STORY 1:     Zoinks! — Scooby Doo Exhibit Set To Open At Children's Museum of Atlanta 

The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is hosting the “SCOOBY-DOO!™ Mansion Mayhem” exhibit from May 17 to September 7. Families can join Scooby-Doo and the gang to solve a mystery in a spooky mansion, exploring interactive rooms like the Hall of Portraits, Villain’s Workshop, and library music room. Created by the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Warner Bros., the exhibit combines nostalgia for adults with fun, hands-on activities for kids. Executive Director Edwin Link calls it the perfect summer activity, blending entertainment and curiosity for all ages. Don’t miss this chance to unmask the jewel thief with Mystery Inc.! 

STORY 2: 4.1 magnitude earthquake in Tennessee felt in Gwinnett County 

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck near the Tennessee-North Carolina border on Saturday at 9:04 a.m., with tremors felt in Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta, and western North Carolina. Centered 12 miles southeast of Greenback, Tennessee, near Nantahala National Forest, the quake caused houses to shake and windows to rattle, sparking social media buzz. Eastern Tennessee is one of the Southeast's most active earthquake zones, according to the USGS. 

 

STORY 3: Duluth's Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church Celebrating 40th Anniversary With Free Concert 

Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church in Duluth is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a free outdoor concert on Saturday, May 17, at 7 p.m. The event, featuring PHPC’s Chancel Choir and guest musicians, will showcase audience favorites from past performances under the theme “The Best of Cabaret and Chastain at PHPC Over the Years.” Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and picnics, with light refreshments provided. While admission is free, donations to support the choir fund are welcome. The church is located at 3700 Pleasant Hill Road, and all are invited to enjoy an evening of music and community.
