Well, hello everyone
and welcome to the Good Neighbor

So today I am super excited tohave a very special guest with
us in the studio, and I'm sureyou'll be just as excited
because today I have thepleasure of introducing your
good neighbor, Miss BurgundyWhite, who is the owner operator
of Bridal Party Packet.
Yes, Burgundy welcome to theshow.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for having meand hello everyone.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Well, we are thrilled
to have you.
Like I said, I thinkeverybody's going to be just as
excited as I am to learn allabout you and Bridal Party
Packet.
So if you don't mind, why don'tyou kick us off by telling us
what you do?
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Well, hello everyone
Again.
My name is Brittany White, I amthe proud owner and founder of
Bridal Party Packet and we arean ultimate wedding party
package.
So we do all things day ofcoordinating and we dabble into
helping you out with your day ofcoordinating when it comes to
decorating.
So we are all about being yoursecond brain on your wedding day
(01:10):
.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Being your second
brain, which I think on your
wedding day.
You need a second brain.
You do.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
You don't want to be
stressed out.
It can be very, very stressfulon your wedding day and you
don't have to think aboutanything.
So that's why you come to usand we make sure, from the time
that we start all of yourcoordinating whether it's two
months in advance, a month inadvance we make sure that we are
there on the day of and weliterally know you like the back
of our hand.
Or if you're just like ourchild, I'll call all of my
(01:38):
brides and grooms they're mybabies.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
That's funny.
That's funny.
Well, Burgundy, how did you getinto this business?
Speaker 3 (01:46):
So it's actually kind
of a sad but funny story.
I got into this industrybecause my husband and I got
married in 2022.
And unfortunately, ourcoordinator was not what it was
all meant out to be and waspromised a lot of things, and
those things didn't happen andwe didn't let that deteriorate
us from having a fun and amazingtime with all of our friends
(02:07):
and family.
But it definitely showed methat this is the route that I
want to go into and go intothese endeavors and make sure
that no bride or groom ever hasto endure what we had to endure
on our wedding day.
So I vowed myself to that daythat everybody will always have
a phenomenal time on theirwedding day.
So that's how I got into thisindustry and ever since then
(02:28):
I've loved every single one ofmy brides and grooms and treated
them as if they are my own.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Your babies.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yes, they are.
They are my babies, and I knowI'm about to go.
I'm on maternity leave and it'sbeen so hard.
Thank goodness I have aphenomenal team backing behind
me, but it's so hard to give itaway because you work so
tirelessly and so much time andputting all that effort into
creating their special day, andthen you don't get to be there.
So I've been like texting themand seeing how are they feeling,
(02:57):
how are they doing so.
I'm so part of it just to beable to give them that support
that they need on their weddingday.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Very good, very good.
Well, what are some myths ormisconceptions in the wedding
planning party packet business?
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah.
So being a coordinator, a lotof people feel like you may not
need one and some people feellike it can be that there's too
much of a coordinator and youare not allowed to make that
your own day.
So on the one end, again, a lotof people feel like they don't
need a coordinator.
And, honestly, if you want tohave a coordinator, sure.
If you don't, it is up to youbecause at the end of the day
it's your wedding.
So if you feel that you cancoordinate all of the back and
(03:39):
forth with the vendors or thetimeline and giving that
opportunity and that perspectiveto someone on that day, that is
totally fine.
But on the opposite end, a lotof people get scared because
they feel that a coordinator maynot be beneficial or helpful,
because they may take over theirwedding day.
I've heard a lot out there wherethey're like well, they didn't
allow my sister during theirwedding to do X, y and Z and I'm
(04:02):
like, at the end of the day, you're hiring me to be your
second brain, you're hiring meto coordinate your special day.
It's not my special day.
Me and my husband we didn'talready have that Been there,
done that, so we're here to helpyou.
So those are some miscontribute.
You know things that could gowrong during wedding planning
(04:22):
and it goes from weddingplanning to coordinating to
month of and it just depends onwhat you prefer.
So I always say weigh out youroptions.
Do you want a full planner, doyou want a coordinator?
Do you want a month up or doyou want to do it yourself?
It is all based on what yourstress level is like based on
(04:45):
what your stress level is like.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Very cool.
Well, burgundy, who are yourtarget customers?
Obviously people that aregetting married, but is there a
certain demographic?
Or?
And how do you, how do youreach those folks?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
So we actually don't
have a certain demographic.
We love everybody and make themfeel welcome, whether they are
out of towners from the state ofFlorida.
We've worked with people fromFlorida, North Carolina.
We, of course, are in the EastTennessee area, located in the
Clinton Knoxville area.
However, we travel within ourpackages up to two hours prior
to you having a travel fee.
With that being said, we allowyou to come from wherever you
(05:20):
want to.
If you want to hire us and youwant to pay for that travel fee,
because you see all of ourreviews, which are all on the
not, you can head over to thenot see what our you know our
brides are all about.
Go on our social media sites, ask them.
We want you to be able to hearwhat they have to say.
But, all in all our demographicareas, areas if you're getting
married, we are here for youawesome, awesome to know.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
So outside of work,
burgundy, what do you like to do
for fun?
Speaker 3 (05:48):
outside of work.
I truly enjoy being in thepageant industry.
I have my own business in thepageant industry, which is in
the media um aspect ofeverything.
We just recently moved over toproduction, so I emcee a lot.
I was formerly a coach and justrecently gave that up because I
am expecting our first child.
So I decided to take a littlebit of a step back, but I'm
still very heavily involved tohelp my mother with her
(06:10):
organization, miss Universe Almspageant organization.
So I am all things pageantry.
And when I'm not in pageantryI'm golfing with my husband on
the weekend, or when he'sgetting off of work, or we are
going off to pickleball.
So those are some things that Itruly enjoy.
But now that we're going to behaving a new little one here in
July, I think we'll be doing alot more mommy and daddy time.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Well, congratulations
, by the way.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
I just got back from
visiting my first grandchild.
Who's?
In thank you he was bornactually in December and so he's
about six months now, but livesin, as our son lives in
Washington DC, so that waspretty cool to get to go see
them and yeah, yeah, they werebig pickleball people too, and
now, yeah, yeah, they're havingto take a break for a little
(07:01):
while.
I understand that Absolutely,but it'll come back.
It'll come back.
Yeah Well, let's switch gearsfor a second.
Uh, burgundy, can you describea hardship or a life challenge
that you've overcome, eitherprofessionally or personally,
and how it made you strongercoming out the other side?
Speaker 3 (07:18):
I actually have two
stories that recently happened,
one in 2023 and one in 2024.
So I'll fast back.
I will rewind back to 2023 andit is on a personal level, but
also it is on a professionallevel.
You know, I just started mywedding business in 2022 and in
2023, unfortunately, I lost mygrandfather and that was the
(07:38):
first person that I truly lost.
That was super close to me.
I was very close to mygrandfather and my papa when he
passed.
He passed on a Thursday and Ihad a wedding that was on a
Saturday.
They had rehearsals and thatwas really hard because I at the
time, I didn't have anyone tocall upon to take over
(07:59):
coordinating his.
Again, they're my babies and Ihad to learn that leave it in
God's hand.
Leave it in God's hand, butalso take guidance from your
family as well.
And so, after having deep talkwith my family, but also
trusting my bride and groom alot of people don't hear that in
the wedding industry, but notonly them leaning on you, you
(08:22):
lean on them.
So if something tragic happensand tragedy strikes, lean on
your bride and groom and askthem those questions that will
benefit them in the long run aswell.
And through that first tragedy Ilearned oh goodness, okay, I
have to do a rehearsal on Friday.
My grandfather just passed awaytoday, which was a Thursday.
(08:43):
What do I do?
So I contacted my bride andgroom and told them what was
going on and ultimately theysaid you don't have to come to
rehearsals.
I said, well, if you can takecare of rehearsals, I can take
care of your wedding day.
And we came to that agreementand they were so sweet and just
honorable of making sure that Iwas okay that they told their
(09:04):
whole entire wedding what hadhappened.
And through that struggle Ilearned that things happen and
you just have to persevere andyou have to find a common ground
, not only with your client, butwith who you are as an
individual, and put your faithin God because he's going to
lead you in the right direction.
There's a reason why I'm intothis industry and you know,
(09:25):
moving forward into the 2024season, unfortunately, around
May of last year I did have amiscarriage with my husband.
We had a miscarriage and it wasvery sad, it was very hard and
unfortunately that happened on aWednesday and, of course, on a
Saturday.
I had a wedding and again itwent back.
(09:45):
I feel like if I wouldn't havehad the 2023 tragedy that
happened, because a miscarriageis a death if I would have not
had that portion happen in 2023,I feel God set me up and told
me this is what you need to do.
I talked to my bride, I talkedto my family members and they
were ultimately able to help meout during that wedding weekend.
So, yes, I still went on Fridayand still worked.
(10:08):
Rehearsals went on Saturday andI still planned and had an
amazing wedding.
That happened, but ultimately, because of God and my family
coming out and helping myhusband helping as well, being
able to get me through that day,it honestly was amazing.
And you know, again, lifehappens, things happen, but in
(10:28):
this industry, a wedding isstill happening and you have to
figure out do you need to hiresomeone or you can have to just
stick it out and go through it?
Those are things you have tothink about and at that time and
moment, I was struck withtragedy on both occasions and I
had to rise to the occasionbecause I had two individuals
that were counting on me, butalso I had family that was
(10:50):
counting on me because we hadtragedy and just being
open-minded really helped me.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Give it to God.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Yeah, that's all they
say.
Give it to God.
He has a reason for us to be inthese different industries and
he has a path for us to go on.
And that's something that I waslike.
You put me here for a reasonand those weddings turned out
amazing, yeah there you go,there you go.
And now I've been able to healfrom my grandfather, I've been
(11:18):
able to heal from our child thatwe lost, and again we're having
another one.
So you know, there's a time anda place for everything.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Absolutely.
Couldn't agree more.
Well, burgundy, if you couldthink of one thing you would
like our listeners to rememberabout bright old party packet,
what would that be?
Speaker 3 (11:35):
that would be that we
are literally your second brain
on your wedding day.
I know I keep advocating forthat, but that is what we are
here for.
We want your wedding to be asspecial as possible.
So if that means that we haveto go outside your contract and
start messaging you just acouple of days earlier, we will
do that.
If that means that instead ofhaving one meeting that is
within your contract time, wewill have as many meetings as we
(11:58):
feel that you need, or if youneed to feel comfortable, we
will make sure that it happens.
So again, our main goal is tobe your second brain on your
wedding day with Bridal PartyPacket.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Very good.
And if we have anybody that'sjust got proposed to or they're
planning to get married or justthinking about it, how can they
learn more?
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Yes, the way that
they can learn more is they can

wwwbridalpartypacketsquaresite,or you can head over to our
social media sites.

then put in Bridal Party Packet, you'll be able to see all of
the ratings You'll be able tosee.

We customize it to fit yourneeds.

all right.
