What makes Tiffany Prince with Top of the Mountain Leadership a good neighbor?

Ever wondered how your business can harness AI without getting overwhelmed? Meet Tiffany Prince, your good neighbor and founder of Top of the Mountain Leadership, who works at the critical intersection of technology, people, and processes for small to mid-sized businesses.

Tiffany shares her unexpected journey from manufacturing to becoming a passionate leadership developer and organizational consultant. She clarifies an important distinction between coaching and therapy—while therapy often looks backward at past experiences, coaching is forward-facing, helping leaders plan strategically and develop the skills needed for future success.

For business owners feeling uncertain about AI implementation, Tiffany offers a structured approach through her free assessment based on six critical success factors. Rather than letting technology lead your strategy, she helps companies align their business goals with appropriate technological solutions. Her comprehensive assessment examines everything from data quality and change readiness to AI policy development—all crucial elements of successful digital transformation.

Beyond her consulting work, Tiffany has launched "Talent Transformation Tuesday" on LinkedIn, focusing on the evolving employee experience from recruitment through retirement. She emphasizes keeping "humans in the loop" as technology advances, viewing AI not as a replacement for workers but as a tool to enhance human capabilities and provide employees with "superpowers."

Whether you're just starting to explore AI possibilities or looking to refine your leadership development programs, Tiffany's practical approach and accessible resources can help guide your journey. Check out her YouTube channel for quick insights, connect with her on LinkedIn for regular wisdom about navigating change, or visit topofthemountainleadership.com to learn how she can help transform your organization into a more adaptable, forward-thinking powerhouse.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast.
Are you in need of anorganizational development
consultant?
One might be closer than youthink.
Today I have the pleasure ofintroducing your good neighbor,
tiffany Prince with Top of theMountain Leadership.
Tiffany, how's it going?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
It's going really well.
Thanks for having me here today.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Thanks for being here .
We're excited to learn allabout you and your business, so
please tell us more about yourorganization.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, so I work at the intersection with small to
mid-sized businesses oftechnology, people and processes
, and we know there's a lot ofchange that's going on around
that right now, especially withAI, a lot of uncertainty where
do I get started?
So I've worked with executivesto help them think about their
strategy and also developleadership programs and training

(01:04):
programs that align with thatto make sure that you're meeting
your business goals.
So I work at all levels oforganizations, helping them to
align across the board to makesure that they're achieving what
they want to achieve and growtheir business.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Very good.
And how did you get into thisbusiness, Tiffany?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
How did you get into this business, tiffany?
A long time ago I was inmanufacturing and we were
ramping up and growing ourselves.
In that scenario and I gottapped on the shoulder to be a
trainer and at first I wasn'tsure if that's what I really
wanted to do full time.
But I gave it a go and then, once I stepped into it, I really
figured out that I lovedeveloping and coaching others

(01:47):
and helping that light bulbmoment go off for others.
So I've been kind of growing inthat space multiple different
industries and I've lived andworked around the world helping
organizations do the same.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
What are some myths or maybe misconceptions in the
coaching industry?
What are?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
some myths or maybe misconceptions in the coaching
industry that it's therapy, which can be a fine line between
you know what we're providing, which coaches are looking
forward facing.
So how can we do better intothe future?
How do we plan for that?
How do we change our behaviorsin that moment?
Therapy is looking at thingsthat may have happened in the

(02:26):
past, or traumas or differentthings that you may need to
think about or mull over, butthat's definitely a very
specialized and higher educationcertification than what I have.
I'm more about businesscoaching, leadership.
When you step into leadershiproles, what things do you need
to know, especially if this isthe first time you're being a

(02:48):
leader?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Right, well, that's a great analogy for our listeners
there.
So, as we think about marketingas the heart of any business.
Who are your target customersand how are you attracting them
to top of the mountainleadership?

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Yeah.
So a lot of the owners that Iwork with so small to mid-sized
business owners, a lot ofcompanies need to think about
the AI strategy.
So I have been doing a lot ofkind of speaking engagements and
training sessions and podcastslike this to kind of get out
there to talk about you know, where are you in your journey?
I have a very quick assessmentthat can kind of give you a very

(03:29):
quick view of where you are, based on six critical success
factors that I have, and that'sfree.
If anybody wants to reach outto me, I can get that, and then
I'll give you your results inthe areas of you know, not just
the technology.
Where's your data, what state isit in?
What do we need to do to cleanthat up?
What is your change readinessaround this and have you put an

(03:52):
AI policy in place?
So I just kind of talk throughwith the owners to think about
where are they in there and whatare their goals.
And then I also have a bank ofuse cases that can kind of get
them kick-started in where theycan address those business
issues and find the righttechnology.
Instead of technology leadingthem, it's more about your

(04:15):
strategy and your business goalsand then thinking about what
technology makes sense to pullin.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
So there's so many things to consider whenever
you're thinking about what makessense for your business.
Have you ever thought aboutstarting a podcast to help
people figure it out?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
It's funny that you should say that I actually just
kicked off last week a TalentTransformation Tuesday that I'm
hosting on LinkedIn.
So if you want to find me onLinkedIn, I would love for you
to join that conversation.
It's really going to be aboutthe employee experience, from
coming into the door, recruiting, all the way to when they're

(04:53):
retiring, and there's so manythings that are changing and
moving at the moment and, ofcourse, ai is a big part of that
and how we're bringing peopleon and also how we are
leveraging the technology.
I always say we have to havethat human in the loop.
So, talking about how does thathelp enhance our employees, to
give them superpowers?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Absolutely, and so, outside of work, what do you do
for fun?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Yeah, so I love hanging out with my husband and
my dog.
We like to take walks.
This weekend we just went up toErie, pennsylvania, for the
first time and kind of checkedout that space up there and
poked around in some of thevineyards.
So we really just like to takemini road trips and explore
different parts of the country.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Oh, very nice.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
What kind of pup do you have?
She is a retriever mix from.
As a rescue I've got her andshe's 11 years old, yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Probably a great family dog, yep.
Tiffany please tell ourlisteners one thing that they
should remember about top of themountain leadership.

Speaker 3 (06:00):

about AI and don't know where toget started, I do have some

to deal with change, which isall around us, but there are
definitely ways to manage thatand be a change leader versus

(06:45):
getting overwhelmed and notknowing where to start.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
