Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, it's Laura and
welcome to your peak of the week
.
I want to give you a specialmessage before we get into it
today, and that is Mondo and Iare completing season two.
This is a wrap on season two,and we are pausing, taking some
time to reflect, take note ofall the feedback we've received
(00:25):
from you thus far.
And if you haven't given usfeedback, there is a lovely
button called text us.
Just click text us and share.
Please share.
This is the only way the artgets better.
And this, this, this is art,and this, this, this is art.
(00:50):
This is our form of art.
And we just cannot thank youenough, because there's
something about being an artistand you create for the sake of
creating, no matter if you getzero or millions of people that
have something to say about yourart.
And it's really more the act ofcreation, the act of deciding.
(01:11):
I want to put something outinto the world that once you do
it and you get a taste of that,it is really fun.
So thanks for being here withus.
We appreciate you.
And here is your peak of theweek the quiet revolution.
(01:32):
Your life-changing power liesin micro moves.
If you've been feeling offlately, that quiet nudge inside
the knowing something needs tochange.
I'm here to assure you that youare not alone, and the whisper
is getting louder, isn't it?
(01:53):
Here's the truth we've beenconditioned to forget.
It's not the big, bold leapsthat change everything.
It's the quiet, micro movesthat make you every single day.
What if I told you freedomisn't some distant mountain to
climb, but a series ofheartbeats away?
(02:18):
Picture this You're drowning indeadlines.
Your screen is blurring as yourace against time.
Your biggest project of theyear is due in 48 hours.
Then a text lights up yourphone I'm in town for just
tonight Dinner possible.
(02:38):
It's your oldest friend.
In that heartbeat you stand atthe crossroads.
Path one I'm under a crushingdeadline.
Rain check.
Path two yes, I'll make it work.
When and where.
This isn't just a schedulingdecision.
(02:59):
This is your life, asking whoare you becoming?
A 90-second or 90-minute micromove doesn't just nurture a
friendship.
It recalibrates your entirecompass, revealing who you are
when priorities collide andvalues are tested in real time.
(03:21):
The magic these moments findyou every single day what your
soul is actually hungry for.
Your transformation isn'twaiting for some dramatic life
overhaul or five-year plan.
It's already here, hiding inplain sight.
The email you're about toanswer at 10 47 pm.
(03:44):
The yes forming in your mouthwhen your heart is screaming no,
the urge to critique yourselfwhen compassion is what would
truly heal.
These aren't small choices.
These are everything.
Today, not tomorrow, not whenyou have time.
(04:09):
I dare you to make just onemicro move that honors your
deepest truth.
Here are just a few examples toconsider, but truly the
possibilities are endless.
Closing your laptop at a settime and treating that boundary
as sacred, not suggested.
Listening with your whole beingto someone without mentally
(04:31):
drafting your response, writingdown three whispers from your
body that you've been ignoringrest, movement, nourishment,
trading, one social media scrollfor the same amount of time.
Gazing out of the window, capturing one victory from today
(04:52):
, no matter how small, beforeletting your mind dwell,
whispering genuine appreciationto someone you love.
The permission you've beenwaiting for is here.
The world does not need yourstriving.
(05:15):
It needs your authenticpresence.
Success isn't measured incheckboxes, but in moments fully
lived.
You don't need permission toprioritize what makes your soul
come alive, but if you've beenwaiting for it, consider this
(05:35):
your sign.
The most courageous people Iknow aren't making dramatic
gestures.
They're the ones making tiny, revolutionary choices daily that
whisper I choose me, I choosetruth, I choose life.
Be one of them.
Start today.
(05:56):
Oh, my goodness, you know whatI have to do.
I have to go back to my formerself and really forgive her,
because there's a good long timeperiod where I put my need to
(06:21):
accomplish and be quote unquotesomeone in my space being the
best marketing recruiter in theTwin Cities.
I put that above everythingelse.
I put that above everythingelse.
And you know what?
(06:42):
Sometimes we have to dosomething to the extreme to
realize huh, maybe this is notwhat life's about.
Maybe life is about reallyappreciating the moments of pure
beauty, the small, tiniestmoments, with ones we love.
(07:11):
And don't get me wrong, you canhave a great time with the
people that you work with, agreat grand old time, but not at
the expense of your well-being,not at the expense of true
(07:33):
presence with your family.
What are we teaching our kidsif this is what we are
prioritizing?
I don't know.
It's all hit me and I see itfrom such a different
perspective.
And that's kind of my job now.
When I coach people, I see them.
I see them in a way that theyusually don't see themselves and
(07:56):
I offer a different perspectiveand when you shift your
perspective, your life canabsolutely change.
Because you saw life one wayand now you see it from another
way, and maybe the way that youneed to be thinking about your
life is from a childhood wonderand awe, a play, like I don't
(08:23):
know about you, but I took stuffway too seriously and had zero
amounts of fun and I was like, hmm, okay, old me was pretty
stressed out all the time.
She really wasn't that much funto be around.
And now I can look at mycurrent version and say, but I
(08:47):
don't need to judge old versionof me, I don't need to judge her
Because that's what got her towhere she is now.
So love her, adore her, cherishher, forgive her.
How many of you are holding onto a part of yourself that you
(09:12):
need to forgive, a part ofyourself that you need to
forgive?
I offer let this be the moment, let this be the time that you
forgive yourself.
You've been hanging on to thatway too long.
(09:36):
So we started talking aboutmicro moves, ended here.
That's par for the course.
I kind of zigzag all over theplace.
I want you to know that what'semerging right now is supposed
to emerge, and what you feellike is the end is just the
beginning, and what you'rejudging as bad or wrong could be
(10:02):
the best thing ever for you.
So offer up a new perspective.
