Marianne Richmond has touched the lives of millions for nearly three decades through her beloved picture books that help people share their hearts and connect with those they love. “I write for the unique everybody,” says Marianne. “Our stories are different, and our feelings are a lot the same.” Her newest kids book, The World is Awaiting You, was named Target’s 2024 Picture Book of the Year! Inspired by her own childhood journey with epilepsy, Marianne is passionate about the power of storytelling and creative self-expression to learn, heal, and grow. Her debut memoir, If You Were My Daughter: healing an unmothered heart illuminates how the stories we are born into shape the ones we tell about ourselves and reminds readers we have the powerful permission to choose and embody who we are meant to be. Marianne has recently added therapist to her credentials after completing a masters in clinical mental health counseling. Marianne lives in Nashville with her husband, Jim, and Otis Adventure, their 12-year-old dog who is increasingly un-adventurous.
