Curse you Diet Culture!  When you are solely focused on your weight you will build up a lot of negative self talk and bad habits.  

When we focus on solely losing weight, we can become fixated on the numbers and our bodies. This doesn't create freedom, but keeps you stuck in a diet cycle. And it definitely doesn’t serve for a positive mindset.  Life should be about being healthy and abundance.

 On the other hand, I’m all for the body positivity movement…BUT…it’s a double edged sword.  There’s the argument “If you are really happy in your body why do you want to lose weight?”  In our society and on social media, it feels women can’t win.  Instead, I like to focus on what you want to be, do, and have as a result of health/weight loss.  Want to be a healthy parent for your kids and an example? Or maybe you want to KNOW you could pass weigh ins!!  Your “why” should not give you guilt, it should be innocent motivation. It’s ok to want to be more healthy.

Focus on your health to reap all the “side effect benefits.”  THIS is how you lose weight but not be a hot mess about it!  Focus on the small habit you want to improve over time.  And if you need a cheering section…I’m here for it!  There are multiple ways I can support you…I’d love to chat or see you in “Healthy Habits, Healthy Life!”
