Sitoyo Lopokoiyit is the CEO of M-PESA Africa and Chief Financial Services Officer at Safaricom PLC. A recognised leader in fintech and digital transformation, he oversees M-PESAโs expansion across multiple African markets, driving innovation, strategic partnerships, and financial inclusion for over 60 million customers.
Prior to this role, Sitoyo led M-PESAโs growth at Vodacom Tanzania, transforming it into one of the continentโs most successful mobile money businesses. He has also held senior leadership roles at Safaricom, Chevron, Total Kenya, and Uchumi Supermarkets. Under his leadership, M-PESA has introduced groundbreaking services such as Fuliza and M-Shwari, cementing its position as Africaโs leading digital payments platform and a global benchmark for mobile financial innovation.
