10-6-25 - Dave Slifer - MIAA Basketball Media Day. Slifer, the head coach of UCM women's basketball since 2004, was MWSU's WBB coach from 1995-2004. Two of his teams will be enshrined into the MWSU Athletics Hall of Fame in October 2025. One of his former players, Olivia Nelson, is now on the MWSU staff with Luke Scheidecker.

Rhesa Sumrell was MoWest's first head volleyball and head women's basketball coach, as well as the second head softball coach in school history. She's still the all-time winningest coach in Griffon Volleyball history with a record of 494-167 and four CSIC championships. Bob Heimbaugh passed for 2434 yards in the 1975 season for Griffon football, helping MoWest to an 8-3-1 record and Mineral Water Bowl championship. Heimbaugh was inducted into the MWSU Hall of Fame in 1990.
Keith Evans was a starting outside linebacker for the 1975 MWSU football team that went 8-3-1 and won the Mineral Water Bowl. Evans was named the Defensive MVP of that Mineral Water Bowl and is a 2003 MWSU Hall of Fame inductee.
