Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the
Grand Slam Journey podcast, where we discuss various topics
related to the lessons we havelearned from our sports and how
we're applying them to grow ourskills and leadership in the
next chapter of our lives.
For me personally, areas ofbusiness and technology.
I'm tuning in to give you someupdates and announcements on my

(00:23):
podcasting journey.
It has been a busy one and ahalf years of podcasting with a
goal of releasing one episode aweek.
I haven't fully achieved thegoal, but I'm pretty close with
about 90% compliance.
When I set this goal, Irealized that consistency, like

(00:44):
in sports, is key to success, and so I needed to put some
constraint on myself to figureout how to shorten my production
time and simplify the processto be able to release content to
you on a more regular basis.
I have to say I achieved itwith some success, and I'm still

(01:07):
far away from where I wouldlike it to be.
The fun thing about podcastingprobably same like with any
other thing you decide to putyour mind and energy into is
that the more you learn and themore you know, the more
opportunities and things youuncover that you can do better
to grow your show and createmore impact.

(01:30):
I've recently started a YouTubeGrand Slam Journey channel.
One of the big goals for me isto try to get my podcast into a
video form, which has beensomething I've been really
afraid of.
I can't really explain the fearbehind it, but nonetheless it
was there.
I figured out how to move overit and I started recording my

(01:54):
conversations in video andstreaming them on YouTube.
The channel has growndrastically since I set it up
and started posting content on aregular basis, and there is so
much more to achieve.
Youtube is a whole nother worldthat I'm uncovering takes
podcasting and learning to awhole new extent.

(02:16):
I'm grateful for all of youtuning into this show and
following me on YouTube and staytuned.
There is more to come.
If you're someone who'sfollowing me on LinkedIn, you
may have noticed that I haveaccepted a new role, which I'm
super enthusiastic about.
I love change and starting anew career journey, because new

(02:38):
beginnings typically come withsteep learning curves.
I love seeing the progress thatI'm able to make from day zero
to day 60.
And then, every three to sixmonths, I'm able to gain more
effectiveness and efficiency, understanding what my role
entails, and with that comesability to create bigger impact

(02:59):
for the company I work for and, obviously, the partners I work
with.
Yet the one thing about newbeginnings is that they are a
bit more time consuming andrequire more focus and attention
.
For that reason, I'll be takinga little time off from my
podcasting.
I'm not sure exactly how longit will be, guessing somewhere

(03:23):
between two to four weeks.
I'm gonna use this time toreflect on the journey and try
to figure out how I can continuethis project going forward with
less time requirements, streamline the process and
condense the time frame that itrequires to get my episodes out

(03:44):
into the world.
You're listening to this becauselikely you're someone who
listens to my podcast regularly.
For that I'm grateful and ifyou're open to it, I want to
invite you to please sharefeedback with me.
You can do that in severaldifferent ways.
One you can leave feedbackdirectly on the Apple Podcast or

(04:06):
Spotify apps or my YouTubeGrand Slam Journey channel.
Send me an email at clara atgrand slam journeycom, or use my
website feedback link.
I'll add it for simplicity intothis episode notes.
Please know that your feedbackis really important for me.

(04:26):
I read every single email andmessage that is posted and I
believe reading your feedbackwould be very helpful for me as
I think about how to transitionthis podcast into the next
chapter, continue producing itwhile building the next chapter
of my career at Accenture.

(04:46):
If you're unsure what to share, here's a question that may help
with framing.
If this podcast was gone andyou could never listen to it,
what are the one, two, threethings you would miss the most
If you never had a chance tolisten to this podcast again?
Would you miss it, and what arethe one, two, three things you

(05:09):
would miss the most?
Last but not least, before Itake a break, I have one more
episode that will be going liveon May 26.
In fact, this episode isalready live on my YouTube Grand
Slam Journey channel.
It is my conversation with DreBaldwin.
If you want to tune into it now, you can watch it on YouTube.

(05:30):

someone who enjoys listening toit in Apple Podcasts or Spotify
, it will be available on May26th.
It is a super fun conversationand I hope you'll enjoy it as
much as I did.
Thanks again for tuning in andsharing this podcast with anyone

(05:51):

I have recently found out thatthis podcast achieved top 1.5%
placement in the world acrossmore than 3.2 million shows, and
that would not be possiblewithout you, and so thanks again
for your support.
I really appreciate it, andplease reach out with any

(06:12):
comments or feedback you mayhave Positive, negative, neutral
.
