Are you feeling misaligned despite following all the "right" steps toward your goals? This powerful conversation unveils why your internal guidance system might be in conflict with your logical mind – and why that inner voice deserves your attention.

Most of us approach life with traditional goal-setting: identify targets, create plans, prepare for obstacles, and set timelines. But what if fulfillment comes not from pursuing external achievements but from developing our character first? Drawing on video game analogies, we explore how focusing on leveling up our "attribute bars" – patience, honesty, obedience, and other divine qualities – prepares us for the roles we're truly meant to fill.

Unlike conventional wisdom that prioritizes hustle and grind, this approach suggests that God opens doors only when we've developed the character necessary for what's next. By systematically addressing character flaws and growing into our "heavenly human" potential, we not only find personal fulfillment but become Ambassadors of Hope in a world that desperately needs it.

If you're at a crossroads or feeling called to something deeper, this perspective might be the missing piece that transforms your relationship with purpose, ambition, and spiritual growth. Ready to level up your character and discover where your fully-developed 99-point attributes might lead you?

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Man, I feel like this is a dope yes, and episode to
piggyback just how I've beenfeeling internal guidance system
and how sometimes it conflictswith your logical mind, but you

(00:33):
got to follow it to reach yourdreams.
Let's take a listen.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
You have an internal guidance system and, like I
think that might be part of whya lot of people feel
misalignment, is because theirinternal guidance system is like
leading them somewhere else andtheir logical mind is saying
nope, nope nope.

(01:00):
And, like that guidance systemis going to keep after you until
you make some changes or untilyou make some bold choices.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
It's because my framework, or the agreements
that I've made with God on how Iam going to step into a better
version of myself to be readyfor what's next, conflicts with
the traditional hustle, grit, grind, go after a thing to reach

(01:42):
fulfillment.
And so let me unpack this alittle bit.
So one of the biggestchallenges of understanding that
I have with other humans, whenwe just talk about life in
general, is their approachversus my approach.

(02:06):
Again, their approach is notright or wrong.
My approach is not right orwrong.
It's just what fits for usindependently.
But typically the approach ishere is my goal and my goal is a
mile away.
Here is my goal and my goal isa mile away, and I am going to

(02:33):
prep and plan to reach this goal.
That is a mile away, and whenthese challenges come up, I have
already built Certain responsesto respond to these challenges
and I expect to reach this goalthat's a mile away in two years.
And like that's very standardgoal setting behavior and in

(02:57):
conversations that I've beenhaving, I've been sharing that
I've spent the majority of mylife opting into those
traditional goal settingstandards, but I've made a
choice to completely shift myapproach and it looks more like
this.
It looks more like me evolvinginto the character, the avatar,

(03:30):
like.
Like when I think of a videogame, it's just like yo build
your creative character first, level up your attribute bars.
Meaning, typically in a videogame it's like some fighting
game and it's like what's yourspeed, what's your power, what's
your defense?
Right.
But for me it's what is yourlevel of patience, what is your

(03:57):
level of obedience, what is yourlevel of honesty, what is your
level of right?
And so for many years I feltlike my attribute bars were
somewhere between 80 and 90.

(04:18):
I felt like I did a really goodjob of key qualities that align
with good guy characters.
But in these last three years Iwas like oh okay, god, I feel
like you're not calling me to gopursue something external.
You're molding me and you'rechallenging me to grow those

(04:40):
divine attribute bars.
So they are as close as I canget to 99.
Right, right, like all of thoseCharacter bars that had some

(05:01):
glaring flaws IE my selfishnessbeing one I needed to work on
those things and reconcile thosethings.
So they were somewhere near the99 percentile.
And if I continue to endure andbuild those character bars, so

(05:25):
they are all at 99, or as closeas God needs them to be for me.
Then Then the assignment, theseat the role that needs a
character needs an avatar to sitin it that has all 99s across.

(05:46):
Well, that seat would just beavailable.
Right?
It's like you know, this gameis me versus me.
Right, it's like you know, thisgame is me versus me.

(06:07):
And every day I need to drop agrain of healthy sand into these
attribute bars until I get toninety nines across the board.
Like I hope that makes sense, like I have to say no to so many
things that are good, becauseI'm doing my best to grow my
character into something that'sgreat.
And once I become that greatcharacter meaning all the things
that are unseen when I stepinto that role that God has

(06:29):
designed for me, I will be ready, I will be fully equipped.
So the reason why I tell thisstory for you, for you who may
be pause and pivoting to reachthis new level of fulfillment, I

(06:52):
am challenging you to reflecton your character and those
flaws that you may have in yourcharacter, and just hyper focus
on those things that you know.
You need to elevate thosethings that are unseen.

(07:28):
Rather it's doubt, or insecurity, or selfishness, or a gambling
habit, or a lack of appreciationto the people around you.
Like there's certain thingsthat are like super small and to
most may be insignificant, butfor you, you know, your standard
is so much higher, you knowthat you recognize these gaps in
your character, like they'reclear to you and God's just like
, yeah, let's just go work onthose things.

(07:49):
And once you work on thosethings, I'll literally open the
door for you to experience thenext stage of your life.
But I am not going to open thatdoor until you grow into the
best version of yourself, intothe heavenly human version of
yourself.
Like, really like I feel likepart of my call to action as a

(08:15):
human Is being an ambassador forthis new standard of character.
Heavenly human and thoseheavenly humans infuse hope Into
this human story.
Hope, hope into this humanstory.
Hope Because they are merciful, because they are pure in heart,

(08:40):
because they are peacemakersthat lead with grace.
They are ambassadors of hope.
