Katie Kamala Haley is an author, award-winning independent filmmaker, and expert in medicinal plants and holistic healing. She is the author of A Diamond for India: Myths, Magic, and Medicine – An Aromatic Journey with the Healing Plants of India and Messages from the Medicine: Mother Ayahuasca Speaks, two works that explore the wisdom of ancient plant medicines across cultures.

With a background in holistic nutrition, aromatherapy, and integrative therapy, Katie has spent decades immersed in the healing traditions of India and the Amazon. Her firsthand experiences with sacred plant medicines—Ayahuasca, San Pedro, Mapacho, Cacao, and Coca—inform her work as a writer, photographer, and ceremonialist.

She is also the founder of Pineapple Peace Garden Inc., a nonprofit learning garden in Central Florida focused on sustainability and community wellness. Through storytelling, film, and education, Katie bridges ancient wisdom with modern consciousness.
