Speaker 1 (01:32):
But I'm not going to bring it up.
I'm not going to bring it up.
All right, we're going to getall into this.
In a' soccer.
We're at 1-3-1.
We dropped games in the pastweek to Crofton, Leonardtown and
Annapolis.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
What's going on?
I'll start with Crofton.
It was a solid game.
We just really can't createlike we used to, but with that
comes injuries.
I've been out with a concussion.
We got our captain, PatrickMitchell.
He's got an issue with his hipflexor and we got another
captain who has an issue withhis Achilles.
That's Luis Parada.
All great players, but we'vejust been struggling early.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
You had a concussion.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Yeah, You're back.
I come back on Monday.
You come back on Monday, butwe're more.
I mean nothing we can do aboutit now.
All we're doing is going backto working.

Against Severna Park Big game.
I don't like Severna Park.

Speaker 3 (02:27):

Speaker 1 (02:34):
All right, here's what Coach Marlin said.
He echoed what you said, batt, but there's still plenty of
season to left to turn thingsaround.
Yeah, to say the least, that'swhat we've got to do.
The girls they're at 4-1.
Yeah, yeah, they had a loss toCrofton and a win over Annapolis
last week.
They got upcoming games, sameas you guys.

(02:55):
Thursday it's Wissapurn Parkand then next Wednesday
Chesapeake Science Park.
What?

Speaker 4 (03:00):
do you know about the girls' team?
They also had a rough startthis preseason, but I think they
also had some tough matchupsand, even as Crofton, that game
ended 1-0, and they playedreally well.
I think they deserve that win, yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
They could have been undefeated.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Yeah, I mean they have a chance to.
That could be their only lossthis year, so Verna Park's a
tough game, but after that Ithink they got a good chance.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
So the girls making a run here, Girls making a run
here.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Yeah, and they only have three seniors this year, so
next year they got even morepotential.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Oh, I like it.
All right.
Our field hockey team three andthree.
They lost two tight ones lastweek to Winston Churchill and
Saverna Park.
What do you know?
What do we know about thegirls' field hockey team?

Speaker 5 (03:36):
They have a good set of juniors.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
They got some good juniors.
I think they have like three orfour seniors, maybe Three or
four seniors maybe.
Three or four seniors.
I've been watching the JV games.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Their goalie's very good.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Goalie's very good.
How's the JV team looking?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
JV looks pretty good.
They lost the tough ones toZaverna Park yesterday, but
they're doing okay, we'll be allright, don't worry about it.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I'm not worried, you're all good.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
We don't have any other games this week, but Do
you want to talk to me?
No, we're at volleyball.
Oh, volleyball.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Volleyball.
I don't know much about it.
We got a lot of seniors thisyear A lot.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
We're filled with seniors, Filled with seniors.
This is supposed to be,hypothetically, this is our year
.
This is our year.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
I think I don't know how many people start, but a
good portion of them are seniorsplayers.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Alright, we gotta bring them back.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
We've been since freshman year.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
And then golf and track.
We know we have a golf team.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
We know we have a track team.
They're actually doing good.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
We're gonna say they're doing good.
We need some more updates.
Alright, now we're talkingfootball.
We sit at 2-0, with a big homeopener win versus Hereford.
Is that what you're saying?
49-14.
Ben Raines threw for 269 yardsand three touchdowns on 16
passes and then we got to giveit up.
For you, jaden, you were theMilitary Bowl Touchdown Club

(05:06):
High School Football Player ofthe Week.
That's a mouthful.
You had three caught passes for151 yards.
Two touchdowns returned tokickoff for 50 yards.
You also returned a punt for 79yards.
Yeah, I like it.
Well done.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Tell us a little bit about some insight give us some
insight um, I mean everybody, everybody knew what we're
getting into this year.
Lots of people coming backshout out xander zach, greg ben,
uh, probably forgetting, oh noone.
Hookers playing, trends, trent's playing, blue's playing.
We knew what we were ready toget into this year.
I think we're going to beat it.
Take it one day at a time, though this Friday.
Yeah, Seed's a good team.

(05:44):
Seed's a good team, so we'llsee how that goes Friday, but I
like our odds.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I think we're on track for my prediction.
Of my prediction I said themost points scored ever by a
South River high school footballteam.
So far, so good, I think.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, we're going to shatter that.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
I like the confidence .

Speaker 1 (06:02):
I like the confidence too.
Alright, now I want to hearfrom you.
Guys are called.
This is the collective groupthat is the student section
leaders.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
What does that mean?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Get the crowd going.
It's our job, it's your job.
Every time there's a flag, youcan't do that.
For example, or every thirddown.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
You just gotta be electric and Jaden, did you hear
them at the last game?

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Oh, I heard them loud and clear.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
I thought you guys did a good job.
We were told we did good.
I think we can do better, ofcourse.
I think we can be ten timeslouder.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
I'm working on the.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
FSU chant it's coming .
I might save it for theplayoffs.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
I think we need more of a Seahawk or something we can
switch it up, of course.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Maybe we could get a 12th man going with Seahawks.
You know Seattle.
Yeah, Could do something there,yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Now let me ask you this If one of you had to be the
Seahawk, who would it be?

Speaker 5 (07:04):
It's me, cindy, 100% Cindy, it's you yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I think you need to do it.
One game.

Speaker 5 (07:10):
I agree, pull up in the Seahawks One game.
Pull up in the.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Seahawks One game Pull up in it.
Should I?
Yeah, why not?
That would be funny.
People would get so excited tosee the Seahawks come running,
like you just come running outof nowhere the whole game in
that suit.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
No, no, you don't have to do the whole game, oh.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
I would say like, maybe like now midway through
the third quarter, oh wow.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Third quarter them.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
You come out midway through the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
You don't tell anyone you're going to do this.
Should I run the field?
Well, we are talking about iton a podcast.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
So people who are in the know, or the people
listening, I'll do it thisFriday, but I think around maybe
two minutes into the thirdquarter you sneak away.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
We got to be up there , right we're going to be up, we
could lead our company.
According to James, we'll be.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
we're going to be up by like 50 at this point.
So I think you go away and then, middle of the third, you just
come running out of nowhere.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
I think we need some really good halftime shows too.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Halftime shows.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
We're kicking.
We're kicking this week.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Hopefully we win that $100.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
Yeah, we're both kicking.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I want to hear more about this.
How long is the field goal athalftime?

Speaker 5 (08:13):
I think it's 25 yards .

Speaker 3 (08:14):
That's a cheap shot.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
We do that Cheap shot .
We got easy.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
We had a winner last week, right.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Yeah, we did.
I think it was Luke.
Yeah, shout out, luke.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
What do you mean?
Like he made it.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
He made it.
He got 100 bucks.
Hopefully they split it.
Wait, 100 bucks for the schoolor for himself, for himself,
wait.
So you two are doing this thisweek.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Yeah, we should probably practice.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I'm trying to win the 100 bucks An idea.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
What if you make it in the Seahawk costume?

Speaker 5 (08:48):
I don't think I'd be able to look at it, maybe up the
money.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
It really depends on how well you can see out of that
costume.
Have you ever worn the head?
It depends on how well you cansee out of that costume.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
Yeah, I don't think you can have you ever worn the
head.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
No, it's just like mesh, you can see out of it yeah
, I mean yeah, what about thefoot?

Speaker 1 (09:00):
All right Now the foot could be good.
Take off the foot.
Maybe you take the foot off.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
Wow, I don't know it's just a thought this week oh
yeah, they did, they were on it.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
I was actually impressed with them.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
And you guys did a good job.
We did a cheer for them, we dida cheer for them too.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
It was synced really well.
Yeah, I noticed that they hadshout-out band.
Shout-out band.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
Yeah, band and the cheerleaders, Cheerleaders were
good Shout-out Carly Mila a diceand it involves the student
section, which was nice.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Alright, tell me more about this.
I saw a giant dice, but Ididn't know what was going on.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
Depending on which number you rolled.
They do like a stunt or liketumbling Like a basket.
I don't know what any of thatmeans.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
You're determining what they're doing based on
rolling the dice.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
Yeah, and like we throw it to the student section
and they just like hit it backand forth.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
I like it I.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
I think we did good.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
I think you guys did a tremendous job.
Our chances were good.
We will do better.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
I agree.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Sky's the limit.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Now, Jaden, what is your opinion here?
What else could they provide toscore even more points for this
team?

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Man, they did great.
I feel like that studentsection last week was better
than any student section we hadlast year.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
I agree Wow.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Honestly like Hoko was pretty good last year, but I
think last Friday topped Hoko's.
I can't wait to see whathappens this week.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
We set the bar.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Set a high bar.

Speaker 1 (10:24):

They are 1A but they get tohandpick their kids because
they're a charter school, sothey kind of just it's kind of
like the private school but inthe public.
But yeah, they got a reallygood kicker, they got an
athletic quarterback that canthrow the ball and they have a
really good running back.
We're going to be prepared, ofcourse, but it's not some easy

(11:43):
game.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
What does the student section leaders have planned
for this game?

Speaker 5 (11:50):

helmets.

Speaker 3 (12:07):

Speaker 5 (16:29):
Show love I think we'll French the Seahawks.
It's fun.
Yeah, we should make it on theclass.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
All right, hawaiian night, hawaiian night.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
Get out there, six o'clock, be there.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
All right, Jayden.
Any other exciting facts forthis game?
The Maryland Seed School.
Maryland seed school A seedschool in Maryland.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
I mean, I think it's going to be a great game.
I think that they're awell-coached team.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Got good players, so it gives us a little challenge
All right, I like it.
It's my home.
All right, ray, you got anybonus content for us this?

Speaker 3 (17:00):
week.
I feel like it's only right wehave to talk about the Chiefs
are having two.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Which I predicted you called it.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
But I think that game also.
I think Kelsey catches thattouchdown.
It's not very close, Could haveRight.
Do we know who they play thisweek?

Speaker 5 (17:26):
I don't know, but Kelsey's on his high horse
because he just got engaged.
He just got engaged TaylorSwift, taylor Swift and him.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Not on his high horse After week one knocked his
teammate out.
Are we serious?
He did run into him, he's outfor at least a couple games.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
His teammate.
Yeah, I mean he is engaged thatTaylor's with.
I mean that's cool, you're setfor life, whatever.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
He is engaged that Taylor's with.
I mean that's cool.
Yeah, you're set for life.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Whatever I'm worried about our commanders.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
I'm very worried about JD5.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
I'm worried about our commanders?
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
I'm thinking the worst.
How are we feeling about ourRavens Jada and Jay?

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Absolutely amazing.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Amazing.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Amazing yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
I mean that first game's tough Take down the
chamber.
That's just our team.
We're out of the loose now thanin the playoffs, like last year
.
So if that's what we have to doto win in the postseason, then
I'm fine with that.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
I agree.
Couldn't agree more.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Couldn't agree more either.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Bill's game was tough , but it happened.
The defense knows what they didwrong.
Marlon Humphrey.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Captain.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Is it a Harbaugh problem?
Does Harbaugh need to be fired?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I don't know, it's questionable.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
He makes a lot of questionable decisions.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I think just having Lamar is really saving him.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
You play against a good Buffalo Bills defense and
you're averaging 9.5 yards perattempt, Lamar didn't do
anything wrong.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
No, not at all.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
No one's pointing any fingers at Lamar.
They're averaging almost 10yards a play and they have
fourth and third to ice the gameand they decide to punt it.
It's ridiculous to me, I agree,I think you should have gone.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
End the game.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
One of the most productive offenses in the
league.
Yeah, I agree, we don't want totake the chance.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
I don't know.
Wow.
Any words on your commanders?
I'm worried.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Why are you?
Don't be so worried, I'mworried.
Lots of injuries.
We didn't have any injurieslast year.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
We've gone through two weeks.
It's all about peaking righttime.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
I'm worried, I'm worried, I have more confidence
in the South River Seahawksgoing undefeated than the
commanders getting into theplayoffs right now.
Stop it.
That's how I feel I got a lotmore than the Commanders getting
into the playoffs right now.
Stop it.
That's how I feel.
Stop it.
That's how I feel I got a lotmore confidence in Jaden than I
do In the other Jaden In theother Jaden right now.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
I appreciate that.
No problem, that's high praiseJaden.

Speaker 2 (19:39):

We'll both make it.
We were the kickers forPowderpuff last year.

Speaker 3 (20:05):

Well, it's different when yougot some pressure on you that
was pressuring enough.
We'll see I don't think we everkicked, though we didn't kick.
Me and Jay will make sure itgets loud for it.

Speaker 5 (20:18):

Speaker 1 (20:27):
And I'll be looking for the Seahawk.

Oh, definitely.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Back in the closet 100%.
How are they going to cleanthat?

Speaker 5 (20:35):
I know Will French was the one that.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Just bring some like the spray, Spray it all out you
just got to eat it I would uselike that

Speaker 5 (20:42):
soccer spray that you put in the cleats.
What about soccer spray thatyou put in the cleats?

Speaker 1 (20:46):
It's going to smell worse than cleats.
It's going to smell terrible.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
But it's going to be great.
It's going to be a blast.
It's going to be good.
