Microphone (Yeti Stereo Mi (00:00):
Hey,
Hey, there.
So I noticed myself crazy, butyou don't have to use social
media to market your podcast andgay listeners.
So hear me out first.
When I got started, I use mywebsite to host my episodes and
then I will tell people to gothere and listen.
Or if I had a conversation withsomeone offline, I will tell
(00:20):
them about my podcasts and whereto go to a listen.
It was all organic.
And so I gave it 100%.
That social media is the it fortraffic.
But if you could get trafficfrom other sources, why not?
Right.
So in this episode, I'm going totalk about how to promote your
(00:42):
podcasts or without socialmedia.
And if you're liking isdefinitely gave me a review.
And tagging on Instagram.
I will love so much to hear fromyou.
The first thing I'm going tosuggest.
Is networking events, networkingevents is so from both online
and offline now online andworking events is even more fun
(01:04):
because you can actuallycommunicate with more people.
For example.
I'm on Alignable.
I don't know if a lot of peopleknow about Alignable, but I'm on
Alignable and they do networkingevents all day long.
Like they have so many differentnetworking events.
They have hundreds of peoplesign up for these totally free.
And you go into the events, yousign up, you get notifications
(01:27):
and everything, and then you dokind of like a speed dating type
of thing.
So they gave you about sevenminutes.
It's seven people for sevenminutes.
I do believe it's a 700 T is oneof the minutes.
I think.
So.
But it's seven minutes for sevenpeople.
And you're literally talking toseven people a day, like.
(01:48):
How cool is that, that you canactually have a conversation
with it was seven people.
Within an hour time, imaginehaving to do two or three of
those.
And you're talking to at least14 to 20 people a day.
During that time is a perfecttime to mention your podcast.
Hey, I have a podcast about XYZ.
(02:11):
In my case, I have a podcastcalled the Do I see podcasts?
Where I interview businessowners and entrepreneurs talking
about their hello moments andbasically help get tidbits for
people to take action steps.
So when I go in there, I talkabout it and they're like, oh,
really well, let's connect.
(02:31):
So you can actually connect.
And once you connect, go aheadand shoot them the link to your
podcast.
It is a great way to actuallyget more listeners for your
podcasts.
So you do networking events, youcould do outside events, a local
chamber of commerce.
Or I know a lot of real estateagents do a lot of networking
(02:52):
events.
You can, if your real estateagent, you have podcasts, talk
about your podcast, put yourpodcast link or URL on your
business card, or do a QR codewhere they can actually scan it
on their phone.
And it goes directly to yourpodcasts.
So those are some of the waysthat you could get listeners
without social media is more ofan organic strategy.
(03:13):
Well, social media is an organicstrategy, but this one is more
authentic because you actuallymet the people.
You actually met the person.
Number two, you could be a yeson other podcasts as well.
So if someone, you know, or ifyou're in groups of someone
that's.
Reaching out and say, Hey, Ineed a guest for my show.
(03:33):
You can pitch yourself.
There's a really awesome groupthat I always tell my students
and people who I'm teaching, howto launch a podcast.
I tell them to go to go onFacebook search.
Be a guest.
Find the guests is a podcast.
Collaboration they have the cluband then they have the podcast
collaboration free.
(03:54):
Facebook group where.
You can actually go in, makesure you read the description of
the group and the instructionson how to do so you go ahead and
pitch yourself and you say, you're looking to be on
podcasts.
There's some people on therethat's looking for guests as
well.
Sometimes that can be a littleoverwhelming.
I've experienced it.
But it's a really great way toget your cell phone podcasts.
(04:17):
So that's another way that youcan actually talk about your
podcast is be on other people'spodcasts.
And it kind of like last a longtime.
Okay.
Talk about that shelf life forpodcasting.
Okay, so number three yourtribe, your circle.
Acts five to 10 people who, youknow, To promote your podcast
(04:39):
and give him a little bit ofSenate, like give him a$5
Starbucks card or a gift card,or some sort of very small.
For promoting your podcasts.
I actually took this idea untilyou, but I actually got this.
Idea from a previous guest.
Microphone (Yeti Stereo Mic (04:55):
Her
name is Barbara Mason act.
And it's episode 26.
How will you show up if youdidn't take things personally?
I really love that episode.
And also she was in my Christianpreneur summit.
And in the crucial preneurialsummer, she actually talked
about having like your ownlittle mini marketing team,
(05:17):
which I thought was like,brilliant.
So you don't have to spend as,or run ads.
For any promotional or anythingthat you're doing.
So.
The idea actually stemmed fromher.
I have to give credit wherecredit is due, but it's a really
weird way to actually get yourpodcasts out there.
You could do like a podcastswap.
You can have someone who has anemail list, actually email their
(05:42):
email lists your episode, andyou do it in exchange.
So it's so many different waysthat you can promote your
podcast without social media.
If you completely burnt out onsocial media.
You can do these strategies.
These strategies is a little bitmore personal, more I will say
one-on-one.
But the beauty in it is if theycan share to their audience, it
(06:05):
could definitely be huge.
So to recap, number one.
Networking events, both onlineand offline.
Number two, be a guest on otherpeople's podcasts.
And number three, your tribe, your circle asked five to 10
people to promote your podcast.
So.
I'm really happy that youlistened to this episode on
(06:26):
today.
I really hope this was helpfuland I will see you on the next
episode.
Bye.
