Welcome to Have a Blessed Gay, your weekly spiritual-comedy podcast! Join holy host, Tyler Martin, as he critically discusses social norms, current events, mental health, religion, and spirituality from an outcast's perspective.
In this episode, Tyler chats with Ross Murray, a Senior Director at The GLAAD Media Institute, the founder and director of The Naming Project (a faith-based camp for LGBTQ youth and their allies), and he’s the author of a new book called “Made, Known, Loved: Developing LGBTQ-Inclusive Youth Ministry,” which explores how people can work toward making their youth ministry and church inclusive. He has written and appeared on numerous media outlets, including CNN, MSNBC, USA Today, The Washington Post, Huffington Post, and Religion News Service, to list just a few. Ross is a consecrated Deacon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, with a specific calling to advocate for LGBTQ people and to bridge the LGBTQ and faith communities.
Tyler and Ross chat about youth ministry, the Lutheran church, God’s pronouns, legislation, and how we can make spaces more inclusive. Listen, learn, and laugh your way to spirituality!
