Well, we have over 50 years of experience between my
son and I.
We're a father-son team andwe're locally Stewart and Fort
St Lucie.
We service anywhere from Miamito Naples to Cocoa Beach, all up
and down the Treasure Coast.
We do anything from Section 8to multi-billion dollar industry

(01:04):
.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
So tell me, James, how did you get into this
business?

Speaker 3 (01:11):
My mother owned well, actually, my dad bought a
construction company, so my momwould stop visiting him at work
to keep her busy, and so she putall my uncles to work, and
since I was about seven yearsold I've had a tool belt on, and
then my son, since he was about10 months old.
I each had a tool belt on.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
So it's like the salt and pepper you put in your food
.
Huh, it's in your blood.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Absolutely, and it's funny too, because we both have
college degrees in business, butwe've applied our business
aspect to the building aspect.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
So what are some of the myths and misconceptions of
the contractor constructionbusiness.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Well, as far as what I've come across is, you get a
lot of people get what they payfor.
So if the price seems too goodto be true, generally you're
going to get garbage.
I would always ask my customersif they did their due diligence
.
You know, check with a fewpeople first and then go with

(02:17):
the best option.
If everybody's right in thesame range, then that's a good
thing.
Always check the Google offtheir website.
Make sure they have goodratings.
The reviews I have.
I have three platforms.
I have South Florida remodeling, Palm Beach painting and
anything renovations which islocally, and I've been with

(02:41):
South Florida remodeling foreight years and Palm Beach
Painting, I think for seven ornine years.
So I've been served, We've beenworking.
We do everything from like theHilton Hotel Resort we're
currently finishing up in Naplesat the Great Wolf Water Lodge,
which we're all starting to seecommercials for now.
We were out there for the lasteight months.

(03:02):
We do anything from industrialto simple basic.
You know, paint a couple ofrooms inside of a house.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
So, james, when you're not busy running your
business, what do you like to dofor fun?

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I like to, I like to, I like to ride my Harley and I
like to fish.
I bring meetings into the localinstitutions to hopefully plant
some seeds of hope toindividuals where they have no
hope.
And I've worked the suicidehotline occasionally, Um, you

(03:41):
know, because I just feel likeyou know, if somebody could just
hang on for that one minute, the light will shine.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Let's change gears a little bit.
Let's talk about some um onehardship, uh, life challenge,
something that you've been doing.
You can look back to the answer.
You're better and strongerbecause of it.
What comes to mind?

Speaker 3 (04:03):
I've had to deal with uh suicide in my family.
I've had uh, two twin sistersand a brother commit suicide.
And what it made it do, what itmade for what it made me do was
realize that the world doesn'treally revolve around me and, uh
, I went through a period ofgreat depression, didn't know

(04:27):
what depression was about, and Ifinally you know, believe it or
not I just reached out for somelocal help, free local help,
and I found out what depressionwas all about.
I had it.
I didn't have to take any medsor anything like that.
I just got to the root of thecause and in return, by helping
other people, it helped me.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, I had some family members that go through
things as well and it seems alot of it is pressure,
unnecessary pressure we put onourselves in terms of
expectations.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Absolutely.
And then not only that.
You know social media can bereally crazy, especially for the
young kids, and with thesubstances that are out there
right now, it's not like whenyou and I were kids.
You know not many people weredying from marijuana.
You know, today you don't evenknow you could be taking an
aspirin and the next thing youknow it's still with fentanyl in
your debt.

(05:24):
It's just, it's crazy thethings that are going on today.
And you know, it seems like theyounger generation feels like
they're lost and I try to bringhope to them and let them know
they're not lost.
And you know, hope is justright around the corner.
You just need that mustard seedof hope.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
That's it, James.
I want to put you on the spot alittle bit, if that's okay.
Sure, that's not a problem.
I know there's a lot you wantto say about your company, but I
want you to narrow it down toone thing, one thing that you
want our listeners to rememberabout anythingrenovationscom.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
First of all, we're a father-son team.
I was, I was a single dad.
I raised them by myself.
So what you, what you get fromus, is quality over quantity,
professionalism, and not onlythat.
You'll be able to brag aboutthe good work we have for fair
prices.
We do really good work forpeople.

(06:26):
We work with people withintheir budget constraints and we
try to achieve their dreams andgoals for their budget.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
My listeners now are looking around their house and
thinking about all the thingsthat they need done, and they
have one question that lips, andthat's how?
How can they get moreinformation on anything?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
renovationscom well, they can visit my uh my website
