In this raw, reflective, and soul-led solo episode, host Dr Nat Green shares a life update as she prepares for a long-awaited healing journey through Europe.

Following the powerful response to Episode 63 (on gaslighting, trauma, and systemic harm), this week is a heartfelt thank-you to you — her listeners — and an honest look at what comes next when we choose post-traumatic growth over perfection.

🧳 This episode is an invitation into the real-time, messy, sacred process of healing. It's about:

 — Letting go of the systems and stories that kept her small
 — Choosing joy, presence and awe — not in spite of trauma, but because of it
 — Embracing the Liberated Voyager archetype
— Walking the walk of nervous system healing and embodiment
— Reconnecting with purpose through family, travel, and truth

Whether you’re in your own chapter of burnout or trauma recovery, grief, identity shift, or reinvention — this episode will resonate deeply.

What You'll Hear:

  • A raw check-in before departure for Europe
  • Reflections on being witnessed in your truth
  • The role of beauty, space, and travel in trauma integration
  • Choosing purpose, joy, and embodiment as acts of defiance and devotion
  • Why this trip is not a holiday — but a healing ritual

💬 “This journey isn’t about pretending I’m okay. It’s about integration. About letting the sun hit places that have stayed in the dark for too long.”

In order to thrive.
Thank you so much for joining meon today's episode.

(01:29):
Hello, beautiful humans andwelcome back to this week's
episode of Growing Tall Poppies.
Today's episode is gonna be alittle shorter, a little more
personal, and a whole lot of mespeaking from the heart.
If you've been listening.

(01:51):
For the past few weeks, especially episode 63, where I
shared some of my personal storyand the experience of being
gaslit and silenced withinsystems that are meant to
protect us, then I wanna startby saying this.

(02:12):
Thank you.
Thank you.
From the bottom of my heart, themessages, the dms, the comments.
The support has beenunbelievable.
I'm so, so grateful to each andevery one of you.
I've read every single message, and I can't express how much it

(02:34):
has meant to me to feel held, seen, and supported by this
community.
I'm so, so grateful, and yourwords have reminded me of
something really, reallyimportant that we heal.
Not just by telling the truth, but by being witnessed in it.

(02:57):
And that's exactly what I feelhas happened.
So now I wanna talk about thenext step in my healing journey.
This isn't just a podcast.
It's absolutely part of mypurpose.
In fact, a huge part of mypurpose, you guys are why I do

(03:21):
what I do.
Every episode is around sharingstories of other people like me,
like you, who have been throughall sorts of awful, dreadful
things, trauma and adversity.
Each and every one of my guestshas worked through what has

(03:47):
happened to them, really grownas a result of their lessons and
their learnings, and sees thegift in trauma and has peeled
back those layers to get to aplace of being able to give back
and share their purpose in theworld.
And that just makes me so, sohappy.

(04:10):
And what I've realized over thepast few weeks is that if I'm
going to keep showing up in thisspace, if I'm going to continue
to talk about post-traumaticgrowth and help others just like
you move through theirstuckness, then I also need to

(04:30):
really keep digging deep anddoing my own work.
That's a non-negotiable.
We are always, as you will haveheard me bang on about over and
over again.
We are always a work inprogress.
We never get to the end of thejourney.
We continue to move throughthings, to process things and to

(04:51):
evolve and grow.
So that's what I'm going to bedoing in just a few days, and
I'm super excited on Monday.
I'm heading off for a month inEurope.
It's something I've dreamedabout for so, so long.

(05:12):
It's something that felt like apipe dream last year while I was
stuck in systems that weremaking me even more unwell.
Now I feel like I've broken freefrom those systems by letting go
of the baggage and theheartbreak that they were

(05:32):
causing me to step fully intothe newer, better, I think,
version of me.
But this isn't just a holiday.
While it's about having specialtime with my family, the people
that matter the most in my life.
It's also about so much morethan that.

(05:57):
This is about doing somethingspecial for them, the people
that have stuck by me throughall of this and really learning
to live in the moment, whichI've not been great at doing,
and about really peeling backmore layers of my nervous

(06:18):
system.
This trip to Europe is what I'mchoosing to see as a shedding.
A releasing a chance to grievewhat's been and create space for
what's next, like a transition.

(06:39):
This trip isn't about pretendingthat everything is okay or
running from what still hurts.
It's about integration.
It's about letting the sun hitplaces that have stayed in the
dark for way too long.
It's about letting joy in.
It's about watching sunsets andcreating moments of awe and

(07:05):
really connecting at such a deeplevel psychologically,
emotionally, physically, andspiritually.
I am so excited about beinggiven the opportunity to do
this.
So it's about letting joy in,not in spite of what I've been

(07:27):
through, but because of it.
This is me walking the walk andtalking the talk.
Living what I teach.
Choosing growth, not perfection.
I let go of perfection a longtime ago.
It's about wholeness, notperformance, freedom, not fear.

(07:56):
And what I wanna do is I wannainvite you, all of you to come
with me.
I wanna bring you along.
If you're not already followingme on Instagram or Facebook,
then come join me.
I'll be sharing this next leg ofmy healing journey.

(08:19):
The raw, the real, thereflective, not as an influencer
or expert, but as a fellow humanbeing.
Being deep in the beautiful, messy middle of becoming.
Becoming who I believe I wasalways meant to be.

(08:39):
Destined to be.
And yes.
Who I am now is not who I usedto be before my trauma and
before the burnout and beforethe gaslighting in the systems.
It's about the new me andembracing and embodying who I
truly am.

(09:00):
You'll find me at Dr.
Nat Green on Instagram or at Dr.
Natalie Green on Facebook.
I'll drop the link in the shownotes.
I'd love for you to join me andlet's peel back these next
layers together to every singleone of you who has sent love,

(09:23):
who's been inspired, who satwith discomfort and recognized
your own story in mine.
Thank you.
Thank you.
From the bottom of my heart, this podcast is what it is
because of you, and I want youto remember.
That no matter how tough somedays seem, every day is a new

(09:49):
day and we get to choose howwe're gonna show up and what
we're gonna take on.
From our environment, fromothers, and the messages we get
as a result of our experiences.
Post-traumatic growth isn'tabout becoming someone else.

(10:09):
It's about becoming more of whoyou truly are.
More free, more embodied, andmore alive.
I'm so ready to lean into that, and I hope you are too.
So stay close on socials.
I'm really excited as I reallystart to explore and discover

(10:35):
who on earth I'm going to findwhen I travel.
I know that I'm really gonna bedigging deep into the
archetypes, and I have notreally embraced that liberated
Voyager.
And I'm really excited that theliberated Voyager within me is

(10:59):
gonna be journeying to Europeand discovering so much I'm
gonna be enjoying the beauty ofParis of Switzerland.
I can't wait.
We've got a beautiful unitlooking out over the lake and
the mountains, so I'm reallyexcited to share those.

(11:23):
Beautiful pictures andlandscapes with you, but I'm
also prepared for whateveremotional stuff comes through
and what layers peel away as Ireally fully embody and embrace
who I'm becoming because youhave all allowed me to express

(11:44):
myself.
You've showed up, you'velistened, and have sent such
beautiful messages.
So I'll see you again soon onthe other side of the world with
new stories, new insights, and awhole lot more truth.
Because we're not here to playsmall, we're here to grow tall
and shine brightly, like thetall poppies that each and every
