles.

(16:04):
That's on a Sunday.
Then on that fall, the Monday,we go at Lake Charles Country
Club.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Okay, Chris, maybe we need to go over to the casino
you don't have to tell me, I'malways down for that.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
That's a given.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Y'all come to Louisiana.
You mean Come on, come on.
Well, trey, you know my brotherlives up.
I mean you know my brother and.
I do?
I've met him you know so, andobviously they don't live too
far from Lake Charles.
They're in DeRidder not manypeople know where DeRidder is,
just so.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
I'm not so sure.

Speaker 7 (16:41):
I want to know, but I do it's about 25 minutes south
of my house, so it ain't far.
I'm not so sure.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
I want to know, but I do it's about 25 minutes south
of my house, so it ain't far.
So, chris, you know we went tothe regional in Tamaka Trails.
It's probably about an hour.
What do you say, trey, about anhour and a half south?

Speaker 7 (17:00):
Yeah, you got to go east and then southeast.
I'm about 45 minutes toAlexandria and then another 25
minutes or so to Marksville.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Good golf course too.
Very good golf course, yeah.
So we really love being there, and Gina did a great job with
that regional.
I see you're going to beplaying there.
You've got a one day and thenyou're.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
The finals.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Finals is there?
Yeah, in there, you've got aone day and then you're the
finals.
Finals is there?

Speaker 7 (17:30):
yeah, you can't beat that facility especially.
They take good, good care ofyou too.
Yeah, it's nice, it's nice tohave a court, and they really
want you to come play too.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
It's very nice, they treat us very nicely so, of all
the courses that you've played, being on tour as long as you
have what would you say locallyis the best one, and then, from
the national perspective, is thebest course that you've played.

Speaker 7 (17:53):
So locally for us, I mean, university Club is
phenomenal, so it's in Tamaka'slast three or four years has
been in phenomenal shape, butthose are probably the two best.
And the Golden Nugget's very, very nice too.
So it's basically a casinocourse but they don't have very

(18:16):
much play.
They've got just a very fewmembers there so it's very few
play.
So the course is good.
But nationally, I've been to afew of the regionals and I
enjoyed Streamsong when they fewmembers there, so it's very,
very few play.
So the course is good.
But nationally I've been to afew of the regionals and I
haven't.
I enjoyed stream song when theyhad one there.
Uh, I love going to the Hiltonarea, hilton head area, most of
those courses.
I've just had a great timethere.

(18:37):
And then I've gone to thecouple of the regionals that uh,
well, the one at uh oceancourse in Kiowa has been
phenomenal, and Well, the one atOcean Course in Kiowa has been
phenomenal, and then the ones Ilike, the ones in Pinehurst, so
those have all been fun too.
So I've enjoyed those as well.
And I've got a few players thatare coming for our icebreaker,
the senior icebreaker.
We've got I don't know three orfour that are coming with me

(18:59):
right now so far I'm trying torecruit a few more.
So we always enjoy those twocourses are very nice too,
especially far I'm trying torecruit a few more.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
So we always enjoy those two courses are very nice
too, especially that time ofyear, yeah, and I'm hoping we
get better weather for thesenior icebreaker this year than
we did last year, though it wasrough.
Chris, you wouldn't have madeit because Trey, just so you
know cold for Chris is 60.

Speaker 7 (19:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
And you know it was.

Speaker 7 (19:30):
not only was it cold, it was cold over there, a
little bit of mist andeverything else, but the year
before that was worse.
You remember that?
Yeah, I do.
It was cloudy the year before Ido, I do.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
But hopefully this is our year for nice weather.
That's what we're tellingeverybody.
It's going to be good weather.
We're due.

Speaker 7 (19:54):
We're due for some good weather.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Absolutely.
You planning on doing any otherregionals this year?

Speaker 7 (20:01):
Not off the top of my head yet I may the Pinehurst
thing, may may work out again.
And then there was we went tothe one last year.
We went to TPC and Sawgrass andwe had a good time there too.
So, but that one's gone thisyear, so I hadn't really I
hadn't made my schedule that farin advance.
Besides, you know ourtournaments Right.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Right.

Speaker 7 (20:22):
I got it.
I got a son graduating fromschool in May and we're taking
him somewhere in July.
So it kind of puts a littledamper on some of that.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
I understand damn kids got to get him out of the
house and then you can do whatyou want to do again and kick
them off the payroll.
I don't think they ever comeoff the payroll Trey it's got to
be less.
Well, there are times, thereare times.
But yeah, I mean you're at agood time with it if he's about

(20:55):
ready to graduate and move offto college, so that's good.
If you could tell.
I mean, if this is your salespitch to people to join the tour
, what would you tell them?

Speaker 7 (21:08):
I would tell them it's.
It's very, very organizedevents that allow you to compete
and you know kind of if you'reespecially if you're a
competitive person.
It also helps you to meet newpeople and you know play golf as
golf meant to be played.
You know, in a tournament, youknow kind of keep the score.
And what I also tell them isabout the points race and how

(21:30):
important that is and what itdoes is it takes the emphasis
off of each shot and puts awhole.
You know it's a culmination ofa year, not just that one event.
So you know if you're playingbad and you can finish ninth
instead of 10, if you're playingbad and you can finish ninth
instead of 10, it's going tohelp you.
So it kind of helps people kindof put a different perspective
on it, where they're just tryingto get as many points as they
can.
And I don't know, I think mostdirectors probably do this, but

(21:54):
I try to pay for each of my topguys to go to the Nationals, pay
for their stuff.
So I kind of put an emphasis onthat each tournament how
important the points are.
So it's.
I kind of put an emphasis onthat each tournament, how
important the points are so uh,yeah, but just, and I and I try
to, I try to match people upfirst half of the year where I
put you with different peoplejust to meet people, and then
towards the end of the year, ofcourse, I get more towards the

(22:16):
point race grouping to wherethey, you know they can watch
the competition.
So yeah, but as far as you know, just to answer your questions,
just the competition, theorganization and just, you know
just meeting people yeah well, Ithink, trey, I I think you
nailed it.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
You know that's what we talk about all the time.
Chris is is, you know, thecompetition and the camaraderie
that we have.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
It's and it's not just about playing, playing the
golf, it's about the, thefriendships that we make and
hanging out after yeah, it's,it's all that fun stuff you know
going to regionals and meetingpeople you've seen before and
saying hi, or nationalchampionship and seeing them
every year.
It's, it's.
It all comes down to that.

(23:01):
But I mean, it's, it's just agood time and it is competitive
golf.
But I think after the 18 holesare played then we can all go
back and be friends and not haveto worry about being real mean
to each other chris, be careful.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Remember, we've got that teaser at the end of the
episode.
Well, trey, you're going tohave to.
You know what, when thisepisode comes out, you're
actually going to have to watchit, because we had somebody send
us a.
Don't give it away.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Well, I'm not going to tell them what it is, but
you've got to watch it becausewe had somebody send us a.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
don't give it away.
Don't give it away.
Well, I'm not going to tellthem what it is, but you got to
watch till the end and we'lldisplay that for everybody.
I think it's a.
I think people will enjoy it.
Okay, but, drake, thank you somuch for just spending a couple,
a couple minutes with us.
I really do appreciate it, andcongratulations on the win that
you didn't know, that you had.

Speaker 7 (23:59):
I appreciate it, tim.
Thank you, chris, I enjoyed it.
We'll have to do it again.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Yeah, we will Take care and we'll talk to you soon.

Speaker 7 (24:09):
Yes, sir, we'll see you, bye-bye.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
Let's take a break from the show to hear about
strixon's zx mark ii irons.
A great iron set needs morethan good looks.
It's got to be fast and gottabe pure, but good looks never
hurt either.
The all-new zx mark ii ironsfrom strixon man tim.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Um, you never know what we're gonna get when it
comes to uh, our interviews.
Uh, trey was a great interview.
I'm glad we were able to um lethim know that he won something
yeah, it was kind of fun um, butuh, yeah, I mean, you never
know what we're gonna get.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
That's why we do this because everything every day is
different exactly, and, and youand you know, on top of that, I
am glad that we, that we gothim.
Uh, you know, cause we don't wehaven't spent a whole lot of
time on the senior tour and, youknow, with especially having
these winners on recently, wehave been able to talk about,
talk about them a little bitmore and, uh, would like to get

(25:11):
them one more over the course ofthe season, right.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
And I think we're going to have a good time.
But you know, I think our goalthis coming season is to get as
many directors as we can on,Because we have a lot and I
don't think everybody knows whothey are unless they travel to
different tours.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Exactly, and especially in Trey's case.
They're playing a lot of goodcourses.
Tamaka Trails keeps coming upand again he's playing on the
senior side.
They're doing the regionalthere.
I would suggest everybody justget down there and play around

(25:56):
on that course.
You're not going to be sorry, let's just put it that way.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
No, you'll have a good time.
It'll be great.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Well, let's move on Again.
We generally don't have a lotof new tour directors, but we're
going to start talking to thenew ones coming on you know this
this year.
So so everybody has a chance tomeet them.
And, uh, the, the next groupthat we're going to bring in, uh
, from orlando.

(26:25):
They've got some pretty bigshoes to fill, um, you know,
with tom myrus and and robbierobinson, yeah, definitely.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
They have big shoes to fill.
You say little, but those arebig shoes.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Yeah, you know, everything that just you know
just about what Tom has done forgolf in Florida.
You know all the work that hedoes with.
You know the Blind GolfersAssociation, how long he's been
a tour director.
You know he really really kindof built and grew that Orlando
tour and Robbie built the Tampatour and then really kind of

(27:08):
stepped in to help Tom when heneeded it and we're really going
to miss those guys, definitely.
So let's go ahead and um andbring in the new tour directors
from orlando, armand simirelliand daniel holiday.

(27:28):
Guys, welcome to the showthanks for having us.
I mean you.
Everybody on the tour shouldknow who you are.
You've been around, you know.
They may not know your face, although you have been on the
podcast before, but you've beeninvolved with the tour for what?
Eight, nine years now.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Well, ever since we partnered so I work, work at
golf week, as you know, and wepartnered with dennis I.
I think it's more like 10 and12 years now maybe it's been a
long time yeah.
So whenever dennis changed overto golf week, that's when I met
dennis and jennifer and uh, it'skind of a fun story.

(28:15):
But you know, we get to becomegood buddies.
Once, right at the right, atthe last second, the president
of a golf week got let go and Ihad to call Dennis and say, hey,
listen, you know, there's thisguy just got to let go and I

(28:37):
don't know what we're going todo.
You know, he was aboutliterally a day from signing his
contract.
So he was going to sign withGolf Week to put the Golf Week
name on your tour, his tour, andI felt so bad.
I was like you know what, I'lljust sign the thing, you know.
And so I signed it and nobodysaid a word and it was for a

(29:00):
five, six year deal.
And then came up again and Ijust signed it again.
So you know, I think it's waypast it.
If they hear the story of GolfWeek, I think it's way too late
for anything to be done at thispoint and so, and probably I
have more, I have more juicethan now than I did back then,
you know.
So, uh, so I think that madedennis and I pretty fast friends

(29:24):
and uh, and so it's been a goodrelationship.
And you know, for golf week, Imean it's it's pretty awesome.
You know it's great promotion,it's great um exposure for golf
week and, uh, I think it alsohelped the tour grow over the
years too.
So, uh, so yeah, that's kind ofmy uh, my story with uh, with

(29:45):
dennis and the tour and, and youknow you guys mentioned, uh,
robbie and tom.
You know I've been, I've knowntom for a long time and Robbie
for a super long time and theydid an amazing job here and you
know they're still gonna bearound.
You know, I mean Robbie'salready signed up and he's gonna
play in a bunch of our eventsand help Daniel and I out, and

(30:08):
hopefully Tom will be out thereonce in a while as well.
So we'll still count on Robbiein a big way, uh, even though
he's kind of officially retired.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Yeah, yeah.
So so let me, let me ask you aquestion when, when you signed
the contract, did you sign yourname or did you sign the, the
fired guy's name?

Speaker 3 (30:29):
No, you know what I was, you know I signed my name.
I, uh, I didn't want to signhis name.
Well, he was a goner, I guess Icould.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
But no, I signed my name.
Yes, that's a funny story, butagain, it's been a great
partnership for both GolfWeekend and the tour.
And you're right, I know it'sgrown, the tour.
I mean it's been beneficialfrom our perspective.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
I'm not sure where Dennis was back then in terms of
number of members, but I thinkit helped him grow and you know,
of course, in 2020, I know itwas a big growth time, but it's
been a nice partnership and and,uh, you know he's, he's helped
us.
We've gotten some sponsors overthe years together, like edwin
watts and taylor made and nowstrict's on.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
So, you know it's, it's a nice, it's a nice
partnership yeah it, it reallyis so, so you're gonna be well,
you just got back from you werein at stream song this past week
.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
Yeah, I um.
So I mean I don't know ifeverybody knows, but so
obviously I work at golf weekand I run golf events for the
magazine, and so I had a groupof not a huge group, maybe 28
out there uh, playing for fourdays and, and not everything I
do.
I do about 60 events a year.

(31:58):
Half of them are competitiveevents like college tournaments
and competitive seniortournaments, and then the other
half are for people who rategolf courses.
So I run this program for GolfWeek, where we have about 750,
800 people, for golf week, wherewe have about 750 800 people,

(32:21):
and they, um, they uh go outthere for me and for golf week
and rate courses, and then we umuh published list of the best
top 100 courses, best resorts, best real estate.
I mean we have a list foreverything and uh, and so that's
a that's kind of a fun thingthat I get to do, and so
StreamSong was my last event ofthe year.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
And so it's a good way to finish.
It really is, so you guys aretaking over the Orlando tour.
How do you and Daniel get?

Speaker 3 (32:53):
hooked up together.
I'll let Daniel answer that one.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Say it again.

Speaker 6 (33:01):
Sorry, I can barely hear you how did you and Armin
get hooked up together, so he ismarried to my sister.
I don't know how long you guyshave been married, like 10 years
or something, three years so Ikind of got my foot in the door
that way.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
I think we've been married like seven or eight
years.
I mean, come on three, I've got.
I've got a five-year-old kid.

Speaker 6 (33:23):
So we've been married at least five years, you know.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
But, yeah, here we go .
Yeah, so, daniel, uh, you know, when this came open, daniel
just loves golf man, and youknow, probably, he pretty sure
he loves golf more than I do.
And so, uh, I thought you, Ithought, you know, the only way
I could possibly do this is witha partner, and and, uh, you
know, daniel uh said, sure, let's do it.
And so, uh, I think we'll, uh,hopefully make a pretty good

(33:46):
team because, uh, you know, he'syounger, smarter, uh, social
media savvy, and and, uh and uh,hopefully that'll help us get a
few more members and stuff likethat.
And and then, initially, I kindof have been doing, you know,
quite a bit to get new coursesand and so we're not going to
change a lot because, you know, like, robbie and Tom have been

(34:10):
doing a great job.
But one of the first things wedid, or I did with daniel, is,
um, get some new courses.
So I think out of 14 courses,we have like seven new courses
that they didn't play last year.
So, uh, so that was kind of twoof which are private as well
right, nice, yeah, we've got uhheathrow country club and uh

(34:34):
aliqua lakes, um, so, anyway, um, uh, so that's fun to get in
there on saturday morning, 8 30shotgun.
So I mean that's pretty gooddeal.
And then uh, and then uh, youknow all of our tournaments
saturday morning 8 or 8 3030shotguns.
So just you know, not alwaysthat easy here in Orlando.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Right, what's up?
Buddy Say hi, hi, how you doing.
You're going to be internetfamous before you turn six.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
That's good.
You know he's going to be outthere wreaking havoc because I'm
going to bring him out with me.
Daniel will be doing most ofthe playing at the tournaments
and my man here and I we'regoing to drive around and try to
keep the pace of play going andmake sure everybody's moving

(35:29):
along.
That should help things.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
Why does this thing never work?
So?

Speaker 3 (35:34):
that's kind of the plan right now.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
This is not working.
Okay, shh, go on, I'll be rightthere.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Well, if you can get 830 shotguns on Saturdays,
that's perfect.
And you know, you and I talkedat National Championship.
Being able to hang out at thegolf course with your kids is
something special.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, it should be fun.
If he doesn't listen to me,maybe he'll listen to Uncle
Daniel.

Speaker 6 (36:01):
Yeah, uh-oh.

Speaker 8 (36:03):
Where's his store?

Speaker 1 (36:07):
On your schedule you said you got seven new courses
which, if somebody can only cometo one of your tournaments
let's just say somebody iscoming from atlanta or el paso
which one would you tell them tocome to?

Speaker 3 (36:21):
well, I'll pick one and I'll let daniel pick one,
but, um, I I would say so.
I mean, I think our schedule inorlando and you know, everybody
knows, in florida it's prettytricky in march, april, february
, march and April, right.
So we got some decent courses, but in terms of getting on these
courses at a rate that isworkable, it's a little tricky.

(36:44):
But starting in June, in Julyand August, we really have some
nice ones.
I would probably go with whatDaniel said.
Uh, one of our, you know, either one of our Heathrow or
Aliqua ones.
Uh, again, private clubs, Idon't think they've been used.
I guess maybe Heathrow has beenused on our senior tour, um,

(37:06):
but um, but I don't know that.
It's been on our AM tour and Iknow, I know he didn't get it on
a Saturday morning.
So that's, that's kind of cool,right.
So I think those would beprobably the ones I would say
you know, take a look at, mightbe worth the drive over from you
know, somewhere outside of.

Speaker 6 (37:26):
Orlando or whatever, I would say the same thing.
It's just like basically aprestigious course.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
You're not playing it unless you either know a member
, or you're coming down toorlando to play on the amp tour.
Yeah, and the and the otherones, I, you know, I think
everybody will know or, like iswe're going to go back, we're
going to play champions gate andplay the international course,
reunion, the watson course, um,and one that I think I, yes, you
have.
And then I think the one thatmight be really interesting is
shingle creek.
So shingle creek is one thatit's.

(38:04):
It's not too far from theairport, it's a pretty nice, uh,
arnold palmer design, I believe, and uh, and they've redid it
over the last five years and Idon't, I'm almost positive
nobody, none of the tour hasever played there, so that could
be a fun one to come out toothat's.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
That's pretty awesome .
I haven't heard of that one,but but obviously champions gate
and reunion celebration.
You know orange lake I meanorange lake's fun.
Yeah, yeah, you know OrangeLake I mean Orange Lake's fun.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Yeah, yeah, you know, to be honest, I haven't even
gone out there and played in along time.
But uh, we did just make that atwo day event where we're
learning the ropes here, and wehad one tournament had to.
I had to cancel or I'm tryingto rework because, uh, the uh
course, uh got got bought and sothen they said, hey, you can't

(38:56):
come, blah, blah, blah.
So so I'm, so I we ended upmaking orange lake a two-day
event, so I think that'll begood, since that's a pretty good
golf course yeah, but I mean, who's gonna complain?

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I'll play.
Play an orange lake youtube fortwo days all right, that's
right, you know yeah, I think itshould.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
Are you playing both courses at orange lake or just
just the?

Speaker 3 (39:18):
legend.
We're just gonna go with thelegends.
Yeah, I debated about it and uh, and talked to daniel, but I
think you know playing the samecourse is probably better, and
it's a better course, I guess, from from of the two.
So we try to get.
Yeah, when my sister yeah, no,yeah, when my sister.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
Yeah, no, I was going to say when my sister got
married over there.
She lives in Orlando now and meand my brother stayed on Orange
Lake.
Oh nice Because my mom has atimeshare there and we played
both.
We made sure to play allcourses, even the night.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
part three course which was really fun.
Is that right?
That is cool, yeah, Very cool.
So um.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Daniel, what flight are you going to be in?

Speaker 6 (40:04):
Um C flight.
Okay, I'm a fairly new golferbeen playing maybe six years but
uh got addicted quick beforeyou know trust me, but got
addicted quick.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
You'll be in the beef before you know it, trust me.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
I'm sure.

Speaker 6 (40:17):
It fluctuates.
I mean most people know thatplay golf, I mean I can be on
fire for a whole month and thenthe next month.
It's like I've never playedbefore.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
So hopefully I can just keep it going strong.
Well, you know, playing regulargolf and playing tournament
golf are really a couple, twodifferent things, and if and if
you're going to be working andbeing in charge, that's even
another level that you, that you, got to deal with.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
Yeah, I don't.
I watched Robbie Daniel.
I went out a couple of times atthe end of the season and he's,
he's doing it all, all man.
He was running it, doing theskins and then going out and
playing and almost winning it.

Speaker 6 (41:03):
I was out there a day also and I mean I sat there and
learned how, like checkingpeople in and all that, and then
, alright, get in the cart, let's go, let's hit the range,
get a couple balls straight tothe tee.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Exactly, Chris.
You think we should set him upwith Cephas and have Cephas give
him the required equipment forthe cart.

Speaker 4 (41:26):
I mean, yeah, we definitely could.
I don't know if you've seenCephas' cart, but you'd have to
get there extra early to put upflags, set up the table and then
set up your cart.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
if that's the case, You'll have to get us in on that
one.
I don't know, but I know wehave flags and everything else.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
I think Cephas has like three different iPads, a
couple phones all attached tohis cart so he can monitor
everything and he knows thedistance.

Speaker 4 (41:53):
That's a cool idea no .
Now, when it takes him half anhour to set up and half an hour
to take apart.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
He's got four cigar holders all over his cart.

Speaker 3 (42:06):
Any beer coolers.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
That's important.
That's why I don't think I'llbe playing.
I'll be driving around doingthat.

Speaker 6 (42:18):
I've seen recently.
It's a thing that holds yourhot dog and you place it where
the like you can put your sparegolf balls.
He needs one of those.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
Now, come on now.
If it's me, the hot dog is goneby the time we get back to the
cart.

Speaker 6 (42:33):
Usually yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Okay, say hi, here's another one.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
How you doing.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
Say hi.
All right, I held him off aslong as I could.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
No, it's all good.
It's all good.
When we were at NationalChampionship, we had Kelvin
Hughes' kids come on and talk tous for a while too.
So you know, armin you, youknow how I feel about this if we
don't get kids involved wedon't have fun with this stuff,
you know the game golf's gonnabe in trouble because we're all.

(43:08):
We're all too old, you know wewe need to have the young people
coming in, so I love having thekids?

Speaker 3 (43:13):
Yeah, I agree with you for sure and you know, over
the years I've run a ton ofjunior golf and man, the kids
are getting good nowadays, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
They are, Dan.
You got any kids?

Speaker 6 (43:27):
Yeah, I have two Over there on the couch sleeping.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
They're kind of furry .
And they don't cry and talk toomuch.

Speaker 6 (43:41):
They're not in my camera screaming and squealing.

Speaker 1 (43:43):
That's all right.
Well, guys, thank you so muchfor joining us.
I'm looking forward to seeingwhat you guys do, and I know for
sure I'll be spending some timedown in Florida with all the
regionals that are down there,so hopefully we'll see each
other.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
That would be great.
Of course, the season we suredo appreciate you having us on,
though, and we're lookingforward to a fun season and and
and seeing how everything goesaround here, it should be pretty
good yeah it's going to begreat, All right guys, you guys
take care and um merry christmas, you too, thank you.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Let's take a break from the show to hear about
strixon's zx mark ii drivers zxmark ii drivers are for major
players, major winners, majorpower.

Speaker 5 (44:33):
All new zx mark ii drivers only from shrix on tim.

Speaker 4 (44:39):
What a that was an interesting story that arman
told us about how um the golfweek became the main sponsor.
I don't think we would haveever known, and hopefully it
doesn't get in trouble for that.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
But that he was a part of the whole thing.
I and I knew that the head ofgolf week was let go right
before it happened, but I didn'tknow that arm was the guy who
just decided to sign it.
That's pretty funny, um,honestly.
And then he signed the next onetoo.

(45:10):
That's just.
I just think it's pretty funny.

Speaker 4 (45:13):
Yeah, it's crazy.
I mean glad he signed his name,or else that could have gone
really bad real quick.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
But I mean you want to know what I thought was funny
that his brother-in-law didn'trealize he'd been married right?

Speaker 4 (45:29):
no, not.
Yeah, brother-in-law didn'trealize how long he'd been
married.

Speaker 1 (45:32):
Yeah, I mean, we've been keeping it a secret.
We've been keeping it a secret.
We've been keeping it a secret.

Speaker 4 (45:40):
But I mean it's good to have him on board.
I think they'll have a goodtime out there in Orlando and
now I know who to call when I'mthere with the family.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Exactly and you know I've only met the family Exactly
.
And, uh, you know I've, I'veonly I met Daniel briefly,
national championship but butour arm is a lot of fun, um,
good guy to be around.
And you know, they've got, they've got big shoes to fill
and we're, you know we're, we'regoing to miss Tom and Robbie
from the from Tom and Robbiefrom the director's perspective.
But Armand and Daniel, I think, are going to do a really good

(46:15):
job.

Speaker 4 (46:16):
Right?
I think so too.
I think they'll be.
They won't have any hiccups.

Speaker 1 (46:22):
Honestly, and they do have some of James' brothers
down there, so we know they'llkeep them in check.

Speaker 4 (46:31):
Or they'll come tell us.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
Well, we won't be able to do anything about it
because they'll keep us laughingtoo much.
But right, at least we'll havea good story, right, anyway.
So we're, you know, we'regetting down to it.
Not nine days till christmasman, nine days till.

Speaker 4 (46:52):
Christmas man, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
Isn't it?

Speaker 4 (46:57):
Crazy, I mean, as we're recording this nine days.

Speaker 1 (47:09):
But it just goes by so fast.
You better Number one.
If you haven't done yourChristmas shopping yet, you
better hurry up.
You got one.

Speaker 4 (47:17):
You got one weekend left yep one, and then, uh,
before you know it, it's gonnabe um popping fireworks for new
year's, if, if they allow you to, I mean mean it's crazy.
And then we start off with theicebreaker and next thing you
know, it's everything thathappens.

(47:40):
This holiday is going to be inthe past and we're not going to
talk about it anymore.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
We're going to be rolling.
I mean it's, we got ice, Ithink we got icebreaker, and
then the next weekend is.

Speaker 4 (47:53):
Vegas.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
We go back-to-back weekend I think so where do you
find the regional schedule?

Speaker 4 (48:00):
you know uh, I think under find my, find my local
tour, if you scroll all the wayto the bottom it'll say
regionals.
But it's there.
But I think no.
I think now that's on the mainhome page too yeah, it's, it's
it's.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
It's on the main homepage, but it's back-to-back
weekends.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
Yeah, so they have back-to-back weekends and then
the next weekend.
Man, you're just making me feelrushed now.
So, yeah, 4th and 5th,southwest, southwest, southern
icebreaker.
11th and 12th western statesicebreaker uh, 18th or the 19th

(48:43):
I'm going to uh, arizona'sseason opener, because I always
give them a good time.
I won the first one ever there,so that's great.
And then I start my season.
I have no weekend and then thatstarts on no weekends off.
It's craziness and you don'thave to deal with anymore lucky
duck man I'm still dealing withit, not as much as you're gonna.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
You think but we'll see so again.

Speaker 4 (49:20):
It's crazy, you're running out.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
You're running out of time.
I would get some.
I would get your registrationsin.
Start, seriously start, if.
If you haven't registered andjoined tour yet, please hurry up
and do that.
I know some.
The early bird specials aregonna be running out here at the
end of the month around thefirst of the early bird specials
are going to be running outhere at the end of the month
around the first of the year andI would seriously start

(49:41):
registering for not only yourlocal tournaments but the
regionals, because they're allgoing to sell out.
Let's just put it that way.

Speaker 6 (49:51):
They will sell out real quick.

Speaker 1 (49:52):
I believe that the Virginia regional is already
sold out.
Really that's Maybe not sothere's, so they're sitting at.
They're not sold out, notaccording to the website.

(50:15):
I thought I saw something onFacebook.
They were sold out, but theywill.
I know that won't sell outmaybe their first event could be
.
Maybe that's why I saw thefirst event, but I'm just
looking at, let's just say, thefirst, the first eight regionals
.

Speaker 4 (50:35):
They will also no doubt yeah, I gotta put my
registration in for uh firestoneyeah, you better hurry up.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
It'd be a shame for for you to travel all the way
out there and not play oh no,I'll be on that roster one way
or another, oh man well, so,speaking of Christmas shopping,
I don't know if you saw BrysonBryson, bryson Bry, the Bryson

(51:13):
Bryson.

Speaker 4 (51:15):
Bryson, bryson Like.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
Dyson, but with a B, Bryson.
Bryson DeChambeau's ishole-in-one challenge.
I thought it was hilarious.
Do you see that?
He was trying to hit a ballover top of his house, went to
his green and get a hole in oneand he did it like progressive.
So if he didn't get one on dayone, the next day he took two

(51:37):
shots.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
Right, I did see that One that house would not be
safe because my wedges don't gothat high.
I mean two stories is prettyhigh and he was far away too.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
Yeah, I don't go that high.

Speaker 4 (51:53):
I mean two stories, is pretty high, uh, and he was
far away too.
Yeah, I don't know the distance, but regardless, even if it was
a 60 degree, my, my 60 degreedoesn't go that high.
Um, two, uh, it's unfair thatit only took him what?
14 days to do that.
And, uh, I've been playing golffor over 10 years and still
don't have a hole-in-one.

(52:13):
So, um, that's two, uh, andthree, I mean, these, these live
golfers have nothing else to do.
So all they I mean they gotthey gotta figure out something
with their time.
They got all this money tospend and he's just gonna risk
his windows to uh try to hit ahole-in-one, I guess.
Oh, could you imagine?

Speaker 1 (52:33):
I mean to try to hit a hole-in-one, I guess.
Oh, could you imagine?
I mean, how many windows wouldyou break?
How many windows would like?
Take a good A-flight player, okay, how many windows do you
think a good A-flight playerwould break?

Speaker 8 (52:59):
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
I mean I'm, I'm a, I'm gonna be a okay player, I'm
gonna be a good one but as ofright now I'm an okay, um, maybe
shoot, maybe, as after they getto like day six or seven and
you know, within all of that, getting tired they might, or
frustrated, they might scold oneor two.
That's tough.

Speaker 1 (53:28):
I can't imagine, I don't know how pissed would your
wife be.

Speaker 4 (53:34):
I mean, I'm pretty sure if you have a house like
that, your insurance is okay.

Speaker 1 (53:37):
No, but that's not what I'm saying.
That's not what I'm saying.
I'm sure I mean, yeah, insurance is going to take care
of it, but that's not thequestion that I'm asking you.
Very pissed.

Speaker 4 (53:48):
Very.
I think after day one be likewhat the hell are you doing?

Speaker 1 (53:52):
think about like without even having anything
broken kitchen's in the back ofthe house, right, obviously that
house is beautiful.
It's got windows all the waythrough.
You knock a ball through thefront window, it goes all the
way through and hits her in theback of the head um, yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
I'm not doing anything with that.
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
Well, so anyway, oh, I forgot.
I forgot something.
Yes, hey, I know.
Hey, jen, can you bring the, the, the glasses around here?
We gotta do an unboxing.
I forgot about this, chris, oh,of what we got.
Jen, can you bring the glassesaround here?
We got to do an unboxing.

Speaker 4 (54:34):
I forgot about this, Chris.
Oh, what we got.

Speaker 1 (54:40):
So it's the National Championship.
I don't know if you rememberthe sunglass company John Does.

Speaker 4 (54:46):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 1 (54:48):
And they were nice enough to take care of me and
Jen and they gave us someprescription sunglasses.
Huh, and they came in yesterday, the day before, and I just

(55:13):
want to do an unboxing and showeverybody the quality of these
glasses here because I mean, sowe tried them on when they were
here for National Championship.

Speaker 8 (55:24):
Okay, which one's which.
I don't know these are mine, these are mine, these are mine,
put them on, put them on, putthem on, okay so these are Jen's
, and before I open them up, Ido want to say something,

(55:45):
because I don't know if youremember.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
You know, obviously, my prescription and when I put
them on at National Championshipthey were clearer.
I mean, I could see clearerthan I could now without
prescription.
Glasses, right, having these on.
That's how clear they were.
So they come in a nice box.
Congratulations.

(56:10):
You can read that You'reopening my box yeah, nobody can
see here's a nice case, open itup.
I want to see it do you knownothing about anticipation?
You know, we sing a song to ourfour year old granddaughter.

(56:31):
It's called the patient song.

Speaker 8 (56:33):
You gotta be patient.
You gotta wait, wait, wait.
You gotta wait, wait, wait.
Who knew?

Speaker 1 (56:41):
Oh man, this is great it is oh don't worry, we got
something for you too.
So you just hold your horse.
Some glasses, no.

Speaker 4 (56:51):
I haven't seen those in the mail yet.

Speaker 1 (56:55):
So this is actually a really nice case.
Not that I thought it wasn'tgoing to be nice, but so it's a
nice hard case.
You open it up, it's got alittle protective cover.
For you to put other things ina pouch there on the other side,
okay Okay.
For you to put other things ina pouch there on the other side,
okay Okay.
Put your glass cleaningsupplies, any small thing that

(57:17):
you want to put in there, right?

Speaker 6 (57:18):
right, right right.

Speaker 1 (57:31):
The glasses themselves come in another pouch
.

Speaker 8 (57:32):
They come wrapped up nice and protective.
Oh look how pretty.

Speaker 1 (57:42):
I'm going to break them.
Break them under glasses.
These are good looking.

Speaker 8 (57:47):
So I got a special color of my lollies.
Go ahead, let's see lens.
Okay, go ahead, let's see here.
There we go, look at that Lookat that, so my lens is a little
slightly different color.
They're, I think, a greeninstead of a brown and that's
because I have really difficultprescription.

(58:10):
So they did me a solid bygetting me.
I didn't think that I'd be ableto get it.
Because of my stigmatism, myeyesight, all that stuff, I
generally can't get cool glasses.
They said, oh, we can do it,we're going to do it this way.
Give you some great vision.

(58:32):
How cool is that?
I'm psyched.
So it's a real pretty lightblue you can tell.
A little different color of thelens, and if they can make it
great for me, they can work foranyone.

Speaker 1 (58:47):
So those are mine.
Let's see yours.
All right, let's open up mine.

Speaker 2 (58:59):
Let's see yours All right.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
Let's open up mine.
So again, the folks at John Doe.
I can't thank them enough fordoing this.

Speaker 8 (59:09):
I got to say one more thing, though I'm interrupting
because I'm now actually readingwith my sunglasses, which I've
never been able to do becauseI've not been able to get
properly fitted for prescriptionsunglasses.

Speaker 1 (59:24):
I'm reading the computer screen just as clearly
as I am with my regular glasses.

Speaker 8 (59:28):
I'm excited Nice.

Speaker 1 (59:30):
And just so everybody knows, on the packaging it says
enhancing the red, green andblue spectrums.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
I guess that's a thing.

Speaker 1 (59:42):
I don't know about that.
I just put the glasses on andhope, hopefully, that they work
well.
I got a congratulations cardfrom Johan as well.
Again, nice case.
It's actually the same kind ofcase with the pouch, and

(01:00:03):
honestly.
So, there's a couple thingsthat I'm willing to spend money
on.
One is sunglasses, the other isshoes.
To me, you've got to have goodshoes shoes and you got to have
good eye protection.
Right, and we're not talkingabout bourbon, obviously, we're
going to spend money on that too, but, of course that's a given.

(01:00:24):
I think everybody knows that, solet's take a look here, oh yeah

(01:00:48):
, Relax, James Bond.

Speaker 8 (01:00:51):
My goodness.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Pretty cool, isn't it ?
Wow, this is.
I can't wait to go outside.
I'm just these are.

(01:01:16):
I can't explain to you howcrisp these things are.
I mean so, obviously I'mlooking at the camera and I'm
looking at my computer screensand that sort of thing, but
let's just say that the letters, the fonts on the computer
screen I got the Golf Weekwebsite pulled up on one screen
here Just the fonts.
I'm talking crisp, crisp, crisp.

(01:01:39):
These are phenomenal, Jim.
We're going to have to get themon and thank them.
These are.

Speaker 4 (01:01:52):
They did a phenomenal job with these yeah, I mean, I
tried them at nationals, uh onthe putting green and and it was
great to see.
So, uh, I'll have to get me apair eventually and uh see if
they'll replace the oakley's.
I'm pretty sure they will, because it's just, it did bring
out the the colors on the golfcourse as well.

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
Yeah, so thanks, guys , and we'll put their
information in the show notesfor everybody.
But again, I can't thank youguys enough for taking care of
us and sending us these.
This is going to be a gamechanger.
It's going to be a game changerfor me being outside and some
of the things that I do, youknow, not only with golf, but

(01:02:39):
it's going to.
I mean, I don't know if you knowthis, christian I fly drones.
I got a drone, right.
No, I know that, and that'sright.
You've been there and beingable to this is going to help me
be able to look at both thedrone in the air and the
computer screen without havingto to be on and off, switch back
and forth.
Yep, so this that's gonna be.

(01:03:00):
Anyway, thanks, guys, and, likeI said, we'll put them in the
show notes for you.
Um and chris, you know, like Isaid, we do have something for
you as well.
And what, what, what, what, nothing, nothing, we need to.

(01:03:22):
I don't know who we actuallyneed to thank for this, but uh,
the the elf on the shelf a achris tradition.

Speaker 4 (01:03:41):
Um, apparently somebody from the.
Uh, so it's.
I assume he's a listener.
He has to be a listener becausewe talked about it last episode
and how I was going to getjordan to be my elf on the shelf
for some of the raffles, because immediately the next day
I get a text message from Gabe, the Arizona director, that one
of his members, brian Eastman, made this and sent it to him.

(01:04:06):
And yeah, I mean it is.
You know, as we're recordingthis, it is our Ryder Cup
rivalry week, so it's been trashtalking going along back and
forth and this one was the tipof the iceberg.
I guess this wins, this wins.
I'm nervous on what's to comein the future with all of this,

(01:04:33):
but I'm a good sport about itand we're just going to go ahead
and go with that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
Well, I think it's awesome, and you said it's Brian
Eastman and you're going to seehim at the Ryder Cup.

Speaker 4 (01:04:47):
I'm going to see him at the Ryder Cup and yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
All right, well, let's get him booked for an
episode in January.

Speaker 4 (01:04:55):
Yeah, we'll get him on here, Brian you're great he
was very creative.

Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
So here's the thing, Brian you know, if you're going
to do these types of things, you've got to come on.
You can't just do these thingsand not come on.
So it's a mandatory showappearance and I'm looking
forward to talking to you.

Speaker 4 (01:05:14):
I'm pretty sure he is a good story because he RV'd
from Arizona to Nationals andthen back to Arizona, so he's
probably got a good big storyabout this.
So I'll definitely talk to himat Ryder Cup and we'll see what
we can schedule we will get himon then.

Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
alright, my friend, hope up and we'll see if we can
schedule.
We will get him one then.
My friend, I hope you enjoy myshelf.
Your shelf, it's a Christradition.
I hope you guys have a veryMerry Christmas.

(01:05:53):
