Recorded in 2003 to be broadcast over a Winamp internet radio stream, the recordings that remain for "The Tale of Augusta Fruitfly" are in very poor quality. Listening back now, I would also say the scripts were also in very poor quality, dealing with slightly less morals than we have today. Reprehensible acts are showcased in the confusing mix of styles that has always been the Hats Off to Mrs Tipsy way - it's not always comedy: it's weird; it's bizarre; and if it leaves you feeling a little odd about everything, then we've done our job. This, however, was a job we did in 2003, and I'd like to say we'll never do it quite this way again.
