(03:22):
It is such a pleasure to haveChristy Sandino with me today.
Did I spell?
Did I say your last namecorrectly?
No, it's actually SandinoSandino.
See, I put some extra emphasisin different places, so that's
really common.
Kristi Sandino (03:42):
Yeah, I, it was
originally a Norwegian name that
had lots of O's and A's in it,and so this is the Americanized
version.
Ah, yes, I can understand that.
Nina Ganguli (03:54):
So, christy
Sandeno, thank you so much for
taking the time to be with ustoday, and I'm going to ask you
the question I ask all of ourguests, which is what is your
definition of healing?
Kristi Sandino (04:10):
Okay, my
definition of healing I like to
start with a breath Part of mypractice.
A breath part of my practice andI think that that is part of my
(04:41):
answer is that when we're Iwant to do air quotes because
it's it can be a heavy word andand I have I went on a big
healing journey myself myselfand came to the other side
(05:11):
feeling like I created a lotmore stress in that process than
there needed to be, and so Iwould love to define healing as
being connected with self.
Being connected with self, beingconnected to how my body feels
(05:32):
in each moment, as much aspossible so that I'm in the
present and interacting withmyself first, before I'm
interacting with the worldoutside of me.
So in my definition of healingwould be connected to self,
(06:01):
connected to that own infinitewisdom that resides within me,
regardless of how I might befeeling.
In that definition of like goodor bad in that moment, the way
we like to say, oh, now I feelgood, so everything's okay, now
I feel bad, so something must bewrong Healing is more just that
(06:26):
state of moment to momentconnection with my own internal
wisdom.
And what do I need most in thismoment?
Nina Ganguli (06:34):
Powerful.
That's really powerful,Connecting to self and what you
need, and I love that.
You said that you know it's notabout right or wrong, or even
good or bad, it's just theinterpretation of where we're at
in any given moment.
And it's interesting.
You also said you know, whilegoing through it, you felt like
(06:55):
you caused a little more stressthan necessary, and then now
you're on this other side and Ican relate to that because I
think something about.
We have to be a certain.
We have to I'm also doing airquotes for those who are
listening in we have to, orshould be, a certain way as we
go through this process.
And the interesting thing iswhat I noticed is you know, even
(07:21):
though you and I could sit inthe same room and receive the
same information, the way weprocess it, the way it's going
to land for each one of us, isgoing to be different.
So you know, I think that'swhere the shoulds are like.
Well, how come this person gotthis?
out of it.
Or you know, I'm seeing thisperson going through a journey
(07:42):
and you know this is where theyare.
And in our journeys we're stillmaking ourselves wrong and it
does get stressful.
It's like meditating right, like you're supposed to meditate
and be quiet, and all your mindis doing is chattering to you
Like shh be quiet, shh Don'ttalk, shh Stop.
Kristi Sandino (07:59):
Yes, and I love
what you just said.
I think that there's just anepidemic of making ourselves
wrong and dissonance in the bodyand takes us out and away from
(08:37):
our intuition and our innerknowing.
I think for a long time I feltthat intuition was a special
skill.
You know, like something, youknow like, oh you know.
When I used to hear, you know30 years ago, someone say that
(08:57):
they were intuitive Ooh, wow.
And now that you know I'vespent time connecting with
myself and really developing myown intuition, I realized that
we're all intuitive.
It's part of the package that wecome with, the package that we
(09:29):
come with, just like you know, being able to see or hear or
taste, to whatever degree eachof us are able to do that.
Not everybody comes with allour senses, but I'm fully on
board.
But I do believe that intuitionis one that we all have across
the board and if it was taughtat home and taught in school, we
(09:53):
would all grow up connected todivine source, to our inner
knowing, to our greatest good, and we could avoid this constant
self-doubt and second guessingand wondering am I doing it
(10:16):
right?
Is this, is this, should I dothis, or should I do this?
Should I do this food?
Or, you know, should I be vegan, should I be keto?
Should I be?
You know, all like in thatconversation can be in any realm
, but that's just an example.
But we're we live in a timewhere there's no shortage of
(10:40):
information on any topic, whichis such a blessing, but if we're
not connected to our innerknowing, it can be so confusing.
Nina Ganguli (10:54):
It's interesting
that you say that and you did
use, like keto or you know, paleo or whatever.
Right, there is no one sizefits all in anything in like you
know, you get a top that saysone size fits all.
No, not true, and I've seen thatin even my own not just my own
(11:16):
healing journey.
You know, spiritually andintuitively and all of that, but
you know, even like when we'relooking at nutritionally, it's
not one and done and it's not adone.
There's never a done.
We're always continuouslygrowing and dealing with those
things that have had us questionwho we are.
(11:38):
Are we worthy, are we enough?
Is am I?
Am I doing it right?
I think that's a question thatruns in everybody's mind is am I
doing it right?
But it is.
What is it that we need to todo right?
And and part of, I guess, thehealing process is getting to a
place of understanding thatthere is no right or wrong, it's
(12:02):
just just an is.
Kristi Sandino (12:04):
Yeah, it's our
own path, mm-hmm, we get to do
our own path and and the onlyway to really, you know, feel,
you know that it's again airquote right, because there is no
(12:25):
right is by moving connected toour own heart and our own light
.
So if we are looking at someoneoutside of us, which is, you
know, of course we all fall intocomparison.
(12:47):
It's completely normal.
And I would never say, you know, oh, stop comparing yourself to
other people, because you knowwe want to minimize that, but
it's just impossible in theworld and think, oh, they're
(13:28):
doing better than I am, or maybemy life should look like that.
Or, you know, I just even thinkof like the magazines I see in
the checkout line of the grocerystore, of like you know, top 10
healthy summer recipes, and youknow it's like, well, I don't
have any.
You know I don't have like atop five summer recipes and you
know just like, well, I don'thave any.
You don't even have like a topfive summer recipes.
(13:49):
You know, I don't know, shouldI have top 10 recipes for every
season?
Nina Ganguli (13:56):
oh my gosh, it's
so true.
I mean just small little thingslike that.
It's this, this, the world thatwe live in, that we we've, that
has been created.
We create some of it.
Some of it's been created forus, you know, in our upbringing,
and I think there's onequestion that keeps coming up,
as I'm as I'm talking to, is howdo we become more connected to
self, like what is?
(14:18):
What do you think that is?
Kristi Sandino (14:20):
is Well, I think
it's through our practices.
So for me, I started withenergy healing.
I meditate, and one of the mostimportant practices I use both
(14:42):
in my life and in my practiceand what I offer clients, is
breath work.
So breath work has been lifechanging for me and and it you
can do tiny little like bits ofbreath work and feel a shift in
(15:03):
your state of being all the wayto in something like holotropic
breath work.
They have sessions that go, youknow, seven, eight hours, but
you don't need to do a seven oreight hour breath work in order
to have monumental shifts inyour state of being and your
(15:25):
connection to yourself and yourintuition.
So for me, as I startedpracticing breath work, I became
much more attuned to my ownnervous system and the state of
(15:46):
my body and I feel like ourbodies are just incredible
sources of wisdom for us andconnection to our intuition.
Many of us think of connectionto our intuition as happening
(16:07):
through our third eye orsomething that kind of happens
up around the top of our heads, but really our body is this
incredible crystalline antennato the world and it is always
(16:31):
giving us feedback and sogenerally, culturally, we're
taught to live from the neck upin.
Especially in western culture, there's so much emphasis on the
mind and intelligence and, uh,what do you think about that?
(16:56):
You know, tell me what youthink, but not people don't ask
as often what do you feel aboutthat?
So, in coming into thisrelationship with my breath, I
(17:30):
came into a much deeperrelationship with my body and
started being able to listen tothe messages and wisdom of my
body.
When my body will alwaystellness and then, conversely,
(18:03):
when my body is feeling good, expansive, warm, soft, you just
start to.
Just by tuning through thebreath into the body and feeling
what's happening, I can startto understand what type of
(18:23):
breath my body needs.
So, whether it's needingsomething more activating to
give me a little bit more energy, to wake me up a little bit, or
if I feel maybe my heartstarting to flutter or my chest
(18:44):
to contract, to say can we pausefor a minute?
I need to take a breath.
Nina Ganguli (18:53):
Really take a,
take a breath.
It's just.
It's interesting Cause I'vedone I myself have done some
experience on breath work and itwas profound for sure, and not
every like, you know, not everyevery session is the same, you
know, sometimes it's crazyprofound release of emotions,
(19:18):
sometimes it's just so calming, you know, really kind of depends
.
I think what you, what you saidbefore about, about you know,
it doesn't have to be six orseven or eight hours, can be
something really small.
You know what.
What can we do, we as a, I wantto say as a collective, because
we're in a highly stressfulworld and it's right now, at the
(19:40):
time of this recording.
We're're super.
The world is just on edge.
There's so much going on, evenfor those who may not feel like
they need anything healing oranything extra, just kind of
interested in some personalgrowth.
What would you suggest we coulddo and incorporate into our
daily practice to make adifference in the state of our
(20:04):
being?
Kristi Sandino (20:07):
Yeah, that's a
great question.
Something I love is I mean, Ialways love things that are
simple.
First of all, we have enoughcomplicated.
We have.
(20:29):
We have enough complicated.
So if, if you're listening tothis at the very even, you know
whether you're listening to thisand you've never done any
breath work before and you notreally you know, knowing maybe
even what we fully mean by thatum, or you've been doing breath
work for the last 30 years, thisis something that is great for
(20:51):
everybody.
If you extend the exhale longerthan the inhale, it's always
going to be calming for yournervous system.
So what I like to do is justmake it very easy Inhale to a
(21:13):
count of four, exhale to a countof eight, and when you inhale,
it's through the nose, and thenexhale like you're blowing out
through a straw.
So I'll demonstrate it once, just so it's super clear, and
(21:36):
then maybe we'll, after Idemonstrate it once, we'll just
do three together so that, ifyou want to follow along, you
can, and this is something youcan do with your eyes open.
You can do this while you'redriving.
You can do this.
This is not some kind of youknow, so deeply relaxing thing
(21:58):
that it's going to take you outof your conscious awareness.
It's just calming the system.
So um, it looks like this I'mgonna have to say something.
Nina Ganguli (22:29):
What the listeners
, the those that are listening,
you know, those that see us.
They can see it, but maybe doyou want me to count when we do
it together.
Kristi Sandino (22:38):
I'm going to
count out loud, I just wanted to
do for those who are watchingjust to be able to see, because
sometimes someone describessomething to me like say
something like blowing outthrough a straw, and depending
on the person I mean I I couldgo into questioning around that
(23:00):
I could be like wait, what, like?
What kind of straw?
What is it?
Nina Ganguli (23:03):
a big straw is a
little straw, you know it's like
okay, so is the straw long, isit short?
Is it metal, is it glass?
Okay, I get it.
Kristi Sandino (23:14):
I just I
personally am extremely visual,
so, um, I like to see things, but of course I know a lot of
people are listening.
So the next three breaths I'mgoing to count while we breathe
together.
So in through the nose, inhaletwo, three, four.
(23:40):
And out through the mouth, two, three and out through the mouth
Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Inhale two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Inhale two, three, four.
Nina Ganguli (24:25):
Exhale two, three,
four, five, six, seven, eight.
Yeah, I'm calm now, which isgreat, and I will share with the
listeners what was goingthrough my mind, exactly what
you said.
What kind of straw?
Oops, I'm not, my mouth is notand I'm like, oh, I'm having a
straw, I'm breathing in a straw, but you know, it did make a
(24:45):
difference, and what I did findmyself doing was like, okay, I'm
having a straw, I'm breathingin a straw, but you know it did
make a difference.
And what I did find myselfdoing was like, okay, well, let
me take enough breath in so thatwhen I breathe out on eight, I
have enough air to last.
Kristi Sandino (24:56):
So that's
perfect because that inhale is
more intense.
To get the full inhale in thehalftime, you are putting more
passion on the inhale and thenyou're slowing the exhale
because if you want it to lastfor eight counts, you've got to
(25:17):
take it a little bit easier, right?
You can't push it all out.
And then you're like, oh, I'mso.
You know, play with it, don'tbe hard on yourself.
And if it feels better to youto do three, six or one, two or
five, 10, however that countfeels for you half, you know the
(25:43):
length in and more extended out.
If you're not making it all theway, you know you're running
out of breath on the exhale.
That's okay too.
Just extending the exhale.
Now, what I recommend to do withthis breath is set the timer on
(26:04):
your phone for an hour and whenthe timer goes off, do this
breath three or five times andthen just press the little you
know, restart on your timeragain so that roughly once an
hour the timer goes off and youget to do this breath all
(26:26):
throughout the day, taking theselittle moments out of your day
to connect in with yourself.
How am I feeling right now?
How is my body?
(26:47):
You know we we get so lost inour heads.
You know, I used to have thesensation of really not even
knowing what was happening in mybody and when I would start to,
in the very beginning of mybreath, practice calm myself
(27:10):
through breath, after a fewminutes of a calming breath,
such as the one we just did, allof a sudden I would start to
notice, oh, I'm really cold orI'm really hot, or like I hadn't
even really been aware of thesensations that were happening
(27:31):
in me or around me.
Nina Ganguli (27:33):
it was so
disconnected so my next question
is because, like we got so likequickly right into
demonstration, I forgot to eveneven ask what is breathwork?
How does it work?
Like, what is it doing to helpus calm down?
Kristi Sandino (27:53):
Yeah.
So I mean, I think it's greatthat we started with a
demonstration, because a lot ofbreathwork is very experiential,
like so many healing practices.
We can talk all about them, orwe can talk all about meditation
, but until you actuallyparticipate in the practice, you
(28:17):
don't feel for yourself what itis.
But it's important to talkabout it, so we will.
But it's important to talkabout it, so we will.
So breath work um, you know, isa huge umbrella word for
consciously controlling the waywe breathe to impact our
(28:44):
physical body, our emotionalbody, our mental body and our
spiritual connection.
That's, I guess, off the top ofmy head, the best.
But breath work, I think, wasmentioned about about 7,000
years ago in yogic text, so it'sdefinitely not a new practice.
(29:10):
It's been around for thousandsof years and more recently, in
the last probably 20 years, maybe even more like 10, years,
maybe even more like 10 therehas been a lot more interest in
(29:31):
studying breath work and itsbenefits and it's been found to
lower blood pressure and improvesymptoms of adhd, to help
people who are experiencingautoimmune issues.
It can be used for focus andconcentration, for relaxation,
(29:53):
for energy.
So there's an incredible amountof benefits to implementing
breathwork in your life, implementing breathwork in your
life, and I mean one of myfavorite uses, even though I've
(30:14):
talked so much about the body, one of my favorite uses for
breathwork is that connection tosource.
Connection to source because aswe do breath work, we can alter
our brainwave states and gointo altered states of
consciousness and we can accessthese beautiful, expansive
(30:37):
states of awareness where wereceive all kinds of intuitive
guidance, divine guidance, messages from our ancestors,
deep downloads of creativity andinspiration.
So the benefits are myriad.
(30:59):
The practice is really thesedifferent patterns of breath and
the key is using them veryconsciously.
So the breath is one of theonly it might be the only part
of the nervous system that bothworks unconsciously,
(31:24):
automatically or that we canalter it with our conscious mind
.
So, like our heart rate.
Well, I think there's probablystudies now that show we can
work with the heart and alterthe heart rate through breath
work, but in the past it wasbelieved that, you know, our
(31:48):
heart does what the heart doesand we, we don't have any
conscious impact on our heartbeating.
Nina Ganguli (31:57):
I know divers are
able to do the free drivers.
They actually alter their.
They slow down their heartrates so that they can dive
longer down.
Kristi Sandino (32:06):
Actually alter
their they slow down their heart
rates so that they can divelonger down and and yeah so free
free.
Divers use breath work.
Um, people in the military usebreath work.
Olympic athletes use breathwork as well.
As you know, just people likeme, just your normal everyday
person who's not, you know, trying to win a gold medal on
(32:28):
the world stage, but would justlike to live in a way where I
feel expanded states of joy andgratitude and freedom.
Nina Ganguli (32:37):
I love that
Expanded states of joy,
gratitude and freedom.

(32:58):
Start your journey today.
So it's so.
It's so funny about those crazythoughts.
You're right, christy.
Like you start paying attentionto more like oh wow, I, I do
this all the time.
Like I realized I create dramain my brain all the time from a
little tiny little thought I'llgo back to something that
happened in the past.
(33:18):
Oh my gosh.
And then this is going tohappen.
And then I have to interruptmyself to be like this is not
happening.
Now, nina, this is like.
Now you're making a whole newscenario.
Like maybe I should have saidthis or I should have done this.
And I'm catching myself a lotmore and realizing how much
angst I cause myself on a dailybasis Cause I'm creating all
these extra dramas.
(33:39):
I'm a drama queen.
I should be.
I should write more.
I think with the dramas Icreate, maybe they can become
some Netflix mini series, whoknows?
Kristi Sandino (33:49):
I think we all
probably have a Netflix mini
series going on in our minds onand off, Probably probably.
With conversations that wecreate with people that actually
usually don't even manifest no,and I'm, you know, I've done
(34:10):
some.
Nina Ganguli (34:11):
I've been in crazy
moods because I've created this
, this whole thing in my head.
And then the person I see inthe next 10 minutes is like why
are you so?
And like I didn't.
I just didn't do anything.
I just walked in the room likeyeah, but I had a whole scenario
with you in my head before yougot here you know I never really
(34:31):
knew, and I think part of youknow we were talking about the
consciousness and and opening upand understanding what that
actually means is what I'velearned anyways over the, you
know, past few years, andspecifically in this last little
while, like it's amped up, iswhat is actually really going on
(34:52):
in here.
I've read a lot of books, I'vedone a lot of work and finally I
think it's I'm in the placewhere I can say to myself stop
that, nina, like stop thatthat's not working for you.
Remember, when we're talkingabout like good, bad, and you
know right, wrong, but it reallytruly, for me it's been
(35:13):
relanguaging it, so it becomeswell, is this way you're
thinking, or what you're doingand the way you're being?
Is it working for you?
Is it getting you the resultthat you want?
Kristi Sandino (35:25):
Right, that's
such a good question.
Yeah, is this helping?
And a lot of times what we'redoing is re-traumatizing
ourselves over and over again inin an effort to get ahead of
(35:46):
all these fears we have insideof us.
And so the the work, whateverpractice you choose to go to, I
think is is whatever gets youback underneath those fears, so
that you can really find outwhat's underneath all of this.
(36:07):
What am I actually afraid isgoing to happen, and and can I
heal the places of thoseoriginal pains, original wounds?
Nina Ganguli (36:20):
I just it's.
That's such a powerful thoughthealing the, the origin, the
root cause, I think it's so it'sso important to do, to be
willing to be open, to do thatdeep work.
And it's not comfortable, likeI've done a breathwork session
where it's been totally cool andI'm like this is so cool and
(36:41):
I'm aware of this and I'm awareof that.
And then I've done one whereit's just holy crap, I wasn't
expecting this to happen whichwas like the release of emotions
, the actual physical feelings,I guess, that come out.
You know the shaking and thetension and stuff you don't even
realize because you know you'regoing through this process.
(37:01):
And I think for those, forpeople who are listening or
watching, to understand healing, like you said at the beginning,
there's it's.
It's an interesting word, butit's, it's a very powerful word
and it's so, it's.
It seems to be like the, the,the word of the days you know
recently, in recent times, aboutgoing through your healing
journey, and but it's, it's,it's a thing, it's, it's not
(37:30):
it's.
I think it's simple right If yougo and you do the things you're
supposed to do, but it's noteasy.
It's not easy to open upyourself in that space and what
I loved about doing breath workand being a being a of the the
journey was I did in a group.
For me, specifically, I did itin a group.
(37:51):
I know people can do them likeindividually and in groups.
I did it in group session andthe most powerful thing for me
that I walked away with asidefrom all the awarenesses and the
things that came up for me thatI thought I had healed quote
unquote air quotes again was theunique I don't know how to say
(38:13):
this frequency maybe of wheneverybody is breathing in and
out at the same time.
And that, just yeah, it's sopowerful to be in in a space
with others and have that.
And even if it's one-on-one,you know, when you're practicing
with you're doing the practicewith another.
(38:34):
I mean, you're you're alsoworking with another person.
You, you feel this thing.
Kristi Sandino (38:38):
I don't know
what to else to call it, but you
feel like a resonance thatstarts to happen, where
everybody's moving into thissimilar frequency and space and
there is a sense of we're allbreathing together and and a
sense of like a rhythm areenergetic beings and and mostly
(39:00):
water, and we, our bodies, behave like tuning forks that
when one person in the roomreleases something they no
(39:24):
longer need or experiences a bighealing, a big gift of
beautiful energy and a morebalance coming into their system
, that that resonates throughthe whole room and everyone
receives it wow, that's, Ididn't even think about that.
Nina Ganguli (39:43):
That's, I loved
what you said.
Like we're tuning forks becausewe're.
I learned something new todaythat we're like we're tuning
forks because we're.
I learned something new todaythat we're like these tuning
forks and because we're water.
Yeah, that that makes so muchsense the ripple effect of it
going across the room, or andjust so that people understand,
you don't have to be physicallyin the same space.
I've also done breath workonline with a group of people as
(40:06):
well, and had a profoundexperience in that space too.
So cause I know you offer it indifferent ways, in different
modalities, are you offering itboth online and in person?
Like, how do you actually offeryour breathwork sessions?
Kristi Sandino (40:21):
So I offer them
mostly online at this point, and
online I do both group work andmy one-on-one work, and
occasionally I do them in person.
I did lead a retreat this lastsummer and so got to be with a
(40:44):
large group of people allbreathing together and it was
just so beautiful and and so I'mI'm hoping to do more, uh,
singular breathwork journeys inperson again.
Uh, and just like you said, nomatter where we are in the world
(41:09):
, when we breathe together, evenif it's online, there is
profound healing and shiftstaking place, and sometimes
being in the safety of your ownhome and knowing that you don't
afterwards have to jump up anddrive somewhere really allows
(41:32):
you to go very deep in a waythat you might not if you, in
the back of your mind, arethinking like, okay, you know my
parking runs out in an hour andyou know I want to beat traffic
and I need to go to the grocerystore, and if you're home, you
get to let go of all thosethings, and I think that I've
(41:56):
noticed a big gift in that forpeople.
Nina Ganguli (42:03):
I never thought
about it that way.
But yeah, I get that Because Ithink there's also for those of
us out there who areself-conscious about what
happens when you're experiencingthe breath work it is.
It can be so many differentthings.
It can be very deep andprofound, it can be joyous.
There's so many different thingsthat happen and I know that I
(42:24):
have in a situation, been inperson, and also been like Ooh,
wow, I don't want to make thelike.
You know you want to like letgo and physically say something
or do something and you seeothers doing it and I was like I
don't want to do that.
But I think that if I was in myown space in that moment, uh, I
would have been more openbecause I could put myself on
(42:46):
mute.
I can't do the work, or youknow.
However, it is that you, youwant to go about doing the work.
So I think it's great that youbrought that up, where you know,
wherever anybody feelscomfortable to, to, to do the
work, and it's so profound.
And I did want to ask youanother question before.
We kind of off our time togetherbecause you're also a reiki
(43:08):
healer, and as am I, but how doyou, or do you incorporate reiki
healing as you're doing thebreath work?
Like what does that look like?
Or there's no other, or likewhat does it actually?
What's it look like when you'rein that situation?
Kristi Sandino (43:33):
You know it
depends.
I know that you practice Reikias well and once you've done it
(44:05):
for a while I know this happensto a you needs Reiki or you know
a pet we learn Reiki.
We also learn distance, distance healing for Reiki.
So, again, you don't have to bein person.
So, whether I'm in person oronline, if I feel the energy
turn on, I just use that as asignal from divine source to
(44:29):
send Reiki energy into the spaceor to the person that I'm
working with.
And again, that can happen overany distance time space.
We can send Reiki without goingtoo far off, into a tangent,
into the past, into the future, into other lifetimes.
(44:52):
So it's really once youunderstand the nature of energy
and that we're shiftingtimelines all the time and that
linear time as we know it onlyexists as a construct in the 3d
and that really we aren'tlimited in any way that is.
Nina Ganguli (45:16):
It's funny you're
saying that and all I'm thinking
about is the last loki showthat's watched.
That's really if you watch anyof the marvel stuff.
Yeah, I'm going to geek out fora minute and watch loki.
That's exactly what he's he'sin right now.
He's in this place where he's.
They're shifting throughtimelines and meeting different
versions of himself.
But I this is a big concept isshifting time and the construct
(45:42):
of linear time and the conceptof 3d and 5d, and, boy, we could
have a whole new other wholeshows upon shows.
But my request is for those ofyou who are a little like okay,
this is a little like, I'm notunderstanding.
I wouldn't really invite you todo some searching and googling
(46:03):
and talking to the people, because if you're listening to
this podcast, you're more thanlikely interested in what we're
talking about, and if it's aconcept that's come up for you
for the first time, I would saylook into it.
The reason I'm saying this meis because I was such a
non-believer.
Woo, woo, this is no, no wayuntil.
(46:25):
Oh, my gosh.
So I started my healing journeyin 2007, but didn't really
understand this part of, likethis part of the healing till
very, very recently, to behonest with you, maybe the last
six or seven years, and the onething I will say is that, in
(46:47):
understanding how energy worksand the shift between linear
time and quantum physics and allof that, for me, gave me
personal freedom.
It's like, oh, I'm not tied toanything.
And you said something aboutsending Reiki healing to the
past and into your past lives, and I believe and I'm assuming
(47:12):
you believe, since we talk aboutpast lives that we keep coming
back and we choose to take onthese lessons and sometimes I
ask myself and I don't have ananswer it's like what didn't you
learn last time?
Why are we doing this again?
Take the time to just inquire, because it is, it is freedom.
I don't know if you felt thesame way when you began to
(47:33):
discover all of like this partof life.
Kristi Sandino (47:37):
I felt like
things that I formerly felt
would be so difficult to changeall of a sudden felt much more
mutable and changeable.
So it felt like like a healthcondition that I thought how
(47:58):
will I ever shift this?
When I started understanding alittle bit more of how people
work in the quantum, it all of asudden felt like I could just
see the path.
Oh okay, I'm an energetic being.
(48:21):
Anything can shift.
I'm not bound by genetics orDNA, like we've been told so
much that, that there are thingsthat we just can't change and
as people are researching theseideas more and more, that will
(48:42):
continue to change as well, thatit will.
As more people see what'spossible, I feel like we live in
an ever expanding universe.
I mean, the universe isliterally expanding all the time
(49:04):
.
So what kind of shifts doesthat create in what's possible
for us as we move forward?
Nina Ganguli (49:14):
It's.
You're right, there's endlesspossibilities, and when we can
begin to take that on like it'sendless possibilities, it's
going to.
Can you imagine if we looked atthe moment in time that you and
I are having this conversation, and what is happening out there
in the world, which I'm notgoing to get into, but it's not?
(49:35):
We don't need to be so rootedin our I'm going to say opinions
, our, our ways of thinking andbeing.
(49:57):
And if we could expand on thatand say, well, it doesn't have
to be this way.
We can change it through ourthoughts.
We can.
We can literally go in andchange the course of history by
changing the way we think, andwe are so powerful and limitless
that we can change thenarrative of the past, present
(50:37):
and future.
Kristi Sandino (50:39):
Yes, and if that
feels very out of reach to you
as you're listening to this, ashort example I would give is
that someone could cut me off intraffic, and there are some
(51:00):
days where it infuriates me.
And there's some days where Ijust gently hit the brakes, move
out of the way and think, okay, yeah, you go first, it's fine.
I don't want to like if you arein that much of a rush, I send
you blessings, I hopeeverything's okay.
And the example there is thatboth times nothing different
(51:29):
happened.
The only thing that wasdifferent was my perspective
that I was coming from.
So sometimes we're shiftingreality just by shifting our
inner state and how we perceivethe world and and that's like a
nice graspable place to startwhere, when so many big things
(51:53):
can be happening in your life orin the world that it feels like
, yeah, but you guys don'tunderstand what's happening with
me.
And I understand that I have somuch compassion for being in
that place and and I just wantto start by saying it's all baby
(52:15):
steps.
So we just look at what ispossible inside of us to shift
first, when we approach ourlives with more peace and more
ease, and look at what we'rebringing to the table from our
own point of view and perception.
Nina Ganguli (52:37):
Beautifully said.
I don't think I want to say anymore than that because it's so
poignant.
You demonstrated that with thatexample so beautifully, and so
I just want to say thank you.
Thank you so much for thisconversation we.
(52:59):
I feel I could talk for hoursand hours and hours.
I know I've enjoyed this timewith you so immensely.
And if you have enjoyed thistime with you so immensely, and
if you have enjoyed this timewith Christy, please do connect
with her.
You can find her on themiracles directory, of course,
and where else can we find you?
Kristi Sandino (53:20):
I am on
Instagram at I am breathing
light with no spaces, and I alsohave a podcast, and you can
reach me on Instagram throughthe podcast at luminous human
school, and there's no spaces inthat either.
(53:40):
So that's probably the twoeasiest ways, and thank you so
much for having me.
Nina Ganguli (53:49):
This is such a
pleasure I can feel energy
through See, you can feel it.
I can feel it through mycomputer screen, okay, take care
