Dr. Cyril Barch is a retired internal medicine and geriatric specialist who has decided to devote some of his time in retirement to encouraging people to put Advanced Medical Directives in place. AMD's are documents that instruct a medical team on what to do and not to do if you are medically incapacitated and can't make your own decisions. This document can help alleviate stress from family members and loved ones because you have pre-determined what will happen in this horrible situation. So many people don't know this type of document exists and just as many avoid the topic because it is unpleasant to talk about. But Dr. Barch is working to open those conversations, provide free resources and encourage businesses and teams to talk about this very important topic.
