This section of the passage contains a few different elements. It begins with the three men looking out over Sodom as Abraham sees them off. Then God has an internal debate with himself whether or not he should tell Abraham what he’s planning on doing. He decides to and reveals that he’s going to visit and check out Sodom because he’s heard That it is an evil and sinful place.
