What if life isn't just a series of random events, but a game with rules we've subconsciously set for ourselves? Join Lynne and I as we unravel the intricate web of drama in our lives, likening it to the virtual reality of "The Matrix." Drama, with its allure of dopamine hits, can be both a response to trauma and a shared illusion shaping our perceptions. We explore how this self-imposed construct can obscure our understanding of reality and highlight the privilege of experiencing multidimensional growth as creative beings capable of shaping any reality we desire.

Reflecting on the emotional turmoil witnessed during the devastating fires in Los Angeles, we delve into the complex emotions tied to experiencing trauma from a distance. Despite being untouched by the immediate physical impact, the emotional entanglement and grief were profound, demonstrating the influence of shared experiences. We discuss the role of community and resilience in navigating such chaos and emphasize stepping back to observe from a neutral place. Understanding that change, often accompanied by drama and fear, is an integral part of life's evolution, can empower us to support one another practically and emotionally.

In our journey toward self-discovery, we explore the power of self-awareness and reflection in shaping our interactions with the world. Personal anecdotes highlight how avoiding constant news drama can enhance mental well-being, and we reflect on Viktor Frankl's teachings to draw connections between our reactions and inner selves. Our perceptions and beliefs, reflections of a broader universal energy, are expressions of the same source. By embracing the oneness of existence, we can transform our perceptions, creating a balanced and vibrant life. Join us as we embark on this transformative journey of healing and interconnectedness.

Welcome back to another episodeof Healers Talk Healing.
Today, lynn and I are peelingback the layers of a fascinating

(01:08):
topic drama and its surprisingimpact on our lives.
We're diving into the illusions, pretenses and even the thrill
of being caught up in drama.
Whether it's the gossip, thestorytelling or the dopamine
hits that come with it, dramahas a way of weaving itself into
our daily lives.
We reflect on how this dynamicplays out, why it's so enticing

(01:31):
and how we can shift ourperspectives to move beyond the
allure of drama for the sake ofhealing and growth.
So join Lynn and me as weexplore the deeper truths behind
drama, what it means for ouremotional well-being and how we
can rise above it to live withclarity and intention.
Let's dive in.
So it's so funny because wealways do some preamble before

(01:53):
we start recording and I'm likewhy didn't I just hit record
first?
But as you were talking, I'mgoing to just start it from here
with like am I the drama?
Like, am I the drama?
Like, am I the drama?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
yes, you are that you , you, no, you are not the drama
.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
You are in the um, illusion and the pretense of
being the drama, or in drama, orloving drama, or creating drama
and drama for the sake ofdrama's sake and it's so funny
that you say that because I justrecently realized how much

(02:38):
being in that space, um, likeit's, it's a bit of a thrill
because I saw this real aboutdrama and dopamine hits and
being involved in other people'sdrama or like the whole gossip
thing.
You know, like the gossiping orjust being in drama, getting
reeled into other people's drama, creating your own drama, that

(03:02):
fix that you get in, um, as what?
For whatever reasons they weresaying you know it's a trauma
response, which obviously it canbe, or whatever reason it is,
but what you're saying issomething additional to that
which is it's there's anillusion behind the drama or the
fix of it, or just, you know, for the heck of it.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
And drama itself.
It's an illusion.
So, if you remember the Matrix,I think most of us have seen
the movie at least once, if not15 times, depending on who you
are like me, on who you are likeme.

(03:54):
And so the matrix really wasthe first example in media and
entertainment that alluded tothe fact that everything around
us is illusion, that it's aconstruct, is something that we,
um, create within our mind, that then is projected
externally and everyone thenagrees upon it, and so it
appears real.

(04:16):
that's a construct okay that'sthe construct we live in and
it's not reality.
It is all an illusion becauseit's a construct of what we've
dreamt of, that we haveexpressed and therefore, as a

(04:38):
whole on this planet, agreedupon in various forms and ways.
That appears to hold ittogether and make it solid and
therefore it's real.
But it's not.
It's honestly not.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
It's funny that you say that I was.
I took some personaldevelopment and one of the one
of the distinctions orconstructs that they created for
us is life is a game and lifeis a game and we make up all
these rules and then we forgetthat we made up these rules and
we play like it's like it's thething, like we.

(05:16):
The rules can't change.
You know you, the the constructthat we create is that it is
what it is.
There is no flexibility, thereis no nothing outside of these
rules that we created and thenwe forget.
And also an alignment with whatyou're saying is that it's
empty and meaningless andtherefore the only meaning that

(05:39):
is in life is what you put to it.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yes, and the and what you put to it, yes, and the
reason we have these constructsis because, as beings like

(06:25):
beings period, nothing else as,like beings, the bodies, the
physical bodies that we haveconstructed, the physical world
that we have constructed, areall a means of expressing
different aspects of ourbeingness, giving it some other
forms in which we're able togrow from, in which we're able
to grow from and which we'reable to expand.
And growth does not mean growthas an elevation.
Growth means expansion.
It is not linear, but it isfully dimensional and it's in
its way of being okay.
And we all have the privilege, the blessing of being able to

(06:49):
experience the constructs thatwe're in and that we've created,
and that we have all of thesedifferent ways of growing and
learning and being andexperiencing.
And it's a blessing, becauseit's also a blessing in how we
have made the choice to keepgrowing, to keep expanding as

(07:11):
beings that are part of thewhole.
And when you also think of it inthose terms, there are many
things you can consider that areso phenomenally beautiful in
what has been created.
And, yes, there are things thatmaybe don't appear to be so

(07:35):
beautiful to some of us or thataren't so wonderful and light
and fluffy and whatever BS MissLynn here is speaking, light and
fluffy and whatever BS MissLynn here is speaking.
But even in that, what Ibelieve is important to

(08:07):
understand is that true realityis who we are.
True reality is that we cancreate any construct that we
choose and because we have theability and the power to do that
, we are able to shift, change, transform, which is what
miracles to have happen in ourlife.
Really, that's the bottom line.

(08:28):
There is, however, as we weretalking before we started this
particular conversation or Ishould say we're moving deeper
into continuing the conversationmany people that get a fix get
kind of a high on drama.

(08:51):
I believe that more and more andmore today that drama has been
exploited, has been elevated hasbeen elevated has been fed to

(09:16):
us has been demonstrated to usin ways that keep us hooked
television, news, social mediathat you turn on, that doesn't
have some level of dramasomewhere that's constantly and
continuously in our face, in ourface and there's all the oh.

(09:40):
What's going to happen next?
Oh, are we going to move out ofthat?
Is that going to be better?
Oh, will they get better?
Oh well, I'd handle it this way.
Oh well, this is whatever it isand it makes us experience
feelings that hold us in drama.
Oh, I'm angry about that.

(10:01):
Oh, I'm so sad that that'swhat's happening.
Oh, my God, I feel guiltybecause my life is so much
better.
Oh, you know, whatever it isright, hooked into and that we

(10:23):
hold so tightly onto, that thenkeeps feeding us and beating us.
And, yes, I'm guilty of thesame thing.
There are just some things thatare like oh, I mean, you know
full disclosure.
Yes, I like dark films.
There are specific reasons forthat, which I'll share a little

(10:45):
bit later.
But yes, I do, not only for thedrama's sake, but other things
as well.
But when we are able to take astep back and say, from a real
neutral place, as much aspossible, okay, you know what

(11:06):
I'm separating myself from whatI see or hear or even experience
.
In this moment, let me stepback and I'm just going to be in
this moment, to be in thismoment.

(11:33):
And in this moment I am feelingall these feelings.
But do I have to give thosefeelings action, life and breath
?
You don't have to.
You can make a choice to go.
You can make a choice to go.
I'm not going to give thatfeeling a sense of breath and

(11:54):
life that then festers and growsand festers more and grows more
.
And now I'm expressing it andnow I'm fully in the experience
of it.
And now, now, now, now, youdon't have to do that.
You can choose not to.
I didn't say it was easy, Ididn't say something that's a
cinch.
I'm just saying that we do havethat choice and we have the

(12:14):
power to do that too.
And so when we sit back and wecan really observe from a
neutral place, oh, that'shappening to them over there.
I don't have to get caught upin that, because you know what?
I?
I'm good, I'm taking the kidsto, you know, volleyball
practice, and that's that's.
No, that's not my experienceright now, because in this
present moment I am having adifferent experience.

(12:35):
So when we become neutral likethat, even when we are in some
deep stuff, we can then make achoice, a decision that what we
want to do is elevate ourselvesto a place of what would bring

(12:57):
me the greatest sense of joy inthis moment, now for me, and and
when you move into those kindsof decisions, then there's a
level of reality that comes intoplay that allows you to
experience something different, and the full beingness of that

(13:21):
experience is what is more realthan the bits and pieces of the
construct that we get suckedinto.
I don't know if I'm explainingthis well, but there is a little
bit of a separation there.

(13:42):
So when I saw the fires in LAand living here in LA, many of
the neighborhoods and the areasthat were on fire are places
that I frequented throughout thecity and county of LA, which

(14:03):
included the Palisades, malibu, pasadena, altadena, runyon
Canyon, where I'd go hiking, which is right next, literally
in Hollywood Boulevard, thatalmost had fire.
There's a small fire aroundanother neighborhood called View
Park, baldwin Hills, which wasvery critical because there are

(14:26):
a lot of oil wells up there, sothank God that was contained In
any event.
I'm watching this on television.
The area I live in issurrounded by it.
Yet we were not experiencingwhat other people were
experiencing because, as a basin, the wind would come in and

(14:48):
blow everything out.
So we did have blue skies, wedid have beautiful clouds, we
did have no ash, no smoke, noevacuations, no power outages.
It felt like the twilight zone, but I was completely caught up
in the drama of the fires.

(15:09):
I was watching on televisionand could not turn it off.
I'm watching restaurants.
I frequented places where Iused to go and play and hang out
, places from high school wherewe played the other high school
and we had games there.
You know a lot of my childhoodand also adulthood.

(15:34):
All of these places burning andburning down to the ground, and
what I was experiencing in allof that was so much grief and
sorrow.
It's like, oh my God.
I felt like the history withinmy life was completely gone and
just done.

(15:55):
And how could I recover fromthat Now?
I did not lose my home.
I did not literally experiencemore viscerally what so many did
, that.
I know who did lose their homes, who did have to evacuate, who,
as a result, a couple of peoplenow have asthma because of the

(16:19):
extreme air quality condition, Ididn't experience that I could
empathize with them.
But when I made a choice afterwatching this happen over four
days where it was most intense, watching this happen over four

(16:40):
days where it was most intense, and I finally said I'm saturated
, I have to turn this off, Ican't.
I can't.
I can give money to people thatI love and know and help them.
I can give so many things Ihave in my house that I don't
use, don't need, and even if Ido, they need it more at the
shelters.
I was able to do those things.

(17:01):
But what I discovered in thatmoment is that I was so caught
up in the drama of what washappening and moving into that
feeling of the victimhood tosuch a deeper extent that I
realized at that present timewait a minute, all of this will

(17:27):
be rebuilt.
What happened in the past canbe re, not experienced, but
remembered through things thatwe did then, through photos that
were taken.

(17:47):
If we have those through, youknow people that are still with
us that we could talk to andconnect with, and that the
actual illusion of all that, ofwhat was the drama and what
people had to experience andwhat they were going through,

(18:07):
was still something that, asspiritual beings, we could
completely create a newconstruct together in such a
dynamic way that would serve allof us even better, even in
higher ways, even in moreuplifted and sustained ways.

(18:28):
Right now, yes, we're still inthe middle of all of the upset,
because anytime there's change, there's upset, and change also
causes drama.
We go into it in a differentway.
Oh, I'm scared, or whatever.
It is Okay.
Nonetheless, what's real isenergy.
What's real is how energy doescontinue to change, does

(18:53):
continue to morph, does continueto form in various ways, and
sometimes it's chaotic, andsometimes it's chaotic and
sometimes it's harmonious.
But if what we can do is learnhow to master the fact that, as
powerful spiritual beings, wehave the ability to literally

(19:19):
construct and come into aharmonious, unified agreement to
create something more expansive, more beautiful, higher
elevated from love with lovetogether, then what was the past

(19:41):
was simply that stepping stone.
Think of it as being like thethird grade, and now we can move
to the fourth grade.
Now we can step to the nextlevel of growth, the next level
of our evolution, the next levelof our expansion.
Right, that's what's real, notthe drama that we tend to get
caught up in.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
So how do we?
You know we have to begin tolearn how to do that right.
And you know you and I are inthis conversation, so it's a
little bit easier for us to takeourselves a little bit and be
like, oh, I see I'm, I'mcreating drama or, you know, I'm
allowing the drama to somebodyelse's drama to infiltrate my

(20:22):
energetic field.
But when we have people who arenew to this conversation and
that ability to be like, okay, this is not, you know, not my
monkeys, not my circus, kind ofthing, how do you begin?
What's the first step to beginto say this is, this is not my
drama, this is not my circus, not my like, this is not mine.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
So this is piggybacking a little bit on
another conversation we had inreference to connecting with how
you choose to express yourself.
And then what do you choose toin that moment, think about or

(21:05):
do perceive?
Even if other people thinkyou're in la-la land, well, we
are in la-la land in LA.
But if you're in la-la land, that just by the thought of it,

(21:26):
just by the action of it, justby the perception of it, just by
hearing the words, readingwhatever the affirmation or
motivational piece is, whateverthe affirmation or motivational
piece is, shifts us justslightly where, it's like for a
half a second, I felt better.
I felt like there was a lightand there was hope.

(21:53):
When you can begin to identifywhatever that is for you because
for everyone it's somethingdifferent when you can begin to
identify it, then you can andyou hold that vibration just for
a little bit.
It's a frequency, it's afrequency vibration.
When you can hold thatvibration just for a little bit,

(22:15):
then you may sink back towherever you were, you know
previously and you'll be in thatfor a moment.
But as soon as you can exhaleand read, listen, perceive, pay
attention to have a thoughtabout, to elevate you again,
attention to have a thoughtabout to elevate you again.

(22:38):
It's like, little by little bylittle, that's how you can start
the process, and I actuallybelieve that meditation is one
of the most fundamental ways inwhich it can allow you to move
there a little bit faster.
It may not seem like it.

(22:59):
We live in an instantaneousworld because, you know, let's
face it, with technologyeverything happens, not even now
.
But it already happened, youknow, two seconds ago, and so I
expect it to happen five secondsago now so I can experience it.
Boom, bam, bam.
Okay, meditation may take alittle bit longer than that, but

(23:20):
nonetheless it's a very fasterway of being able to start
shifting the thinking, theperspective, the awareness and
those sorts of things, so thatwhen you find yourself in any
level of drama and I will say,any feeling you're experiencing,

(23:42):
that feels yucky and nasty andI don't like it and I don't want
to feel this way.
That's the moment that you knowthat there's an aspect of drama
you're caught up into and soshift it, even if that means
taking an answer to yourquestion for the brand new
person.
Stop, count to 10, and justbreathe.

(24:06):
That's all.
Count to 10 and just breathe, and you may think to yourself
this isn't doing any good.
I don't even know why she'ssaying that.
Okay, count to 10 and breathesome more.
And count to 10 and breathesome more, until you move into a

(24:30):
place where you have shiftedand been able to calm all of
this stuff that's whirlingaround you down.
Calm all of this stuff that'swhirling around you down.
Then, from that place, you cantake a step back and say okay,
what decision do I need to make?
What do I need to do?

(24:50):
What have I learned from this?
How do I proceed?
Whatever questions you need toask yourself in order to then
take the next step, and that'show you begin creating your new
construct.
Does that make sense?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Yes, so here's what I got out of that right.
There is a moment where youneed to interrupt yourself for a
second.
There needs to be aninterruption of who do I want to
be or what do I want to expressnow?
Do I want to express the anger?
Do I want to get wrapped up inthis?
Do I want peace?

(25:26):
Do I want, like, what do I wantin this moment?
And you know, I know that, youknow I'm not experiencing the
impacts of the fire.
I'm here in Canada, but I canremember a time a few years ago
when the whole world wasexperiencing that kind of the
fire.
I'm here in Canada, but I canremember a time a few years ago
when the whole world wasexperiencing that kind of drama
and you know, and what differentpeople did in order to step

(25:48):
back, like I remember my husbandgetting so wrapped up and CNN
was on all the time and I was.
I was not in the space becauseI'd already stopped watching
news even before.
I was not in the space becauseI'd already stopped watching
news even before COVID hadhappened, and so I watched the
drama unfold and you're watchingthe people around you who are
in there.
So I made a choice a long timeago to not be involved in that

(26:12):
drama because it wasn't servingme, and so I was still informed.
I mean, there was information.
I needed to make safe decisions.
But when he also stoppedwatching it, when he started
realizing the impact that it washaving on him, he made a
different choice and a differentdecision so that he could every
day be okay with the fact that, hey, he has to still go to work

(26:35):
.
Yeah, yeah, those people whodidn't get to work from home, he
need to get up in the morning, get ready and go to work.
And so he made a decision thatI am not going to, you know,
wrap myself up in the dramathat's that was being created,
and I think it's important forus that, yeah, and he's not like
he's, he's not in ourconversation.

(26:58):
When he's, I mean he's, he's ina different conversation and
that's fine, but the herecognized for himself.
This is not who I want to be,this is not exactly I want to
make, and that's what makes adifference.
It's for every little thing thathappens in life is the
interruption of if you don'tfeel like things are the way you

(27:19):
would like them to be, one ofthem like, okay, you accept that
it is what it is, and theinterruption to say I'm going to
make a different choice in howI feel about this right now.
Yes, I think that's, that's thekey and that's the gift that
has been given to us by theuniverse, which is free choice.
And you know having like whenyou read things, like you know

(27:43):
victor frankl and you know themancer for meaning, and it's
literally he's in aconcentration camp looking for
something that can bring him joy.
Or, yes, he can choose hiscircumstance to say this is the
worst possible freakingcircumstance and I'm just gonna
let myself physically, mentally,die.
And you get that choice.

(28:06):
And I think that's.
That is when I hear you talkabout the matrix I've only seen
each one once.
But when you talk about theconstruct and what we create,
yes, we are creating.
People are living their lifeoutside of me right now, but I
don't know what they're creating.
I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Right, right, although, yes, it is, although
there are certain things that wedo agree to on a whole.
They're called moral values andhow we treat one another and
how we interact with one another.

(28:47):
Some people choose a differentset of their own moral values,
but nonetheless there's still alevel of agreement.
You know that happens there, but even that's part of the
construct.
Even if we are not verydirectly involved with it,

(29:17):
there's energy in and of itselfis always operating on a whole,
so that everything is reflective.
Everything is absolutelyreflective in someone else or in
something else, or whateverexperience you're having.
It is reflecting something backto you what you think about

(29:39):
that, what you feel about thatsituation, what you are judging
about him or her or them, orthey are judging about him or
her or them or they.
Is reflecting literally back toyou something in reference to

(30:00):
yourself, and as it does, youare the one that has the
opportunity to go oh, I don'tknow if I like that so much.
And then you, and then yourecognize am I really like that
or is that how I used to be?
And I can see it so clearly nowBecause I don't like that.

(30:25):
If that's not what I am, ifthat's not what, if that is what
what I am like and I just Idon't approve of it.
I don't approve of it.
Hmm, maybe that's an aspect ofmyself that's important for me
to shift or change or dodifferently.
And so, for everything we can,we are built.

(30:51):
And again I'll say, we have thepower and the ability to see it
, perceive it, experience itdifferently.
That is our greatest power andgift and that is reality.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
If we could understand as a collective that
it is an inside job frombeginning to end.
When you say my life, it is themy in your life.
It is like I say this a lot youare the you in your life.
There's other people who arethe them in their lives and

(31:27):
intersect.
You know our energy fields areintersecting and intersect.
You know our energy fields areintersecting.
We have that collectiveagreement about how we're
supposed to be in societies, depending on what society that
you're in.
That also has been createdsomewhere.
Somebody created that, and Ishowed up in the world.
I agree, I agree, okay, or Iwas.

(31:48):
This is what we've agreed to,and that game that you do plus
you make up your own rules, thatthat you agree to.
When you can harness the power, cause it is so powerful, when
you get oh, wait a minute, well, that person is, I'm getting
triggered by the way they'rebehaving.
What is that saying about me?

(32:10):
And man, it's hard because Ihave those conversations.
I never had those conversationsbefore.
Before it was a them problem, you know.
But to look and say what is itabout them that is having me
feel this way.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Well, here's the real tricky thing, if you want to go
even deeper into that.
Is that?
Them?
Is you?
There is no separation.
There truly is not.
All of us are light beings.

(32:51):
As light beings, we are all thelight.
And when you think about light,I'm trying to think of an
example.
But when you think about lightand you have one bright bulb
here and another bright bulbhere, where does one end and one
begin?
Here and here and here, and allnext to each other, them, ooh

(33:19):
is me, because my light isreflecting so expansively, their
light is reflecting soexpansively.
Could it be that we're all inthe same pool, that we are all
the same in the same water?

Speaker 1 (33:31):
no, absolutely that's , that's my human.
They're like no, yes, but Iunder.
I do understand what you'resaying, that that is it is.
It is a challenge because thatwith great power comes great

(33:54):
responsibility always.
And to say that, and I'velearned this lesson and I keep
learning it, because I keep, Ithink, expanding and elevating
in the lesson, which is theresponsibility I have for my own
thoughts, feelings, whateverthey are.
And when people show up in mylife and be like okay, okay, if

(34:17):
we are all one and we arereflections of one another,
there's something about thatthat's I'm not okay with.
And then where do like?
It's so easy to say that's you.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Right, but it's not, it's you.
Yeah, now you having thisconversation with me, I'm like,
ooh, there's some things I needto work out, but you know,
because you, you and that's whatI mean by everything that you
experience and that's around you, and then part of the five
physical senses, and all of thatis a reflection of you.

(34:54):
It never is anyone else, it's,it's just a reflection of you
and so.
But we choose to be in theillusion of it being someone
else or a they problem orwhatever the case may be,

(35:14):
because it's easier for us tocontinue to operate in this
construct again, which is alsoan illusion, but it does help us
to continue to expand, toevolve, to grow and to stretch,

(35:35):
and so that's why we have allthese little pockets and what
appear to be differences, sothat we can continue to elevate.
It's no different than havingBarney.
You know, when you're a littleitty bitty kid, I remember my
kids watching Barney, and Barneywas always professing how you
just need to love yourself andyou're okay just the way you are

(35:59):
, and it was that same messageover and over and over again.
Of course, it came out of anera that had a lot of change and
turmoil and transformation, andI'm saying now, really from the
World War I through to the 80sand 90s, when Barney came on the

(36:21):
scene, where now everybody'sokay, because before nobody was
okay.
You know, if you did notconform to society exactly the
way you're supposed to, you havethe problem, you have the issue
.
You are no good, you la la, la,la, la, la la la la.
Well, okay, that was thatparticular construct, and so

(36:42):
that helped introduce Barney, who says you're okay, you're
loved just for who you are.
Blah da, da, da da.
And that is true.
You are a unique human beingthat has much to contribute
because of your uniqueness.
What I have seen energetically, what I know for myself to be

(37:07):
true, is that we all possesspretty much the same traits,
from the lightest of light towhat we may consider to be the
darkest of dark.
But we each individually if youwant to use that term now

(37:28):
expresses it, shows it, believesin it, and however we're going
to live that, whether we'regoing to choose to live from a
place that's the light, fromwhatever our perception is of it
, to a place of dark, whateverour perception is of it and
here's the real kicker and andand energies that are not

(37:53):
necessarily for the good of thewhole.
Okay, see themselves as beingtotally in the light.
They don't see themselves asbeing in the dark?
Yeah, right.
So then, really, who is in thelight and who is in the dark,
who's to say?
But we all reflect what weexperience, what we see, what

(38:18):
our beliefs are and ourperceptions are all these
different things.
And so, when we were, when wewere taught, or during that time
of, I say, the Barney era, whenwas that?
No, I don't know, whatever itwas, I get all the different
generations, they're all kind ofcrowding in on each other, but

(38:42):
from that place, everyone wasunique and everyone was
beautiful and everythingEveryone's great and so forth.
And yes, that was a way tobring more elevation, more
expansion, more acceptance.
Really, it was about bringingacceptance of all energy into

(39:05):
play.
We're now moving into a placewhere it is a higher vibration
of we're all truly one in thesame and one in the same meaning
, expressed in different ways.

(39:25):
I can understand that, and howwe choose to express ourselves
is our decision Individually andcollectively, in a group.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
I understand that from this perspective it might
be a little strange, but Iremember.
So my dad was born a Hindu andhe would explain to me that
Hindus have like a milliondifferent deities, so many of
them, and he would say to me andit is somewhere written
somewhere too that all they werewas the manifestation of one

(40:03):
energy, which is Brahma.
So if there's Durga and Krishnaand Saraswati and I don't
remember, remember all of themand Kali that they literally are
just a reflection of a piece ofenergy from the main source.
And so what I'm hearing you sayis that if we can understand

(40:27):
that we are from the sameenergetic source, which we, some
people, call it God, theuniverse, they see it in many
different ways.
Knowing that and stepping outfrom those, it's easier to see
that, oh, you are a reflectionof me, because we're from the
same source, we're made up thesame piece of river, so to speak

(40:49):
.
You know, know, we're all waterand you know, some water looks
blue, some looks murky, somelooks but water.
So because I'm trying to likeI'm, I'm thinking about a
situation that I'm dealing within my life with, with somebody
and I'm like, okay, well, iftheir way of being is not

(41:10):
sitting with me, then what'sthat saying about me and what's
that saying about them?
And you know?

Speaker 2 (41:20):
So you would first ask what is it about that
situation?
That is most challenging for mein the way that I see it or
think about it or believe it tobe.
So that's the first question toask.
And then, when that question isanswered, you ask whatever the

(41:41):
next question is that makessense to take you a little bit
deeper down that trail?
And so, yes, I think the waythat you just described it is a
very perfect description.
I have studied various religionsand different spiritual
modalities and there's truth andreal essence that goes through

(42:04):
all of them.
Each one is perceived and thenpracticed based on belief
systems and experiences thatpeople have.
More specifically is where wemake the separation between
light and dark and say, oh well, that's dark over there because

(42:27):
I'm in the light.
Oh no, I'm in the light.
Oh no, I'm in the light, you'rein the dark.
That's where it becomes, butit's still an illusion.
It's not what it is.
So when you say the river andsome of it is bright, beautiful,
blue or the water some of it'sbright, beautiful blue, some is
a little murkier, and as youwere speaking, I was saying,

(42:49):
well, that's because the aspectof the water, although formed to
look like water is reflectedwhen it comes to the dirt and
the trees and the naturalenvironment around it, the rocks
and so forth, and so it's goingto lend itself to having the

(43:15):
energy of the water or theappearance of the water look
different.
But is it any different?
Water?
No.
And is the landscape that'saround it any different or
separate from the water?
No.
The landscape might be reallygreen where the trees aren't
meeting the water and the sun isable to give it its brilliance

(43:37):
and the soil its nutrients.
And then you just go a few feetdown and it looks a little bit
more soft and not quite asbrilliant in color, perhaps, or
whatever the case may be right, because the water is meeting it
in that place, but does it makeit any less magnificent,

(43:59):
wonderful, and have the essenceof the naturalness and the earth
around it?
And even though water is fluid, fluid and the earth seems to be
more stationary or stabilized, these energies still are able to
mix, intermingle, change, evolve, shift, and they're still

(44:23):
a reflection of one another invarious ways.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
There's no separation , and I think there's no
separation, and I believe thatthis is something for us each
individually to ponder wherewe're at in this, in this
station, for there's people whoare further along in the
conversation than I am andpeople who are just stepping
into the conversation, and Ihope we've really given you, the
