Speaker 2 (00:13):
Welcome to the Good
Neighbor Podcast.
Are you in need of achiropractic clinic?
One might be closer than youthink.
Today I have the pleasure ofintroducing your good neighbors,
doctors Eric and Rowan Grebe, with Grebe Chiropractic Clinic.
How are you both doing?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Great.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Doing great, Awesome.
We're happy to have you hereand we're excited to learn all
about you and your business.
So please, one of you, jump inand tell us about the company.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Absolutely Well.
I'm Dr Eric and we began thepractice.
I began the practice back in1995 here in Wexford.
We've been blessed to haveseveral different locations
within Wexford but we've been inour existing building now since
2002.
2002, have practiced amultitude of different
(01:05):
techniques and combined thatwith the best care that we
possibly can for our patients inpain relief, rehabilitation and
for wellness of our patients.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Excellent, and how
did you both get into this
business?
We can share one at a time here.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Sure, well, actually
my uncle was a chiropractor and
he practiced over by Kennywoodand I was able, as as I was
growing up, to be able to go andsee his practice and be a part
of a lot of what he did withchiropractic, and he was an
(01:47):
inspiration to me.
And so back in 1989, I went tochiropractic school and
graduated in 1993 with my degreeas a doctor of chiropractic.
I practiced for two years downin Georgia in a group practice
and then moved up here in 1995to open our own practice.
(02:08):
But that same experience, Ithink, happened for Rowan
because he grew up inchiropractic.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, that was kind
of what I was going to jump into
.
Is that very similar experienceto my dad's in that I was
around chiropractic since I wasborn and so I was really used to
it?
And then I got the opportunity.
I worked here at the office asa high schooler all through my
time in high school and doing alot of the therapeutic stuff
that I was able to do and um,and then went to undergrad in
(02:37):
high point North Carolina athigh point university and then
moved to life university in uh,georgia.
after that, the same place thatmy dad went to and, yeah, I was
educated and then joined thepractice in 2022.
And, yeah, it's been a greatexperience ever since.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
It's been wonderful
to practice together these past
three plus years with Rowan herein the office, and to do it as
a team.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah, I love that you
guys get to share that legacy
and build that together.
That's very special, andcongratulations on 30 years.
That's amazing, yeah.
So what are some common myths,or maybe misconceptions, in the
chiropractic industry?
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Um, I would say one
of the big um myths and
misconceptions, I think, is thatpeople think that chiropractic
care is only for pain relief, and that's not necessarily the
case.
Certainly, we see a lot of painand we help a lot of people
with their pain, but there arealso different phases to
chiropractic care.
There's pain relief and thenthere's also a rehabilitative
phase where we're working onproprioception, spinal
(03:44):
biomechanics, people's strengthand stability in their core, so
that they can live a morepain-free life.
And then we also have wellnesscare, which is a super crucial
and important aspect ofchiropractic care.
Studies show that patients thatreceive benefit after acute
(04:04):
chiropractic care only maintainthat benefit if they follow it
by subsequent periodicadjustments.
And so that's where thewellness care comes in, that we
get people to a place wherethey're doing well, or they're
already doing well, and we keepthem well and we maximize their
function.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Absolutely.
I know I feel so much betterafter a regular adjustment.
And so you have these peoplethat are dealing with chronic
pain and you also have thepeople that are maybe you know.
I guess for your uncle it wasnear Kennywood and just got off
of being jerked around on aroller coaster and needed a
chiropractor, so that's reallycool.
So who are your targetcustomers and how do you attract
(04:41):
them to the business?
When we're thinking aboutmarketing as the heart of the
business, yeah, Well, I wouldsay anybody with a spine is a
potential customer.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
but the reality is
what we really are focused on
initially, with patients in care, is typically relieving the
health issues that they'rehaving, whether that's a disc
issue in a low back or whiplashfrom an auto accident, headaches
and migraines, neck pain, midback pain, low back pain.
(05:15):
The focus initially is on thatpain relief and then we move
forward with the rehabilitationpart of things.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, I think it's
really special that you get to
help people live a morecomfortable life.
I know chronic pain can justget in the way of everything
that you do, and so, in order toreach your client base and
inform them more about the kindsof offerings that you have and
also how chiropractic care caninfluence their life and their
(05:45):
quality of life, have you everthought about possibly starting
your own podcast to talk tothese folks?
Speaker 4 (05:51):
life.
Have you ever thought aboutpossibly starting your own
podcast to talk to these folks?
You know what we talked aboutit, but it's not something that
we felt that we've really beeninterested in reaching them in
that way.
We've had a lot of success withour social media presence, and
so we have daily posts going outand then we make a lot of
videos and stuff.
So it's not something thatwe've necessarily been
interested in, but we have seensuccess with what we've done on
that and then with our websiteas well, and then word of mouth
(06:14):
is huge for chiropractic care aswell with our internal
referrals and that patients getbetter and they bring their
husband in, and then they bringtheir son in and then they tell
their aunt and uncle about itand they come in and we really
spread the word that way as well, because having a doctor is a
very personal thing, and sowhenever you have somebody
(06:35):
that's had personal experiencewith a good personal experience
with a doctor, it's it's a hugewin for us from that perspective
.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
I would also say with
the, I would also say with the
fact that we've been here forover 30 years now, that with the
care that we provided, that wereceived in excess of 95% of our
new patients or referrals fromother patients that have had
positive outcomes and positiveexperiences with us as doctors,
(07:07):
and also our staff in the waythat we manage their care and
their insurance, and theexperience that they receive
here at Green ChiropracticClinic.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Very good, yeah.
Whenever someone can positivelyinfluence your life, it's like
you want to shout from therooftops about well, you need to
go see this person too.
You know, imagine what they cando for you, so that's great.
Outside of work, what do youguys do for fun?
Speaker 3 (07:35):
We both play golf,
and so that's a fun thing that
we do as a family.
Together we spend a lot of timeboating, wakeboarding, wake
surfing, water skiing and, mostimportantly, it's family.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yeah, for sure, I
have a.
I have a 14 and a half monthold daughter, so I spend a lot
of time with her and my wife, and then we have a dog Birdie,
so we like to go on like hikesand stuff like that.
And then I also I have a musicdegree actually, and so I love
playing music.
That's something I really enjoy.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Oh, very cool.
Is there one kind of instrumentthat you play?
Speaker 4 (08:11):
My degree is in vocal
performance, so I would say
singing is the main thing, but Iplay a host of instruments.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Oh, very nice.
I'm sure that your daughterappreciates the lullabies that
you get to sing to her.
For sure she does.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
She absolutely does,
it's fun.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Aw.
So please tell our listenersone thing that they should
remember about Free ChiropracticClinic.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
I would say that if
there's any pain at all that
you're possibly experiencing orany dysfunction at all that
you're possibly experiencing, togive us a call, because what we
can do can either help a littlebit or a lot, and that benefit
is something that I wish thateverybody knew, that everybody
can benefit from chiropracticcare, even if it's not
(08:58):
necessarily pain but justwanting to function better in
general.
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (09:04):

listeners learn more about Grief
