This week, I’m joined by my longtime friend and colleague Rob Norton, MPT, ATC—Clinic Manager for Athletico Physical Therapy here in Fort Wayne. Rob is a New Haven native who I’ve known for many years, and we’ve shared countless patients back and forth, working together to help people find relief and recovery.
In this episode, we dive into the history of physical therapy and where the profession is headed, including the growing potential for PT to transition further into outpatient orthopedic care. Rob shares his own career journey—from 11 years at Indiana Physical Therapy, to a decade at Orthopedics Northeast, and now to his current leadership role at Athletico.
We also discuss:
📖 Rob’s 2005 book Next Generation Golfer and his passion for performance and rehab in sports
🦠The impact of Covid on patient care and some of the most recent studies that have come out
🤝 The synergy between chiropractic care and physical therapy—and how collaboration benefits patients
This conversation is packed with insight for both professionals and patients. Whether you’re curious about the evolution of PT, the relationship between PTs and chiropractors, or just want to hear Rob’s incredible story, this is a must-listen.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
