Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome to the Hanging with Humans podcast,
season three.
It's me, rj, and I'm here to dosome announcements before I
drop the new episode of seasonthree, which we're now going to
be entering.
First, I just wanted to thankeverybody who's been listening

(00:28):
thus far.
Um, I really appreciate every, every single one of you.
Even if you're listening fornot the right reasons, I still
appreciate you.
Um, yeah, so I'm going to dosome announcements for the
upcoming season.
Uh, I'm gonna read a poem.

(00:51):
I know I'm just kidding.
Yeah, I'm gonna read a poem.
Uh, and then I'm gonna go intoI.
I had a conversation that Irecorded with a fella.
His name is Eckbert and Ibelieve he's in Pakistan, if I'm
not.
I'm not mistaken.
Uh, the story between me andEckbert is, uh, I had been like

(01:14):
on the trying to trying to getthe best possible deal on plane
tickets, cause I got a lot oftraveling ahead of me this year
and in the future we're gonna betraveling a lot for the rest of
our lives.
Um, yeah, so I end up comingacross this website, um, and I
get linked up with this dude and, uh, that guy went above and

(01:39):
beyond and to to help me getlike these crazy deals on my
tickets.
And now we're like this, nowwe're homies, and I was having
like a weird day that day.
You know, I spend a lot of timemostly by myself and it was

(02:00):
just one of those days where Iwas in my thoughts and, you know
, I had a lot going on that dayand I had a lot of things on my
to-do list and one of them wasget tickets.
So I end up calling up Eckbertbecause he told me hey, whenever
you need tickets, hit me up.
So we start talking and I endup on the phone for like an hour
and a half with this dude andit was crazy.

(02:23):
It was like he was justspeaking my language.
You're like everything you know, the podcast came up and about
traveling and this, and then hecomes, you know, he's telling me
about what he's wanting to dowith his future and stuff and
his plans, and I don't know, hejust he just got it.
And then he just got me in thatmoment and uh, you know,

(02:46):
reflecting back on that now, that's why I'm talking about it
and that's why I'm gonna show it.
But uh, I wish I recorded thewhole conversation, but it was
so profound that I ended up justpressing record at some point
and I got like five minutes ofit and you can't really tell
what the whole conversation isabout, but I caught like a
glimpse of it and and, uh, it'sjust crazy, you never know where
you're going to find, uh, somejoy or some peace or or or some

(03:11):
sort of feeling and emotion andwhere it could come from.
Uh, and mine was like 10 30 AMin the middle of the day and I
wasn't really feeling that day.
That day and, um, yeah, it was,I don don't know.
It was just a moment that Icaptured that I'm going to share
with other people that, likeyou never know who is there for
you, or or, uh, who's going towalk in your path, or you know,

(03:38):
it's like there's a purpose foreveryone, or everything in this
world, in your life, and uh,yeah, I don't't know.
So, yeah, I'm going to share alittle bit of me and Eckbert's
conversation after I do all this.
So, yeah, I want to say shoutsout to Eckbert.
I told you I was going to, Ihad a surprise for you and

(04:02):
whatnot.
I just wanted to show you atoken of my appreciation for you
being my ticket man and hookingme up with the tickets.
I'm glad, I mean, with all mytraveling, I hope I get to meet
up with you somewhere and do apodcast because we're tight like
that.
So, yeah, shouts out to Ekbert,I appreciate you, uh, for being

(04:24):
kind 24 7 and uh, for saying alot of things to me that, like I
didn't even know I needed tohear, you know from someone
hella far away, never seen me,never met me, and uh, yeah, it
was just, it was just yeah.
So, yeah, thank you, ekbert.
Um, I'm gonna go into seasonthree announcements now.

(04:48):
Uh, be dropping episode 22 rightafter this with my boy,
christopher.
Um, it was damn, that wasanother conversation that I
really needed to have and didn'tknow I needed to have.
And uh, all the expectationswere there and beyond.
Um, maybe just because there'sso many similarities and uh,

(05:13):
yeah, so I'm excited foreverybody to check out the new
episode.
Chris Langer uh, it's a banger,I believe.
Yeah, just talks a lot aboutlife and things we go through
and whatnot.
Um, so yeah, shouts out toChris and Sam, his lady, they're

(05:34):
off getting tattooed andwhatnot right now.
Um, and yeah, so that's goingto be a sick episode.
Check that out.
There's a lot to it.
All right, I want to start offwith doing some shout outs and

(05:56):
announcements.
The first one is going to be Iwant to shout out my boy, dustin
Meyer, is going to be.
I want to shout out my boy, dustin Meyer.
Dustin is, uh damn, he's a realman's man.
He's taught me a lot prettymuch almost everything I know
when it comes to videography andediting and production and um.

(06:18):
And then on top of that, justlike what it, what it, what it
looks like to try and balancelife, but also chasing your
dreams, but not letting up inany of those categories.
You know like he's grinding onhis goals on his job, on his
side jobs, but he never forgetsto be one of the most there for

(06:39):
their kids' dads I've ever seen.
He's always involved with them24-7 with their rodeo stuff,
sports, always taking them out, hunting, just spending time with
them.
And yeah, I've always watchedthat take place from afar and
kind of mentally took notes like, yeah, you can balance it all

(07:02):
out.
It's not easy, but you you knowyou put your energy into the
right places, it won't burn you.
But if you put your energy inthe wrong places or people then
it can fuck you up for sure.
Um, so yeah, shouts out toDustin his beautiful wife, anna
Maria, and, uh, his, uh,wonderful kids.

(07:23):
Um, I learned a lot from you,dustin.
I want to say I appreciate youand your family very much.
If you want to check out somestuff he does, he's on Instagram
.
46 Degrees North is one of hiscompanies, cortex Collective,
and he has a new venture in thereal estate field.

(07:45):
Uh, I think he's going to crushthat, like everything else.
So, yeah, thank you, dustin, for everything you do.
Um, we still got to do apodcast eventually but, uh, you
know, a lot of this wouldn'thave been possible if it wasn't
for Dustin.
You know, believing in me, uh,when a lot of people didn't, and

(08:08):
this camera that I use, thatbeautiful Sony over there, he
got that to me when I firststarted doing this and let me
pay him little by little to dothat and I'd go borrow it, bring
it back to him and just a, justa beautiful learning process.

(08:30):
Yeah, I learned so much fromyou, dustin.
Thank you All right, gavin andAmber.
When I first moved down here itwas difficult finding the right
place I guess job situation butDavin, he gave me a chance with

(08:58):
his construction company and youknow, come to find out.
We have a lot of similaritiesand you know, watching him, what
he's been able to accomplishwith his company.
You know, coming out of prisonand just starting from scratch,
and what he's been able to build, you know, and the way he's
built his home and his wholebusiness.

(09:18):
He's got so much going on.
It's amazing.
And the guy works harder thananybody.
I know amazing and a guy worksharder than anybody I.
I know and uh, you know smallthings that I remember.
You know he, he gave me a bonus, you know, just because I was
busting my ass really hard anduh, when you don't expect things
like that and and you don'treally have anything at the

(09:40):
moment, uh, at that moment, youknow, it meant everything to me
and it and it helped, helpedpush me forward when I didn't
want to continue to go forwardand I kind of was feeling
stagnant and wanted to give upbecause I had a lot of other
things going on, personal things.
So, yeah, Davin was there forme, amber, his wonderful wifevin

(10:04):
, was there for me.
Amber, his wonderful wife wasthere for me.
Even his kids they were.
They were hanging out with withwith me when I needed people.
So, uh, yeah, and Amber has,you know, night and day.
From when I first got here toto now, she's up in the gym
every morning working on herfitness.
Uh and uh, yeah, I'm proud ofyou, amber, you're killing it.

(10:27):
I'm proud of both of you.
You guys have been there for methis whole time and are like
legit dope neighbors that youknow if you need something,
they'll lend it to you, lend youa hand, and yeah, so I'm very
grateful to have met them andbeing friends with them going

(10:47):
forward.
So, yeah, thank you, guys.
And we got a lot of big thingscooking with your business too.
He like remodels trailers, homes and everything for, like,

(11:07):
low income sort of situationsfor people, and he has a goal,
and I have a goal.
Chris Langer on the podcast ishelping people with needs.

(11:31):
You know, like using yourconstruction skills to build
something or repair something, any sort of like not I don't
know halfway house addictionfacility, something to help,

(11:52):
sort of, you know, guide yourlife back on track, help you get
off drugs, sort of thing.
You know they're wanting tobuild things like that for
people because their past andthen how they fought through it
and how they're doing now.
Um, yeah, they just want tohelp uh in the same way I do.
So, you know, I feel like wehave a little family here of uh,
just knowing what the struggleis like and knowing that you

(12:15):
never are going to go back to itor want to go back to it, uh,
but how important it is to helpothers out, because we know what
it's like to be at that lowpoint and how important it is
just to you know, have somebodyreach out or or or lend a hand,
um, how important that can befor somebody that that doesn't

(12:36):
have much.
So, shout out to those two guys, um, and their spouses thank
you for for being kind and beinggood people.
I appreciate y'all.
Um, all right, so we got that.
Um, I want to say shout out toyou know he's, he's like a

(12:59):
brother to me, uh, family, uh,matthew Ahern, aka Mattrick
Swayze, that's my boy.
Damn, we've been througheverything and then some forever
plus a thousand years.
Uh, I met this man I don't knowhow many years ago, when I

(13:22):
first got to North Dakotaworking, working together in the
oil fields, and man, it's,that's another guy that just
gets it, just gets me just hasbeen through a lot of things
that I've been through.
He's a.
He's just one of the most standup guys I've ever met.
You know, I've only met a fewpeople that can't really lie.

(13:47):
One of them is like my son, sono matter what, he'll just
snitch on me, but that's alright, I'd rather him be that, you
know, type that he can't lie.
And then Ahern is another one.
He's just one of the best dudesthat I know and I appreciate
him and everything him and hisfamily have done for me over the

(14:07):
years.
And, yeah, I hope one day, whenI make it, I can somehow repay
Matt for all the things he'sdone for me.
You know, uh, his dad, whopassed uh some years back, was

(14:28):
like low key, one of my bestbros, uh, polar opposite people,
but yeah, he just got it.
Uh, my best friend, jim that'swhat I was calling Uh, yeah, jim
tried to get me to sneak himbeers into the hospital.
That was legendary, that was sotight.
So RIP to Jim.

(14:50):
Um, and yeah, uh, thank you, matt for everything.
Um, I hope we have anotherwhatever 10-15 years of
friendship ahead of us.
Uh, I got big plans and I know, you know that I want you to be
a part of those.
I can't think of anybody else.
I'd rather have you know therewith me overseeing things, or

(15:15):
whatever.
You're my ex-o.
But yeah, so yeah, thank you, matt, and and and to the whole
Ahern family, send my best.
All right, we're moving alonghere, tegan and Stetler, my

(15:40):
babies.
Dad's on the right track anddad's gonna be there soon, close
, real soon, and I can't waitfor us to start our next chapter
of life and all the wonderfulthings that are gonna come along
with that.

(16:01):
Tegan, you're getting so big Ican hardly recognize you.
You're.
You're just a beautiful, intelligent young woman and, um,
it makes me, it makes me sad towatch you grow like that, but

(16:22):
but like a happy, sad, becauseyou're capable of so much.
You're going to do so many goodthings with that brain of yours
and your long legs are yours.
You're probably going to bekilling it in volleyball.
I'm very proud of you, stetler,you're a five-tool athlete.
I love you so much.
You're my twin and um, you'renot afraid of anything.

(16:47):
You're not afraid to tryanything.
You know, uh, we go to thisrodeo and uh, you see these kids
riding on the bull, riding thebull, and you know, the first
thing you did was say, hey, canI go ride that bull?
And I was like I, you know, Idon't know, let's see.
And we asked, and you knowMarcy goes and asked her brother

(17:10):
and they had to hey, he's gotto be, he's.
We got to say he's 12, but he's10, you know sort of deal, and
it was one of the proudest, mosthappiest moments of my life
that I didn't even never wouldthink would take place, or where
it took place or how I got tothat place.
But you know me and her, uh,sitting behind the chutes while

(17:35):
my son gets strapped in to goride his first bull.
Um, man, I can't wait to domore things like that with you
guys.
Uh, so I love you guys to themax.
I hope you know that I loveplaying video games with you.
Stetler, yeah, you guys are thebest.

(17:56):
Thank you for making me happyand keeping me going, because
I'm building something great.
You guys will be reaping thebenefits of that.
All right, I love you guys.
Be good.
Oh yeah, and Tegan's gotstraight.
A's, I'm so proud of you.

(18:16):
Um, freddie and Fisher man, those are my boys.
You know, even if you bumpheads, you know what it is when

(18:38):
you've been through shit thatyou guys, we've all been through
together.
You know I got love for youguys to the max Freddie and his
beautiful family, all yourwonderful daughters, wonderful
daughters, my nieces.
I love y'all.
Um, thank you for always beingso welcoming and, uh, just great
hosts and putting up with myshenanigans.
I appreciate you guys.
I love y'all and I'm sure I'llsee you guys soon, this year or

(19:02):
something.
Um, I'm sure I'll see you guyssoon this year or something.
Mark and the boys Damn Mark andthe boys Shit.
It's really hard to put intowords what these people mean to

(19:27):
me.
Yeah, so I want to say shoutout to mark boys, hoodie, huey,
caitlin, dianne, greg, big dog,uh, man, thank you so much for
your guys' hospitality andmaking me feel like I belong

(19:50):
somewhere or not having anywonders or doubts if I'm welcome
or if I'm out of place or if Ishouldn't be doing something or
anything like that.
One of the most beautifulfamilies, most kind, close

(20:15):
families I've ever been around.
And, yeah, you guys make mefeel at home so much and I
appreciate all that you guys dofor me and and and the
relationship that me and Markhave built from where we started
to like now, uh, and just likerolling the dice, cause you

(20:38):
never know in this world, uh,with friendships, relationships,
people, you know, somebodycould wake up one day and have a
completely different outlook onlife than they did the day
before and that can haverepercussions for other people
and and that's like too deep forwhat I'm trying to be talking

(20:59):
about.
But, um, yeah, mark, you're,you've, you've, you've pushed me
to a lot.
Yeah, mark, you've pushed metoo a lot, and I didn't know how
much I really needed to hear alot of the things that you told
me and I take everything thatyou teach me when it comes to

(21:20):
everything Cows, when it comesto everything you know, cows, uh
, but what like being a reallygood father looks like too, and
just a good man in general, justa good fucking standup man.
That you know, I don't know, you just get it and and and.

(21:41):
We all have differentupbringings and we all come from
different places and differentpaths, but you know, good is
good.
You feel that.
You know, don't matter whatcolor you are, you can just you
can feel the energy radiatingoff somebody that is genuine and

(22:01):
I've genuinely always felttruly welcome and yeah, so I
want to say thank you to Markand the whole family there for
looking out for me and giving mea place to.
You know, I don't know to justbe myself and and to learn

(22:27):
things and be around a lovingenvironment.
So, thank you guys.
So much, um, and my boys, uh, Ilove you, I love y'all.
Keep me going and make me happy.
Let's go with.

(22:54):
Shout outs to my mom and dad Idon't talk about and I choose to
refrain from talking about toomuch when it comes to my own
life, because I just feel likethere's separate worlds that not
always need to be combined.
You know, being out in thesocial media realm can be gnarly

(23:15):
sometimes.
So yeah, but just because Idon't talk about someone or
something doesn't mean I don'tcare about them.
You know what I mean and I havea great relationship with my

(23:38):
parents.
It was like one of the bestthings I did was kind of re, you
know, going back to Californiaand seeing my grandma and my mom
and my cousins, and I wish Icould have stayed longer.
I had a lot going on, but I'llbe out there here soon, um to
spend some time with you guys.

(23:59):
So yeah, um, so yeah, um.
Shouts out to my mom.
I love you.
Um, thanks for always listeningto all my podcasts and, you
know, giving me feedback on that.
And, uh, I'm glad you got tocome out here and visit and meet
Conway and check out theranches that I be on and meet

(24:25):
some people that are around me.
You didn't get to meet Mark andhis family, but next time for
sure we just I was tripping, Idon't know why I could have
called him.
We were there, you know.
But yeah, I love you, mom Dad.
I love you mom, uh, dad, I loveyou so much.

(24:47):
You, uh man, you're, you're,you're just my dad.
My dad is, he's crazy, but shit,he keeps it real.
That's him, he, he ain't afraidto speak his mind or or

(25:08):
anything like that.
You know, a lot of people don'tlike that, but I fucking
appreciate the shit out of itand it's crazy how much we are
alike and I've kind of figuredthat out more this last trip to
Portugal, where I was just justthinking and like being in the

(25:29):
positions we were in and and, uh, I don't know, we were just
catching up and he's like youknow what, you're just a late
bloomer and I was like you knowwhat, I am just a late bloomer,
that's right.
My dad will drop littleknowledge nuggets every now and
then, um, and sometimes it'slike pretty profound when it

(25:50):
like I don't think it would beor could be, depending on the
question.
But for instance, my dad, I wasmoving all over the fucking
place and I was somewhere andjust getting to another place
and my dad dad was like why doyou move so much?
Why can't you stay in one placefor so long, why you got to be
everywhere and can't stay put,and this and this and this.

(26:12):
And I really didn't have ananswer for him.
I've always just done what feltright to me, just yeah, and he
goes.
Oh, I figured it out and I waslike what he goes, it's just

(26:33):
because you're Portuguese.
I was like what he goes?
Yeah, we're explorers, we'rePortuguese, that's what we do.
We explore, we go everywhere,we go to uncharted places and
meet new people, new things, learn, like that's that's what I
do.
I show up in a new place andsettle there for a little bit

(26:55):
and go to another place and youknow that type of thing.
And it made sense.
Um, so yeah, shouts out to mypops.
He uh, I watched him like comefrom the bottom to like rock

(27:18):
bottom and take his, his life inhis own hands and and and get
back, get back.
And he got his get back and andhe told me that I remember that
he was like, don't worry about, don't worry about me, I'm gonna
get it all back.
And he did.
And I watched that and I knewthat there's nothing that I

(27:41):
couldn't go through.
Uh, because I watched my dadlose it all and then get it back
.
So, um, yeah, that's, that's,that was some powerful shit.
Uh, eventually, I'm sure I'lltalk to some of some of those
experiences later on um, butyeah, shouts out to Pops he's,

(28:08):
you know, low-key, like one ofmy heroes, even though he's
crazy, and, but I'm crazy, soit's whatever it all checks out.
Um, yeah, and shouts out to mymoms love you mommy.
Um, what do we got next?
Uh, shouts out to dre, chef, dre, mamas, dre, my sister, uh,

(28:38):
you know, I think I probablymaybe speak about her most on
here and I don't really try notto speak too much about, you
know, those around me, just, youknow, out of privacy and
whatnot and uh, but yeah, that'smy hero right there.
I love my sister, I look up toher so much, um, she's done so

(29:03):
much for me, even when shedoesn't even know it.
But every day, you know, I lookup to her and she's always
putting her best foot forward, not complaining and just getting
after it.
She gets me.

(29:23):
And, yeah, we're going to go seeKendrick Lamar together.
Yeah, I'm excited.
I hope you're excited.
And congratulations for goingback on tour again with Katie.
I'm so proud of you.
Second world tour Congrats,congrats.
We love you, we're all proud ofyou.
You're the goat in my eyes, sister and Alex.

(29:47):
Shout out to Alex.
Alex won an Oscar, a Grammy, anEmmy Oscar.
I think she's a really talentedmakeup artist in LA with my
sister and she won it for doingthe makeup on euphoria, the

(30:07):
wonderful hbo series.
Uh, so, shots out to her.
She's killing it.
Her and my sister both wentdown there to uh chase their
dreams and they're, they'redoing all that and then some,
and uh, yeah, that's verymotivating for me.
So thank you too, you powercouple.

(30:27):
Uh, hopefully, um, hopefully,I'll see you guys in portugal,
we'll see.
I know you're on torsos and allthat, but, yes, well, either
way, I'll see you in kendrick inmay, in, right, so, yeah, there
you go.
Shouts out to you, sisterVictor Cano shouts out to Victor

(30:57):
that's my boy.
We got to catch up after a bunchof years on this last trip to
Cali.
You know he's got that type ofenergy that I fuck with that.
You know, if you're tight withsomebody and you know they're
coming through you, you set itup so that way.
You know I got you, you're myguest, everything's taken care

(31:21):
of, everything is you need.
You know what I mean.
Let me show you around.
Let me is taken care of.
Everything is you need.
Uh, you know what I mean.
Let me show you around.
Let me my.
Mi casa su casa.
Let's you know, let's get afterit, let's let's catch up for
old times and it was so nice tosee victor and victor's doing
his thing.
Um, I'm gonna go get his procard for bodybuilding, so I'm
gonna be watching him, followinghim along doing that and I

(31:44):
think we're to do a podcast oneday here in the near future that
I think is going to be reallygood for people to hear.
Shouts out to Kano my dog Marcos, my dog Marcos Diaz.
It's been a little minute sincewe talked.
Uh, it's been a little minutesince we we talked.

(32:08):
Uh, we did a podcast, uh, awhile back.
And yeah, like, from there fromthen until now, I don't think
I've ran into another personthat like would drop everything
to to be there for you, typething, and uh, I think, just

(32:29):
because he knows the type ofdude I am, and and uh, yeah, but
after that podcast he went backhome and we lost, uh, we lost a
good friend of ours, beto, thatwe grew up with, so rip to beto
tycoon himself.
Um, yeah, um, marco's beenthrough a lot, uh and uh, but

(32:57):
yeah, man, he's always kept itreal, he's always, he's always
been there for me.
Um, so I hope you're doing good, bro, get a hold of me when you
can.
And if you hear this, you knowyou were here from the jump.
It's an RIP to his pops too.
I'm glad I got to meet him.

(33:22):
And then, yeah, Marcos made atrip back a year after we did
that first podcast and, yeah, wechilled.
He was here for me during avery crucial time and helped,
you know, get me going in theright direction and help I
needed to be around thathustler's mentality and that

(33:45):
familiarity the familiarity youknow what I'm trying to say the
familiar presence of him, youknow, you know it.
Really, you can really get alot of shit done as a team if

(34:08):
everybody's on the same page andyou're working towards the same
goals or even just bouncingideas off each other, stuff like
that.
And damn, it was so nice havinghim there for that and just to
sit down and talk to him andgetting some insight into his
life.
And yeah, we went through a lotof the same shit and he just he

(34:33):
sticks to the code and that'sso important.
So I rock with you to the daythat I'm out this bitch Marcos.
You're my family, you're mybrother and I appreciate you.
So holler at me as soon as youcan, bro.
Um, Danny, mejia, danny, we'vebeen homies for the longest and

(34:58):
uh, every time I pull up, Ialways got a place to chill,
always got a place to chill, always got a place to stay.
And we always Reminiscing anduh, yeah, we're on.
We're on that same Same type ofhype.
He's always calling me PatchAdams too.
That's funny, I get it.
I guess low key, yeah, a littleGot some Patch Adams Going on
here.
But uh, I'm happy to see howsuccessful you've become, you

(35:24):
know With the BMW stuff.
And yeah, man, you've alwaysbeen solid.
I hope we get to link up again.
Maybe when I'm in Cali we canlink, or if you're trying to
come see the crib or whatever, just let me know.
So, yeah, lots of love to Danny, or maybe go check out your

(35:48):
brother in hawaii or somethinglike that.
Um, but yeah, hope to see yousoon, bro.
Appreciate you.
Um, ray and marshall oh, mygoodness, when I'm back in cali
we are going to link my guys.
It's been way too long, damn.
Those are some homies rightthere and they're like we're

(36:09):

It's cool.
I'm trying to interview theseguys Like so, yeah, hit me up,
marshy, and yeah, get a hold ofme, ray.
Let's, let's do a podcast andlet's chill and hang out.
It'll be good to see you guys.
So yeah, from like way, way,way back in the day where I grew

(36:36):
up, I have to still keep incontact with quite a few people.
From back home.
I want to shout out Cherish, myfriend Cherish.
She has been on the road torecovery, I want to say starting
last year, towards the end oflast year, maybe this starting
at the beginning of this year.
Yeah, she's on TikTok and youknow, just being upfront and

(37:00):
honest with her struggles, youknow, addiction and motherhood
and everything.
And, uh, I want to say I justwant to applaud you.
Um, you know, find that outletthat'll help you work through
things.
Um and uh, yeah, you're goingto get to where you want to be.
And, uh, I want you to do some, some merch with the clothing

(37:26):
stuff, because she's supertalented with.
She makes like these sick jeanjackets with like, yeah, really
sick.
So, yeah, cherish, I hopeyou're doing well, I'll be
watching you.
You love the shit out of yourson, dax, that's for sure, and
I'd love to see it.
Uh, and then her brother, blake, shouts out to Blake, it's been

(37:48):
a long time.
That was like a little homieright there.
Uh, yeah, he tried to.
You know, I hope I'm not TMIing, but he tried to take his own
life and, uh, it didn't nothappen, but for, I think, for a

(38:12):
reason.
Uh, so, yeah, I haven't had achance to to get out there and
see him since any of thatoccurred, but you're in my
thoughts, blake, and I can'twait to to link up with you when
I, when I get out to cali andsay what's up?
So stay strong, stay vigilant.
And uh, yeah, we will talk soon, buddy.
So, yeah, hope you guys arewell.
We will talk soon.

(38:32):
Trisha and Tennyson wow, thisis my LA fam.
Tennyson man, we're gonna dopodcast one day.
It'd be ridiculous not to ourstory.
Crazy Me and my little brother.
We were in West Hollywoodpartying for Thanksgiving

(38:58):
weekend, me and my mom, brotherand sister.
I can't remember the last timewe were all in one place at one
time, me and my mom, brother andsister.
We're like never all.
I can't remember the last timewe were all in one place at one
time, but a couple years ago ithappened in LA and me and my
brother got turnt up and wedidn't want to take a $200 Uber

(39:19):
home from West Hollywood towhere my sister lives, and
Tennyson didn't want to take a$10 Uber home.
His house was like down thestreet and so we go to his
apartment and we end up justdrinking and having a good old
time, stayed up all night, almost ruined Thanksgiving.
But we became brothers tightever since and I love that.

(39:40):
We still stay in contact andevery time I come to LA, he
always drops whatever he's doingand comes to have Korean
barbecue with me and Tricia andmy sister and everybody.
So thank you, tennyson, forbeing my bro, my brother, from
another.
Yeah, I really appreciate youand yeah, I really appreciate

(40:04):
you, and I know life is crazyand we live in a time,
polarizing time, of wherepolitics and other things can
intensify the world.
But you know, I think we'vesaid it before no-transcript.

(40:31):
Uh, and trisha, trisha, trisha,trisha.
Trisha's been my homie for ever, ever.
She's hilarious.
She's starting her own podcast.
Uh, I'm gonna go check that outwhen I I might do it with you,
why not?
Huh, you want to interview me?
Can I be on it?
Uh, trisha and her homegirl aredoing a podcast on, like, what
it's like dating in la, sothat's got to be good.

(40:52):
Um, yep, and her wonderfuldaughter, misa nisa fuck, I
always do that.
Um, yeah, she, uh, she made me.
Uh, trisha, she was like uh,hey, she was telling me that her

(41:14):
daughter was like, is that myuncle on the horse over there?
Whatever like, but like talkingto me?
And uh, that made me.
I don't know, that really mademe happy, you know.
So, yeah, hopefully one day wecan get all y'all on some horses
.
Um, yeah, love you guys.
I'll be in LA shortly and I'llsee y'all soon.

(41:38):
Mario and Ryan, damn Chef, mario, that's my dog and shout out to
Ryan the thigh guy, the chef, ryan, the chef, mario, he had
just opened a restaurant notlong ago Michelin, I think it

(41:59):
was three stars, don't I can'tremember.
Um, and I think he's not doingthat now, but he's doing
consulting, for I don't know,he's like a really really,
really, really impressive, uh,chef.
And we became tight becauseryan invited me out to go work
with him.
Uh, he caters really dopeevents, weddings and stuff, uh.

(42:21):
And we went to shit, what lakewas that?
Somewhere where you go tojordan utah and you take the
river down and it it gets to aplace where I think it like
intersects with like Idaho andsome other place.
But it was really cool.
It was a bougie ass like lakeand it was just so cool.

(42:43):
But yeah, I can vividly rememberchilling at the Airbnb and just
like we had to prep so muchfood in this huge ass kitchen
and I was just going, hourswould go by and we talked and
talked and talked and talked.
And I was just going, hourswould go by and we talked and
talked and talked and talked andit was just dope, free flow
conversation like the first dayI met him and we've been tight

(43:04):
ever since and he opened up tome like right away too, like so
I feel like we got some podcastshit to do in our future, bro,
because I actually learned a lotfrom you bro.
Uh, yeah, and you've beenthrough a lot of shit too, uh,
and you just like, not like in anonchalant way, but you're like
so accepting of speaking aboutit.

(43:28):
You know like you're, you'recomfortable like speaking your
mind when it comes to that stuffand I appreciate that about you
.
Um, yeah, we're gonna do thatone day.
People learn a lot from you.
Uh, and ryan, ryan and mogli andhis wonderful wife and everyone
else I met through ryan.

(43:48):
Uh, ryan's a homie.
We met in la.
Uh, he used to work with mysister cooking in the same spot
and then I started doing thecatering serving and then moved
on to bartending and all that.
But I started there with Ryanand a bunch of other homies that

(44:10):
hopefully I get to see in LA.
And Ryan, we're definitelydoing a podcast soon.
We talked about it.
I'm going to be in Utah thisyear at some point and I will
let you know those dates and Iwill see you.
And we're definitely doing apodcast soon.
We talked about it.
Uh, I'm gonna be in utah thisyear at some point and I will
let you know those dates and Iwill see you and we're gonna
make that happen.
Uh, yeah, and he's always beenan avid listener since I started
it.
He would always reach out to mea day or so after I drop an

(44:31):
episode and be like hey, bro, this and this and this and uh.
One thing that stood out to mewhen I started doing it.
He said I really appreciate thelong form content and I really
appreciated that, because we dolive in a time of instant
gratification and reels andshorts and and everything.
But, uh, you can't really, inmy opinion, I don't think you

(44:56):
can really get to the core ofthings and figure things out, um
, unless you have the time to doso, to to break it down and
stuff.
So, yeah, thank you, for when Istarted this I didn't know if
making two and a half hour longpodcasts in the in the age that
we were in today would would beviable, but I stuck to it and

(45:18):
it's working out.
So thank you for thatencouragement, ryan, I
appreciate you.
Um, we're very like-mindeddudes too.
We're gonna do some huntingsoon.
Oh, tremarius and john john damn, this is my brothers shit I had
planned a trip.
We had had a trip like 10 yearsplanned to catch up since, like

(45:40):
I was in the army with thesedudes.
I went to Afghanistan, tremarius he went to Iraq, I
think John I can't remember ifJohn John went to Iraq too or
not but, man, we went to basicAIT, airborne school, all that
shit together.
And man, sometimes you justmeet some, meet, you just meet

(46:06):
some people and you don't evengotta like speak about like
how'd you grow up or what's your, what was your life like?
It's like, nah, we just met andwe it's like I instantly knew
that they just got me.
You know, I just got them.
It's actually a funny story.
After Airborne School we get toFort Bragg and I remember like

(46:28):
yo, what are we going to do thisweek?
Blah, blah, blah, and we'relike all right, let's go to the
mall, let's go do this, this andthis, and I, the mall, let's go
to do this, this and this.
And I remember I was like Igotta impress these dudes and
let them know.
You know what time it is.
And so we get to the mall andthere's like a girl and like a
little miata pulling up and Iwas like, watch this, boys, you

(46:51):
know, did my eyebrows and thenwalked over to the car and then
came back, you know, with thephone number, like, and you know
, just just I was just off therip, I had to show him what time
it is, let him.
Let him know that you know werocking with the same shit and
uh, yeah, I vividly rememberthat, and we have nothing but
cool ass stories for days anddays and days and days.

(47:12):
Man, shit, I found myself incrazy situations, not crazy
situation, but like feeling acertain type of way after
situations, and I could go backand, you know, talk to one of
those dudes and then it wouldlike I'll be cool, I'll be level

(47:33):
level again.
They're just, they just got achill way of breaking things
down and not being judgmentaland, you know, maybe having a
little bit similar upbringingstoo, kind of kind of helps with
that.
So, man, that was my brothersright there, t, you know, I'm
gonna see y'all, I'm gonna seeyou boys real soon, uh, soon, uh

(47:55):
.
And then, yeah, hopefully wecould go link up with the homie
alvin and, uh, make that podcasthappen, uh.
But yeah, atl, like a littlehome, away from home.
Uh, t, his whole family made mefeel damn, like I was, like I
was one of them.

(48:15):
Um, t's family, so, so amazing.
Um, when I went down there, hewas like yo, the crib's, all
yours, the Denali's, sure, asyou want it.
Um, you know your schedule, dowhatever you want.
Uh, my, my sister's birthday isin a couple of days, though,

(48:38):
but if you want to, we can goback to the hometown and uh, you
know, if you want to go andlike I could have done nothing
anywhere in Atlanta, I couldhave like skipped.
I could have skipped alleverything football games,
concert, whatever.
Going to like meet his family, like one of my close.
Like meet his family like oneof my close, close, close

(48:58):
friends, one of my brothers, youknow, that was like everything
to me.
Seeing where he grew up,meeting all his friends from you
know, where he grew up, thehouse that he was able to put
his mama in, uh, you know, justshow me around everywhere.
You know, meeting his kids, man, it was just beautiful.
And yeah, john, john, I'm goingto come check out you and

(49:22):
Genesis and your babies andspend some time with y'all.
I want to go check out Memphistoo.
That'd be tight.
Maybe go catch Crump out thereor something.
But yeah, man, thank you to mybrothers.
I'll see y'all soon.
My day one's A1 since day oneand you know you're going to
Portugal.
T With your traveling ass.
We're moving along here.

(49:56):
Isaac and Bonnie Gold BigInnovations and Management LLC.
Man, isaac and Bonnie I don'tknow I met him.
I met Isaac a while back when Iwas working in the oil fields a

(50:16):
couple years ago, and just wejust stuck around like I don't
know.
You wouldn't even think wewould like be hanging out if you
met us or seen us or somethinglike that.
But you know, him and his wifehave been just the sweetest
people, uh, uh, my man alwayscomes, picks me up from the

(50:38):
airport, drops me off, lets mekeep my whip at his air at his
house and man, just just solid, solid people and uh, watching
how much he's been able to growand accomplish business wise
over the last year and it reallymotivates me to see that.

(50:59):
And yeah, you have a story ofyour own, you know, and you
never let that stuff keep youdown and you've done nothing but
crush it.
So, yeah, thank you fortreating me like family, isaac
and bonnie and uh, I know we'regonna stay close for many years

(51:20):
to come.
And uh, yeah, I just want tosay thank you guys.
Um, bradley p, bradley, bradley, bradley, bradley, pettier um,
another one of you wouldn'tthink we would kick it, you

(51:42):
wouldn't think we would kick it,type of thing.
I met him in the oil field abunch of years back, a couple
years back, man, when I was here.
I was in this place.
It was fucking empty, empty, empty, empty.
And I was sitting right thereon the floor and bradley was
here sitting there with jjholding jj, and I took a picture

(52:05):
when he wasn't paying attention.
Uh, he came, he came to checkon me and he gave me $200.
I'll never forget that, which Ihave paid him back.
But he was going through thingsof his own and probably wasn't

(52:38):
the best idea maybe for him todo the getting up and going and
driving all the way out here tocheck up on me and help me out
with a little bit of money likethat, uh, but he did it and, man
, that meant the world to me andI actually warning, I kind of
accidentally or like low-key,take pictures like of people
with j?
Jj or something like that, justbecause it's cute, and then

(52:58):
I'll send it to him and be likeoh so yeah, I sent that picture
to him and I didn't know howmuch that meant to him.
And uh, you know, it turns outthat at the point in our lives,
like we just meant a lot to eachother and he's been going
through a bunch and we actuallydid a podcast not that long ago,

(53:21):
episode 21, the final one ofseason two.
It's just a little for me toughto listen to.
You know, I have to go back andI listen to all these stories,
um, and I'm an empath and I feellike I feel other people's pain
, I feel the energy and that'swhy I don't just put episodes

(53:44):
out like that, because when I goback to review them and listen
to them, they kind of take atoll on me.
They can, and that's why thatepisode isn't out yet, because
it's an important episode, it'san important conversation during
a tough time and I'm going toget to it and it's going to be

(54:08):
good.
But damn, within this last yearI think this dude lost 75
pounds over the last couplemonths or something, but I don't
know, Just solid, just solid, totally on his journey.

(54:29):
Right now, life is crazy andflipped upside down.
It's for a lot of people, theuniverse is doing down.
It's for a lot of people, theuniverse is doing what is doing.
But yeah, bradley, thank youfor being solid, thank you for
being a homie, thank you foralways picking up the phone,
thank you for being the oneperson to drive down here and,

(54:49):
uh, be there for me when Ididn't have anybody.
That means the world to me.

Uh, and the scary guy acrossfrom me had a blank death stare,

(01:05:41):
so I wasn't minding too muchattention to that or to think
that he was even listening towhat I had going on at all,
because he had headphones in.
I thought he was maybelistening to some death metal or
something.
So as I'm about to get up andleave even a second, I'm closing
the conversation with the kidhe tells me hey, you know, you

(01:06:02):
know kind of, tell me a littlebit more about the podcast.
You know like, oh, this guy waslistening so long story short.
I run out, get him a flyer, drop it off of him and yeah,
he's got a crazy story, a crazylife and he was like you know,
hey, would you be down tointerview me?
Like the offer you know wasright there and uh, yeah, so

(01:06:26):
we're gonna do that, but butwe've.
He travels as much as I do andhe's doing his thing.
I love just like watching thisdude's stories.
He's in another country all thetime.
He just got married toocongratulations, jerry.
And he has the sickest wienerdog what's his name?

Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
again, I forgot that dog's name.

Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
But yeah, man, that dude's been a homie.
We've just sparingly talkedhere and there, but since he's
traveling, like that, he's goingto come out.
We're going to meet up thisyear somewhere, for sure, uh.
But yeah, we have a podcastthat is gonna be done this year
and I think it's gonna be one ofthe dopest to be ever done.

(01:07:09):
Uh.
So yeah, shouts out to jerry um, alex wimbaugh, alex dang, alex
probably don't even know thathe's my homie, like that.
Uh, I was in Bozeman justchilling at the gym like I do

(01:07:30):
and I'm hooping, and uh, a dudewalks into the gym and he's like
hey, do you remember me?
And I did remember him becauseearlier that year, about a year
before that, I'd say I was in.
I was in a gym and you know youcan pay for to put your like

(01:07:51):
flyers to advertise inside theselittle clear things, you know,
but you pay for them to do it,right?
I just like went and put themin there, like anyways, uh, and
they got taken out eventually.
But one of the dudes seen itand that was alex, and alex
stopped me in that in the gym.
Well, we had talked that dayand I was telling a little bit

(01:08:14):
about the podcast, but that's itwas very minimal.
And all this time goes by.
It was very minimal and allthis time goes by and I'm in the
gym hooping and he comes inlike, walks across and
everything, and I'm like, okay, there's guys coming directly
towards me like I'm just theonly, I'm the only one in here.
He's like, hey, man, let metalk to you for a second.
I was like what's up?
He's like you remember me?
And I was like, yes, I doremember you because I did, uh,

(01:08:37):
and I remember the conversationwe had in the in the locker room
, uh, uh, but he had, he, hestopped to tell me that he had
been listening to the podcastand he just said like a, a lot
of really, really, really nicethings that you know really
stuck with me, uh, to this day, that that you know I was able to

(01:09:02):
give, that you know just fromthe conversations that I have
with people.
Um.
So, yeah, I want to say thankyou to Alex.
You know, ever since that, thatmoment, that point, it it
pushed me to to, to even workeven harder than I do already on
this, which is with all theenergy that I have in my body,
pretty much, um, so yeah, alex, thank you, man, uh, you doing

(01:09:27):
that like reassured me of likemy path, that I'm on and every.
You never know when you needthat, when you need to hear that
, and and.
But yeah, so we've kind of likestayed in contact uh, since you
know, we, we exchanged numbers,uh, I went to a meeting with
him, uh, with to meet one of hisbuddies and, uh, one of his

(01:09:59):
friends, and it was just all somuch for for being, for being a
cool dude and just like beingthere reaching out.
He reaches out every now andthen uh just kind of checks up
on me, see how I'm doing andstuff.
So that means a lot.
I want to say thank you forthat.
Um, yeah, I got a gift for you, fuck yeah, since, uh, I don't

(01:10:24):
know when I'm gonna go back tobozeman, uh, anytime soon.
I always forget this shit, butI got this in portugal for you.
It's a uh, a tile, which whywould I want one of these?
Like in portugal, there's likerando color tiles on.
Like you got 10 000 white onesand then one of these, so it
looks really cool, but this onehas like a thermometer on it and

(01:10:47):
it's from algarve, thebeautiful, beautiful beach,
which is so dope there.
So, uh, but yeah, I broughtthat gift for because, yeah,
that conversation you had andthe amount of and the friendship
that we have made since then, Ijust wanted to show my

(01:11:11):
appreciation for you for that.
So, thank you so much, alex.
You, the man, jose Corona, wow, alex.
Um, you, the man jose corona, wow, it's back in la from the,
from the same era.
Um, me and jose kicked it.
Uh, we stayed in contact.

(01:11:32):
I follow him a little bit onsocial media, uh, and we've been
planning for him to come tocome through and check out what
I got going on.
I remember I used to hike like amfr when I was in la.
I'd like when I had my weekendsoff, I'd drive somewhere and go
on like 14 hour hikes and shitlike that.
And I took him to the sanjacinto mountains to go up what

(01:11:57):
mountain was that?
Kookamonga rancho, kookamonga, cucamonga, rancho, cucamonga, uh
, cucamonga Peak, uh, and yeah, this dude don't hike, he's, he
lives in LA and and and he'sjust chilling like he's not
really about that life, you know, and I I invited him hey, man,
you wanna go on this hike?
He went with me and I mean, hewas, he was gonna die, like,

(01:12:25):
like he was dying, but he didthe shit with me, like it was
sick, and I remember that hetook a video of me doing
mountaintop karate.
I'll never forget that.
I'm sure that video is aroundhere somewhere, uh, but we
stayed in contact and uh, yeah,um, I know your, uh, your next
chapter, jose, is going to bethe sickest one yet.
Um, so I'm here for you for, with whatever support you need,

(01:12:48):
um, I appreciate you, bro.
Michelle Jones and Rob Davies, veterans Incorporated that is a
non-profit um.
Incorporated that is anon-profit um.

(01:13:09):
That helped me immensely, uh,getting into this place.
Um, yeah, I did not have a lotof stability at that moment and,
uh, I'm I'm glad that there arethose resources out there for
veterans, because if that wasn'tthere, I don't know what I
would have, what my situationwould have looked like.

(01:13:32):
You know, it could have beenmuch worse.
So thank you to those two andeveryone else at their company.
So, thank you to those two andeveryone else at their company.
It's helped me solidify what Iwant to do with helping people
in my own nonprofit.
I hope I can carry that samekind of energy that you guys do

(01:13:54):
to help people and thanks forshowing love to JJ.
Jj loves those guys.
Yeah, yeah, shouts out veteransinc.
Um, we're getting towards theend.
Okay, here's a couple shout outsof some music uh, type peeps,

(01:14:16):
uh, parlay star, bozeman montanathat's where he at now parlay's
from.
La, uh and uh.
We met.
We met, I don't know, maybe acouple years ago, but uh, last
year spoke a little bit more, soI kind of got to learn about

(01:14:37):
his story a little bit more uhand uh.
But yeah, parley's a rapper, uh, and he's got bars and uh, yeah
.
So you know, whenever I get achance to shout out somebody
that's that's, that's on thegrind and and and trying to do
good in this world, uh, you knowhe, he's out there talking
about a lot of things that aregoing on in the world and, uh,

(01:14:59):
he just keeps it real.
He's been through a lot, seen alot.
I found out that man's got aplate in his chest.
We're getting shot.
That's a gangster right there.
So, yeah, shouts out to parlaystar.
He's in bozeman.
He's got music all over youtube.
Go check him out, subscribe.
Uh, ba the big dog man.
I don't even know how to startthat story of how we met, but he

(01:15:23):
was just coming, he was justmoving to Houston from Memphis,
I believe, and we just kind ofcrossed paths.
We were both on our travels, onthe way to Houston and man, I
don't know, it's really hard toexplain he's just my boy, he's
my homie, and I appreciate everytime I see his number, his name

(01:15:49):
, pop up on my phone.
We're from different walks oflife but you know, you know a
real one when you see one, whenyou're around one, and he's
always looked out for me too, like OG, big Brother type shit.
But he's a rapper too inHouston and, yeah, he's doing

(01:16:16):
his thing.
Right now he's got a songcalled Test this.
I'm probably going to releaseit out there so people can can
listen to it.
But yeah, he's, uh, he's doinghis thing out there.
Uh, miss you, bro.
Uh, next time I'm out there.
That way we're going to link upand uh, yeah, um, sending my

(01:16:36):
best to you and your family, sending my best to you and your
family.
Dave Martinez, dave, dave, dave.
Dave is the homie, dave is fromthe LA uh time frame for me,
when I was working and doing allthat, uh, when I had a going
away party, it was like me, dave, um, grant, um shit, john Paul

(01:17:03):
tattoo artist.
Grant, shit, john Paul.
Tattoo artist.
John Paul, I'm getting blastedwhen I go down to LA, bro Shout
out to John Paul.
And why is that name escaping me?
Why is that escaping me?
I gotta find it, because now Iwon't feel good about it.
If I don't find it, what isdude?

(01:17:28):
All right, whatever.
Well, you know.
You know who I'm talking about, sir.
But yeah, dave, see Lit 45.
My man is a punk rock legend inthe Los Angeles area, that's

(01:17:54):
for sure Skis.
But Dave's always been a homie.
Me and Dave look like we neverhang out, ever, uh, but dave is
the most solidest homeboy ever.
I fucking love dave.
Uh, dave is uh, his punk rockcareer resurgence is going on.

(01:18:17):
He made a new album.
It's popping.
Go check out Clip 45.
I really want to go to one ofyour punk shows I think you were
talking about doing.
You're doing like some sort ofcooking show or something that
you wanted me to come check outWhile I'm in town or something.

(01:18:37):
But I'd love to do a podcastwith you, bro.
To be honest, that'd be sick,um, but yeah, shouts out to dave
.
Dave did something.
Very nice, dave, was he put outthis new song and his new album
and stuff.
And you know there's this thingon instagram, a post, and I
wrote exciting times, dave, exclamation point and I haven't

(01:18:59):
seen, talked to Dave really inlike you know, haven't seen him
in years and everything.
And he said that song he's likethe song is for you or it's
like written, you know, it'slike the words are like for you,
like it's about you, and like Iwas like what, what do you mean

(01:19:20):
type of thing.
And I guess the song is calledlike real ones or the lyrics in
the song are real ones orsomething.
But that's what he was tryingto like, you know, say it was
like, you know, I always kept itreal with him, like I always,
you know, and it's always beenlike that with with me and him,
um, but that meant a lot to me,dave.
I appreciate you saying that, because we don't see each other,

(01:19:41):
we don't talk every day likethat, but you know, across the
world and in LA and in hiswonderful world of punk rock and
everything else, he still, Istill came to mind when he was
writing the song about you knowthe real shit writing this song

(01:20:03):
about.
You know the real shit and, andI don't know, maybe it just
comes from like the things thatare talked about on this podcast
or something, but, uh, thatmeant a lot.
So, thank you, dave, you're theman.
Um, yeah, let's go run amarathon or something.
That's crazy too that we didshit like that.
Kawaii francis, uh, we met onset of a tied dollar signs music

(01:20:28):
video a couple years ago.
Uh, yeah, that was, that was atrip.
We just started chopping it upon set.
Um, I think he was an extra, uh, but he was in LA chasing his
music you know career and dreamswhich is popping off right now.
He's doing a lot of cool shit, but I'm going to be interviewing

(01:20:48):
him on the podcast For sureskis, and he's got a couple
other people too he's going totry to link me up with.
So that'll be cool.
I'm excited to meet your peopleand get to catch up after after
all these years and see whatyou've been up to and and all
that.
So yep shouts out to my boy uh,we're getting somewhere now.

(01:21:14):
Shouts out to Pickens, my boy, pickens um, I think you retired
from the army or you weregetting out of active and going
to guard and going back home toMississippi or something like

(01:21:37):
that.
Uh, but that's my dude, we were, we were, we were, uh, we're in
the same unit for a minute, um,and my dude loves horses, just
like I love horses, and he'sreally about that life.
He real, real, real, realcountry folk, and I love that.
Um, yeah, pickens, always, he'salways been a real one.

(01:22:00):
Oh, yeah, we deployed together, that's right, we did.
So, yeah, man shouts out toPickens Congrats on your time
served in the Army.
You were always just solid, bro, but now you know what I got
going on and we're on that sametype shit.
I want you to come teach meeverything you need, everything

(01:22:22):
you know about horses, becauseyou, you, the horse man.
So, uh, yeah, shout out toPickens man, I'm glad we've been
able to reconnect.
Um, brandon, brandon is fromhere.
Brandon has been here since Igot here and Brandon pops up
every couple weeks and he's, andhe, he helps, he helps me.

(01:22:44):
He helped me when I first gothere, just being someone to talk
to, and then he, him and hisbaby mama, they just built my
computer, my dream, mysupercomputer.
That's gonna help change theworld.
Um, so, yeah, brandon, I, yeah, brandon, I appreciate you.
Um, and you know when I get towhere I'm going, you, uh, we got

(01:23:08):
something planned for how we'regonna combine forces and how
you're gonna help me in myendeavors.
How does that happen?
That happen ghosts, um.
So, yeah, shouts out to brandonthe homie.

(01:23:28):
Uh, yeah, you lost hella.
Way too, bro.
I'm proud of you.
You're looking jack city.
Uh, okay, got that one pickings, got that.
Grant Leporo Grant Grant was oneof the ones that went to the
going away party situation forme when I was in LA and I took

(01:23:49):
all the homies out.
We all went out and had a blast.
Grant told me that was one ofthe greatest days of his life,
one of the greatest evenings ofhis life.
One of the greatest evenings ofhis life, something along those
lines, and I meant that, meantthe world to me, like I feel

(01:24:09):
like I'm not really that tight.
I know john paul, he's cool andI'm just kidding, everybody's
cool, we're all cool dudes, forsure.
But we just raged like a normalrager, like how I used to get
down.
Uh, just the bros gettingtattoos, doing blow all the
things.
And grant painted me a painting,uh, before I moved from la no I

(01:24:36):
don't have it here, but or it's, it's's here, it's just not
right here, but, um, yeah, Ikept that with me forever.
That's one of my, one of mymost favorite gifts I've ever
received.
So, thank you, grant.
Grant is amazing, uh famous, Idon't know, mostly famous uh
painter artist in in Los Angeles.
Uh, I can't wait to see him.

(01:24:56):
So I can't wait to see you,grant.
Uh, and thank you for thatpainting.
I hold it dear to my heart.
It kind of has like me and UFOsand aliens kind of.
And, yeah, he, he got me into alot of sick podcasts too and we
always would catch up after welistened to all that shit all
week and catch up.
He was working to uh doing theevent stuff.

(01:25:17):
So shouts out to Grant um,jordan and Robin, uh, uh, two
wonderful people that uh havehelped me when it comes to my,
my, my horse, my horse and andboarding and stuff like that.

(01:25:39):
Uh, you know there had beensome people that uh, we're not,
we're not being as helpful as Ithought they were when it comes
to um, me and my goals for forwhat I'm doing with my horse and

(01:26:01):
ranching and whatnot.
Uh, but you know, the only wayyou can combat bad is like with
with good or something like that.
But, yeah, those, those twoindividuals, gave my horse a
home, have given him a home, atemporary home, and uh also

(01:26:25):
gaining lots of uh, wisdom andadvice.
Um, so, yeah, I want to saythank you to, to you guys, and
can't wait to meet your dad,Jordan, um, and learn all there
is to know about horses, allthere is to know about horses.
Ekbert I already talked aboutEkbert, but after this I'm going

(01:26:50):
to put Ekbert's, me andEkbert's phone call out there.
And so season three is bringingnew beginnings and new energy,
and that's that's how we'removing this year.
Um, lastly, marcy marcy is myneighbor and my dear friend.
She's one of my best friends.
Uh, marcy is a wonderful, kindsoul.

(01:27:14):
Uh, who made.
I've never met anybody thatloves animals more than me, but
it might just be her.
She's so good with animals andpeople and she's just a joy to
be around.
No negative aspects about herand watching her growth and her

(01:27:35):
journey over the last year.
How long we've known each other.
She's been my neighbor since Igot here, uh, she, she's seen
the highs and lows of me, thegrowth, uh, everything.
No one's seen me more than her.
Uh, she watched she.

(01:27:55):
Her two dogs are family to mydog and they're all one big dog
family and she watches JJ for mewhenever I'm off on my travels
and she just hooks it up.
She helps out a lot.
She's a great, great, greatwoman and her family too Her
family have opened their home tome and a lot of what I learned

(01:28:17):
about ranching and horses, a lotof what I learned about
ranching and horses and you knowit came from her and her family
and, yeah, I can't thank themenough.
So, thank you to the Steeleysand thank you to Marcy and yeah,
marcy's my dog, that's my homie.
My home slice Fog Life yeah, Iappreciate you.
She's my dog, that's my homie.

(01:28:38):
My home slice Fog life yeah, Iappreciate you.
I think, oh, I just have acouple last few things.
I'll be ending on plans, Iguess big, big, big plans.

(01:29:05):
I'm taking a massive break, nota massive break, but I'm taking
me a break, a good break.
Once I put this episode out,I'll be recording a few and I
have some things set up torecord, many more.
So season 3 is going to bepopping, but I got Huey's

(01:29:25):
podcast out and then I got thisannouncements thing situation
that ended up being much longerthan I thought it would.
And then, yeah, plans, atl, la,portugal.
There's a lot.
I don't want to go into toomuch detail, uh, but I got a

(01:29:47):
documentary that I've beenworking on that.
I'm gonna maybe get somerecording of some content on
that, which would be cool tostart.
Um, that's a big deal for me.
I'll do more details once Ilike.
For sure, for sure, get thingssquared away.

Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:30:16):
Documentary, yeah, so that's kind of what I got
planned just continuing to dothe podcast, uh.
And then there's a lot, a lotmore to it than that how we're
gonna help people.
But you know, I, I realize it'sit's sometimes you just gotta
keep things in-house, um, youknow it's important, privacy is

(01:30:37):
important, um, for sure.
So you know when's importantPrivacy is important, for sure.
So you know, when I feel like Ihave a lot riding on what I'm
doing and so I want to protectwhat I'm doing at all costs, and

(01:31:01):
you know, so I'm being verycareful about people I have in
my life, and you know it'shelped me realize, you know how
important family is, and yeah,so, yeah, a lot of good things,

(01:31:25):
yeah, a lot of good things, um,yeah, so, uh, oh, I guess the
last thing I was gonna do, I wasgoing to I was gonna end on a
poem that I was gonna read.
I know silly, uh, I don't knowwhy exactly, but I feel like it
makes sense.
I don't know in my head I'velike always wanted to.
Just it's like my favorite poem, it's like the only poem I

(01:31:45):
really care about.
It's like tattooed on my chest,um, and it's by tupac.
Tupac marusha kur, one of myidols, one of my heroes, who, uh
, he's getting tattooed here onmy leg, um, but uh, when I was
really, really young, um, Ithink I was getting, yeah, I

(01:32:09):
think it was like my freshmanyear of high school and I went
to the library and I really loverap music.
I used to to like low-key rap alittle bit like when I was a
kid.
Uh, that was hilarious.
Rgz was my rap name, um, but Iremember going to library and I

(01:32:31):
was like I wonder if tupac's gotany books, because I'll really
feel him tupac and I still do.
That's my dude.
So I go to whatever sectionfiction, I end up in a poetry
section and I see the title, therose that grew from concrete.
That stuck with me too.

(01:32:52):
That that title, because I Ilike to think that that's a
little bit of how my life is, orI am.
I am like a rose that grew fromconcrete, the concrete jungle,
the you know, the ghetto, whatever it stands for.
Yeah, the beautiful rose, youknow it didn't get the beautiful

(01:33:18):
green, fertilized grass thatthe sun gets and fucking makes
it grow and water it.
No, there's a crack in thefucking busted up concrete of
just a hard dark place, harddark place and but somehow, some

(01:33:44):
way, you know, somethingbeautiful just like came out of
the darkness and uh, blossomed,uh, and so yeah that.
That that always stuck with me,the rose that grew from
concrete.
Um, uh, yeah, so that, but thatwas the name of the book, the
rose that grew from concrete.
And it just has a, a, just ascrapbook of all of his poems
that he wrote and they're alllike on binder paper and stuff

(01:34:07):
and this is the one that'stattooed on my chest, uh, the
one that always stuck out to me,always was important to me.
A lot of hard times in my lifeand my childhood and a lot of it
was spent listening to Pac toget away from it or something

(01:34:28):
like that.
But it goes like this In theevent of my demise by Tupac
Shakur, in the event of mydemise by Tupac Shakur, in the
event of my demise, when myheart can beat no more, I hope I
die for a principle or a beliefthat I have lived for.

(01:34:52):
I will die before my timebecause I feel the shadow's
depth.
So much I wanted to accomplishbefore I reached my death.
I've come to grips with thepossibility and wiped the last
tear from my eyes.
I loved all who were positivein the event of my demise.

(01:35:13):
Yeah, I don't know for likewhatever reason, that poem
always like meant a lot to me.
Like I had a binder, schoolbinder and I would have that
written um, and then like put inthe, in the, in the plastic
front part of the binder.
You know where you can like putstickers and shit like that.

(01:35:34):
I had that in there on on likeall my binders.
I don't even know what it likelike.
I knew what it meant when Iread it, but I don't know how it
like applied to my life, especially at that time.
Um, but then, as I've read itmillions of times over and over

(01:35:57):
and over, it's like almost likeforeseeing something.
I've always lived a very somewould say reckless, full send
kind of life, but I hope I'lldie for a principle or belief

(01:36:22):
that I live for.
Yeah, I'd die for the thingsthat I believe in and for the
things that I love.
But I always felt that, like mylife would be cut short early
because I lived the way I livedand a lot of it was just mostly

(01:36:43):
not wanting to be alive.
So you live at a different, Idon't know, just a different
speed of carelessness, which Idon't now.
You know, I love myself verymuch and I'm really I feel like
I've reached the point where I'mcomfortable saying that so much

(01:37:07):
I wanted to accomplish before Ireached my death.
That's true, but I did alwaysthink I would die before my time
or I'd be like in the 27 Clubor something like that.
But somehow I've made itthrough all the things, um, but

(01:37:27):
for a reason, so I can share allthese stories with you.
Well, yeah, that was the poemthat I was going to read, um,
and wow, this took much longerthan I anticipated.
But that's all right.
I'm going to very rarely, rarely do a thing where I'm not

(01:37:51):
talking to other people on here, but because this is such a
crucial moment in my life rightnow that, you know, before I
take a break, I just wanted toget that out there.
So, yeah, I want to say thankyou to everybody that listens
and checks up on me.

(01:38:13):
I'm also not as easy to likereach as I used to be.
I just have a lot of differentmoving things going on right now

(01:38:34):
in my life.
Number one is I'm just tryingto focus on being the best dad
ever and the relationship I havewith my kids right now.
I cannot even explain how happyit makes me and how happy they
make me.
So, you know, anything drawingmy focus away from that, or the

(01:38:54):
podcast, which is built to helppeople, and everything that ties
along with that, you know, thenthen it's for a reason.
But, yeah, this is the paththat I'm on.
This is the path that I yeah, Iappreciate everybody who, uh,

(01:39:24):
who's been here and reaches outand, uh, if I don't reach out or
something, and you think that Ishould, uh, or something like
that, you know, when I feel thetime is right is when I will do
that.
I went through a lot of hardthings this last year and before

(01:39:47):
that, like it's crazy, I haveyet to process and go through
all of it, but one day I will, but one day I will, and then

(01:40:13):
maybe after that I can entertainhaving more friendships or
letting more people in.
But right now I'm buildingsomething that's very important
to me and I can't risk anybodytrying to take that away from me
, or you know.
But, yeah, season three is onits way and, yeah, thank you

(01:40:36):
everybody, thank you so much foreverything and see you later.
Bye, go listen to Chris'spodcast.

Speaker 2 (01:40:47):
Bye for your own benefit and uh you, uh you, you

(01:41:16):
are dead and you just spend alife for for your own purposes
and for all your own benefits.
That's some a miserable lifefor me.
So the best way to live a lifeis to live for others.

Speaker 1 (01:41:23):
It's true, man, I realize that this whole last
year has been the most biggestrealization of my life, but,
like what we said, what you putin is what you get back, and I
think it's so important.
It's okay to make mistakes,it's okay to be a person of your
past, but once you look at itand you put it behind you,

(01:41:45):
anybody can change.
Anybody in the world.
I've seen people go throughhorrific things, people go to
prison, people go through somuch trauma and they're
succeeding because they didn'tlet it defeat them.
And that stuff always motivatedme, and so that's what sent me
off on my journey, and just likelistening to podcasts and audio
books for hours while I'mdriving across the country, all

(01:42:07):
that did was just like teach meCrazy.

Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
And one thing more, brother.
I figured that the bad personsare the weak persons.
The only reason they are bad isbecause they are weak, because
they expect too much.
When they, whenever they putgood things for someone else,
they expect too much when theydon't get a return financially,

(01:42:32):
mentally or circumstances oftheir life.
Whenever they don't get areturn, they get frustrated
because they are weak and theytend to be a bad person and stop
doing good things because theyexpect too much.
It's crazy the good persondoesn't do that.
The strong person doesn't dothat.
He just does good things forothers and never expects a

(01:42:53):
return and he moves on with hisown doings the good things for
his own contribution only.
He just does it for his owndoings, the good things for his
own contribution only.
He just does it for his ownpeace of mind.
Even if he doesn't get thepeace of mind out of the actions
that are good for others, hestill does that Because he's a
strong person and he's notaffected by small things that he

(01:43:18):
doesn't get a return mentallyor financially.
The weak person is like that, whenever he puts something, if
he doesn't get a return mentallyor financially, the weak person
is like that, whenever he putssomething, if he doesn't get a
return, he gets frustrated andstart blaming the world and
start doing bad things and saysthat uh, what, uh, what's the
point of doing good thing ifthey are not turning out good
for me?
How did you maybe?
I couldn't convey it?
No, how did you come?

(01:43:39):
How did you come to realizethat, though they are not
turning out good for?

Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
me.
Maybe I couldn't convey it.

Speaker 2 (01:43:47):
No, how did you come to realize that, though?
Just noticing people around me?
Some of them are like that whenthey do good things for others
and the next time they startdoing even more worse things,
because they call it out that Ijust want a good thing to him
and I never got it done.
So this world doesn't deservemy good things.

(01:44:08):
So I will just be mean toeveryone and I will just do
things for my own benefit.
Damn.

Speaker 1 (01:44:15):
You just described.
Like I don't give those peopletime anymore.
It's a lonely world.
We are strong.
Like I don't give those peopletime anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:44:22):
Um, it's a lonely world, but it's strong, so we
well, yeah, we forget when wemove on and start doing our own
thing.
He'll get return for what he'sdoing and you'll get a return
for what you are doing.

Speaker 1 (01:44:33):
You're so right, energy doesn't lie, it'll always
return.
Yeah, it's true, man.
Thank you so much for helpingme out today and I'm glad we
were able to talk and, you know, start forming a friendship.
I appreciate everything you'vedone for me and if you need
anything, man, you got my number, you got my social stuff Just
get a hold of me.

Speaker 2 (01:44:55):
Thank you.
It was really really niceworking and talking to you and
you are also in my friend list.
You are kind of meant to me.
I don't want to push things.

Speaker 1 (01:45:07):
Maybe you think that you know I'm kind of no, no, I
know how a human connection isand I know how things are
supposed to be.
You know things are meant to be.
They find each other.
That's how it is.
You know Friendships, whateverit is.
But yeah, absolutely all right,brother.
Well, I appreciate you and Ihope you have a good day today
and, uh, we'll talk soon, okay, okay, thank you, thank you.

(01:45:30):
All right, you have a good onetoo, you too.
Bye.
