This week on the show Maine and Miranda recap the 2025 AIGA championship event from last week.
This week on the show we discuss the 2025 AIGA championships that took place last weekend we talk about potentially one of the least publicized major event events to happen in the year and why it is absolutely worth your time to go rewatch on YouTube.
We break down both day one and day two of the 17 hour event that featured 55 matches of some of the highest level submission grappling the sport has to offer. We talked about all of the big names at the event and all of their matches we discussed some of the more notable results and some of the most interesting techniques that we saw from the two days of grappling.
We also discussed some of the trends for some of the athletes that we are consistently seeing across their game in high-level events over the last few years.
We discussed some of the biggest upsets, and some of the biggest perceived upsets that may not have actually been as shocking as people might have expected.
In the outro section of the show, we discussed the previews for the coming weeks events.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage
Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
