This week we have a rapid recapedition of Hawk Talk.
We'll be back next week with afull episode featuring our first
of three Chick-fil-A challenges.
We'll get to that in a second,but first I'm very happy to

report for all those followingthe adventures of Mr Ted.
He is back safe and sound.
Ms Snow is so happy to have herbest friend back.
Ted met some amazing newfriends on his adventure who had
no idea that he was involved infundraising.
For those not in the know, mrTed and Ms Snow are teddy bears
that are part of the annualrelay for Lace them Up for Libby
.

We'll start with football.
It was a rough one last Fridaynight.
Despite an early 7-0 leadbehind a Finn Movahill two-yard
rushing touchdown, our Seahawksfell to the Old Mill Patriots
46-7.
The win made it back-to-backvictories for the Patriots.

Meech Jones had a dynamic gamefor Old Mill, rushing for 91
yards and three touchdowns on 12carries.
Old Mill pushed their record upto 2-1 with the win, while our
Seahawks suffered their firstloss of the season, making their
record 2-1.
The JV team played on Mondaynight and also lost to Old Mill
35-0, putting their record at1-2.

Our volleyball team went 1-2last week, with a win vs Severn
Run, 3-0, and then back-to-backlosses, first vs Broadneck, 3-0
and then the Crofton 3-0.
That brings their overallrecord to 2-2.
The JV team also went 1-2 lastweek losses to Severn Run and

Crofton and a win at Broadneck.
Their overall record sits at1-3.
The field hockey team also went1-2 last week.
It was just that kind of week,I guess.
They lost a tough one in therain last Tuesday to Saverna
Park in overtime, won thenothing and then they bounced
back versus Old Mill with a 5-0victory before falling to
Crofton last night 3-0.
That brings their overallrecord to 5-3.
The JV team, after a 2-0 start,has lost their last three games

to bring their record to 2-3-1.
Just to keep in line with therest of our sports, the girls'
soccer team also went 1-2 intheir last three games.
They lost to Saverna Park 4-1,bringing their record to 3-1-1.
And lastly, for our boys'soccer team, we check in with

Last Thursday evening
the South River boys' varsity
soccer team hosted the SevernRun Wolves.
Going into this match, theSeahawks were 1-2-1, but thanks
to sophomore Xavier Hendersonand senior Lucas Sorella and
Daniel Rodriguez, they wouldcome at victorious 3-2,

improving their record to 2-2-1.
Using the momentum fromThursday's game, south River
would improve their record above.500, beating Averna High
School 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks look for theirthird straight win, taking on
Crofton tonight at five.

The boys did in fact
go on the win at Crofton last
night to string together threeconsecutive wins.
We scored twice in the secondhalf at Crofton.
Daniel Rodriguez slotted itpast from a Camille Neville
layoff assist with about three,30 minutes left, and Camille
himself blasted it in from thenet from a Lucas Cirillo assist
about 10 minutes later.

The JV boys lost last night atCrofton 2-0, bringing their
record to 4-2-1.
We have a very full schedulethe rest of this week.
We'll start tonight.
Our golf team is at Crofton at3 pm.
Then at absolutely jam-packedThursday, boys JV soccer will be
at home versus Annapolis at 445.

Jv field hockey will be atAnnapolis starting at 5,
followed by the varsity at 630.
Jv volleyball will be atSaverna Park starting at 5 pm,
followed by the varsity at 6.
Girls varsityball will be atSaverna Park starting at 5 pm,
followed by the varsity at 6.
Girls Varsity Soccer will be athome versus Annapolis in the
stadium at 5, followed by theboys at 7 o'clock.
And then on Friday our footballteam will be at home for a

second consecutive week to faceoff against Annapolis High
School.
Annapolis comes into the gameat 2-1, with a 49-33 victory
over Saverna Park last week.
Get your tickets early.
This should be a packed house.
And then, to end the week, theboys soccer will be away at Bel
Air High School on Saturday.
Jv plays at 4 pm, followed bythe varsity at 5 30.

Important announcement we haveour first Chick-fil-A challenge
of the year.
Homecoming week starts MondaySeptember 30th with the football
game on Friday October 4thversus Northeast High School and
then the dance on SaturdayOctober 5th.
We will be partnering up withChick-fil-A Edgewater for a
challenge of the classesfreshman versus sophomores
versus juniors versus seniors ontotal sales between Monday

September 30th and ThursdayOctober 4th, october 4th.
To participate, just swing byChick-fil-A Edgewater between
Monday September 30th andThursday October 4th and let
them know your class freshman,sophomore, junior, senior.
The winning class will beawarded a grand prize at
