What makes Gina Scheller with Ingomar Auto Tags a good neighbor?

Ever wonder where to go when you need to register or title your vehicle? Gina Scheller from Ingomar Auto Tags joins us to clear up common misconceptions about motor vehicle services in Pennsylvania. Unlike many states with local DMV branches, Pennsylvania's main department is located only in Harrisburg, making motor vehicle agents like Gina essential for handling your vehicle documentation needs.

Gina shares her journey from stay-at-home mom during COVID to becoming a problem-solving expert in the motor vehicle industry. She explains the crucial difference between photo license centers (which only handle driver's licenses) and motor vehicle agents like herself who process all vehicle-related paperwork. This distinction saves Pennsylvania residents unnecessary trips and frustration when dealing with automotive documentation.

What makes Ingomar Auto Tags special is Gina's dedication to solving problems. "I don't necessarily think I've ever turned anybody away," she notes, emphasizing her commitment to helping customers navigate even the most complex vehicle registration issues. Whether contacting banks, lien holders, or state offices, Gina embraces challenges to find solutions for her clients. When not helping customers with their vehicle paperwork, she enjoys camping in Harmony, PA with her two young daughters. Need assistance with your vehicle documentation? Stop by Ingomar Auto Tags, email, text, call, or reach out through Facebook to get the help you need.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place
where local businesses andneighbors come together.
Here's your host, Lila Carter.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast.
Are you in need of a motorvehicle agency?
One might be closer than youthink.
Today I have the pleasure ofintroducing your good neighbor,
Gina Scheller, with Ingmar AutoTags.
Gina, how's it going?
It's going good.
How are you?
Excellent.
Thank you so much.

(00:34):
We're excited to learn allabout you and your business.
Please tell us about yourcompany.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
So I am a motor vehicle agent and you would
basically come here to title orregister your vehicle.
Every state's different, sosome states have an actual
department that you would go to,whereas Pennsylvania, the only
big department is in Harrisburg.

(01:00):
So unless you're going to driveto Harrisburg, this is where
you'd go to do anything.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Excellent.
How did you get into thisbusiness, Gina?

Speaker 3 (01:11):
I was actually a stay-at-home mom for a few years
and then during COVID I kind ofjust couldn't do it anymore.
So, just looking around, Ifound a place that you didn't
need any experience and then Ijust kind of caught on fast.

(01:31):
There's not too muchcompetition around here, so
after leaving the other twolocal places, it was either find
something else to do or go onmy own.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Right, what are some?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
myths or misconceptions in this industry.
Um, definitely the main one iseveryone thinks that the photo
license center is the dmv, whereas it's not.
So a lot of people actually goto the photo license center to
do anything motor vehicle wise, but technically I'm considered

(02:15):
the DMV.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Okay, so they can.
A customer can get doneanything at the DMV that could
get done with you.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Basically except printing out driver's license.
But you can't do anything motorvehicle-wise there.
They only do driver's license,Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
And so, as we know that marketing is the heart of
the business, who are yourtarget customers and how do you
track them?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Really anyone is, as long as you're old enough to buy
a vehicle, and a lot of itseems to be word of mouth.
It's kind of a goofy industrybecause I don't necessarily have
anything to offer.
Market wise, normally you don'tcome in because you want to.

(03:12):
You come in because you have towhether you need something
notarized or you need to, youknow, switch a title.
But you don't normally justcome in to browse as like a
regular store.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Right, and usually it's yeah, people meeting in
need.
Have you ever thought aboutdoing your own podcast to get
the word out and let people knowthat you're there?

Speaker 3 (03:36):
I've never.
I don't have much knowledgewith the podcast industry so
besides, like in the localnewspaper and and online and
things, I've really only justtried to knowledge people that

(03:58):
I'm here.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Outside of work.
What do you do for fun?

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Well, I normally am at camp.
We stay at a campground up inHarmony, PA, where my two young
girls were normally thereconstantly.
So besides that, not much.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Oh, I love going to camp.
That's great.
So, Gina, please tell ourlisteners one thing that they
should remember about IngmarAutotax.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I would definitely say it's problem solving.
I don't necessarily think I'veever turned anybody away,
necessarily think I've everturned anybody away.
I normally try to help as muchas I can in figuring out the

(04:53):
problem, even if it's goingbeyond contacting you know other
, you know the banks or lienholders or the state, to try to
figure out what the problem is.
I like the challenge, sodefinitely a good spot for me,
and if you are confused and havea problem, there's always ways

(05:16):
around it.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
And how can our listeners learn more about
Ingramar Auto Tags?

Speaker 3 (05:23):
about Ingmar Autotags .
I would say just stopping in.

the office phone, call theoffice phone, reach out through
Facebook.
