This episode, titled Get Over It, explores how we can reconcile spirituality and intimacy—two aspects of life that are often seen as incompatible but are, in reality, deeply connected.

Anthony reflects on his own journey, having been a religion major in college and immersing himself in Christian theology. Sex God by Rob Bell, a book that challenged traditional Christian perspectives on sexuality and spirituality sparked a deeper exploration into why these two aspects of life have been so divided, particularly in religious traditions where spirituality was emphasized while sexuality was shrouded in shame. He discusses how ancient traditions often viewed sex as a gateway to transcendence and connection with the divine, a perspective that has largely been lost in modern religious teachings.

He shares personal experiences of how sex education in religious settings was minimal at best and shame-driven at worst. But, through intentional means, he was able to find something more than just a new way of looking at sex... he found a way to combine the two into so something so divine, it can hardly be described. Experience is the best teacher here, as is often the case.
