You may be thinking "what makes Kurt Avery have a heart of gold?" You'll have to listen to this conversation, because it's hard to put into words how quietly wonderful Kurt is. And if you're not wondering that, then let's get to the quiet part-
Kurt is the CEO of Sawyer Products, and if you do any outdoor activities, you're familiar with the brand; they make water filters for your water bottles, sunscreen and first aid products for hiking and camping. They are THE name for the most effective products. But did you know that Kurt and Sawyer Products has provided water filters for the military stationed abroad? And that they are donating THOUSANDS of water filters to countries that have had high illness rates due to lack of clean water, and to places that have experienced natural disasters?
Kurt also wrote a book called Sawyer Think; How A Small Company Disrupts Markets and Changes the World, and I haven't read it yet, but I feel pretty confident that it will only confirm what I've heard from him about his charity work.
I've never really been a camper or hiker, but I'll definitely be sure to support Kurt and Sawyer Products any way I can. I hope you enjoy this conversation!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
