Living in New York City is attainable, but not without many learnings along the way. In this week’s episode I sat down with Brittney Scardina, a new local to the city, who although did some extensive research before her move to NYC - she never saw the Ikea couch situation coming her way that would become one of her first #onlyinnewyork moments (like an episode of FRIENDS), and a pretty hilarious one yet, although not so funny when you’re actually living it.
Brittney was an absolute joy to speak with, she brought a different perspective and approach to her move to New York City and she’ll share her tips in our interview. You can expect everything from:
- Why having a real estate agent/broker was pivotal to her move
- How research and visiting the city ahead of her move was so impactful for a smoother transition
- How coming with an open mind and a side of grit is a recipe for success in the city
And, why she choose the neighborhood she moved to plus so much more! You won’t believe how lucky she got in getting her apartment in the height of the summer in 2022 when rent prices were soaring and the housing stock was limited post pandemic and everyone returning to the city.
