Hi, I'm Camille Battaglia withHeavenly Hookups Podcast.
And I just wanted to check inwith you and share a message
that's been burning on my heart.
It's just a quick littlemessage, but I thought it might
encourage you.
My pastor brought this up theday after Christmas, and I just
thought you might be interestedin this as well.
And the question is, how do wekeep Christmas going throughout
the year?

(00:21):
Many believers and unbelieverslove Christmas, and they love
the lights.
They love the giving and theylove the music, well all of that
represents Christ.
The lights represent Christ.
The giving is something thatwe're called to do anyway, we're
called to love.
We're called to serve and togive.
And there's no reason we can'tdo that throughout the year.

(00:43):
And the music is worship we werecreated to worship.
If you listen to joy to theworld, the Lord has come that's
worship music.
And there's no reason we can'ttap into that every single day
and feel that Holy Spirit love.
And so I just want to remind youto try to keep Christmas going
throughout the year, regardlessof what's happening around you.

(01:06):
If you need some great music tolisten to, and great artists,
Phil Wickham, and Brandon Lakefrom The Messengers, the Chosen
it's just incredible! And theyhave a playlist and you can
watch it.
It's just amazing.
And you can tap into their holyspirit anointing just feel the
presence of the Lord.

(01:26):
And just anytime things are alittle chaotic and a little out
of control, you can just stop inthe middle of your day and take
a praise break.
Take a praise break severaltimes a day and you'll be amazed
at how much better your day is.
I just started doing this acouple of weeks ago and it just
made all the difference in how Ifeel throughout the day.

(01:48):
I don't end up carrying allthese burdens.
I just suggest that you mightwant to give that a try to help
keep Christmas alive throughoutthe year.
I also want to share with youthat there've been many years
where I had a New Year'sresolution, that I was going to
read the Bible this year, butthen that was the one that I
always seem to fail at.
And it's because I started atthe beginning and I didn't know,

(02:10):
I didn't know where to go.
I couldn't understand it.
It wasn't clear to me so I justwant to give you a couple
suggestions in case you'remaking that a New Year's
resolution this year that youcould start in Psalms that's
where David wrote worship songsto the Lord.
There's Psalm 91 you might befamiliar with and Psalm 23 is

very popular.
Then there's Proverbs which isDavid's son talking about how to
live your daily life.
You'll probably recognize a lotof phrases in there and you'll
see that they come from theBible, but it talks about
practical ways about how we'resupposed to live.
And then there's Isaiah has avivid picture of the coming

(02:53):
Christ.
Isaiah 61 talks about the crownof beauty for ashes, for the
oppressed.
Then you could also go to Luke 2where, the beginning happened
with Jesus being born.
You can go to Mark, Matthew andJohn as well, Ephesians is very
encouraging.
So you don't have to start atthe beginning.
You can start in these differentplaces.

(03:14):
And I'd just like to suggestthat you just marinate on it.
You just look at one verse andyou just chew on it, you absorb
it.
It's not a novel that you haveto race to finish.
It's not a school project whereyou have a deadline, but just
enjoy it and try to receive whatGod is trying to say to you.

(03:34):
And if you're still not hearingit, just ask the Lord to open
your eyes, your heart, and yourears to hear properly and he'll
help you.
He'll help you.
And you'll see that this is aliving breathing word, and
you'll start to feel it, and itwill give you peace and
understanding and direction.

(03:55):
I just want that for all of you.
If you're thinking I'm a sinner.
God's not going to help me.
He's not going to listen to me.
You have to understand that Paulwas a murderer and he wrote most
of the new Testament and thenJesus saved that last soul on
the cross before he died and hewas a thief.
So if God can use those two men,how much more can he use you?

(04:17):
So there's nothing that Godcan't save and there's no person
he can't save, God so loved theworld he gave his only son in
John 3:16.
He loves you.
He knit you in your mother'swomb.
(Psalm 139.13).
I would be remiss if I didn'tmention Genesis 1 where God made
man in his image, he told him tohave dominion, to be fruitful

(04:41):
and multiply.
There are so many great placesto dig into the Bible and I hope
you find them captivating andnourishing.
Don't you think you owe it toyourself to find out if Jesus is
real or not?
