Our body will often tell us something is wrong before our conscious mind catches up. One seemingly unexplainable example is a bloated belly or moon face--a condition I've termed, the Cortisol Bloat. Talk about a gut response! Why, and how, does this happen? Simply put, stress disrupts our body homeostasis, which is largely governed inside the gut. Stress interrupts normal gut health, microbiome and digestive functions which causes the bloat.
