In this, I address a common question from my recent Facebook group challenge-turned-bootcamp: 'Do you need new graphics for each episode?'

I advise using a set template and only changing essential details like the episode title and number.

It's essential to keep a streamlined process, especially when you're managing graphic creation alone. I also share tips on using Canva for creating templates and emphasize the importance of promoting guest episodes to help them and your podcast grow.

Microphone (Yeti Stereo M (00:00):
Well, welcome back to another episode
of the healthy is Dorseypodcast.
So today I'm going to continueon with the theme.
Um, these are questions that Iget asked during my five day
challenge, which is now going tobe a bootcamp.
So these are questions that I'mpulling from the chat.
Uh, of the Facebook group, people were asking during the

(00:22):
challenge and I'm actuallyanswering those questions on my
podcast for you guys.
So.
This episode.
Question is, do you need newgraphics for each episode?
And the clear answer is no, youdo not need.
Uh, new graphics for eachepisode.

(00:42):
And I don't know, like reallyreinventing the wheel.
I like to have a set templateand that's it.
Now here's the thing.
If you're doing solo episodesand you want to, um, you want to
showcase it on.
Social media.
Then just do your regular, uh,you could use your regular.

(01:03):
Cover art.
And then just name it episode.
So take the name of your coverart, like the title, and then
just say episode.
Number the title and you kind oflike use that.
So you can actually use that toread.
Uh, repurpose.
For your social media posts, youcould do it that way.

(01:26):
Or if you're like Candice, Ijust want a completely different
graphic for wine.
Do my soul episodes you can doat.
Um, I will say just how onetemplate and then of course have
your face, make sure the colorsand everything is related to
your podcast brand.
And then, um, what you do is.
At the title episode, and thenyou add the URL on the graphic.

(01:49):
Okay.
And just keep that and all youhave to do.
There's a switch out the titleand episode number, and then
that's it.
Now four guests, I generallyhave like one graphic.
Actually I have to, sorry.
I have to, because.
I don't want to put a guy.

(02:11):
This is just me.
I don't want to have my mailepisodes.
Um, my male guests.
A B in pink background.
I just, I just don't.
I like to have it a little bitmore, a little bit more subtle,
a little bit more.
Um, I would say max masculinethere's really like no masculine
colors, but I will say I like tohave it to be a little bit more

(02:35):
neutral.
When I have my guy guests on,and then when I have my grill
guests on my women guest, thenI'll have like, you know, the,
the purple background, differentthings like that.
So, I have a background for, um,for my mail.
Uh, my male gas I come on.
So it's more like a gray.
But it stays within my Brandontheme.

(02:59):
So I switched it up for them, then that way they can post it
in everything on their end.
And then I have my purple kindof like brand new theme for my
women guests.
So I have two, um, but I keepthe, uh, I keep the template as
is, and then I just switch outthe picture, I switch out the

(03:22):
name and then I switch out thetitle and the episode.
So, um, I do that and I justkeep it that way.
Now for my solo episodes, Ireally don't post on social
media as much.
I should.
Um, but I'll email to my emaillist or I'll just do an episode.
Um, but when I do have guests, Idefinitely make sure I have a

(03:45):
graphic because I want to sendit over to them so that they can
promote it so they can put it ontheir website.
So a lot of.
A lot of extra things that I do.
I do a, for my guests.
So that they can have somethingto promote so that I can also
promote them as well.
But what I have solo episodes, Ireally don't promote it.

(04:05):
I'll just go ahead.
Like I'm doing here, I'll recordit.
And then I'll go ahead and, um,posted on bus routes and that's
it.
And I'll be real like Kennis.
Well, why don't you promoteyour, your solo episodes?
You know, you should definitely, you know, promote that.
My thing is this.
My soul episodes is generallyfor like it's for everybody.

(04:26):
Yeah.
And I would like everybody tolisten.
But I feel like my soul episodesis more of a teaching.
Teaching style.
I do it myself.
I want to do it by myself, andthen I could send it over to my
email list and have them listen, because my email is, is actually
solely focused on podcasts andlaunching a podcast.

(04:47):
So I like to send it over tothem.
So that they can get tidbits sothey can learn so they can get
what they need to do so thatthey can go ahead and apply.
To their podcast.
Um, that's just how I do it.
And it's simply because.
I need to hire a VA.
But now right now, Because ofbudgeting.

(05:08):
But, um, I definitely want tohave a VA to actually do some of
the leg work for me.
I had a few back in the day, butit was just too expensive.
So now it's just me, but I wantto make sure that.
I'm serving my email list sothat I can get so they can get
what they need and then, um,they can apply it.
So when he get ready to launchtheir podcast, So, yeah, that

(05:32):
was the long.
Answer of it, but that's.
We started talking aboutmarketing, but that's generally
what I do.
And, um, also batch them.
So when you have guest.
And you have a lot of guests, which I used to do.
I used to have like guestsalmost every week.

(05:52):
I would batch my graphics, bashed him all up at one time
and then that way it'sscheduling them out as well.
Then that way I have thegraphics for them are ready now.
If you have a template, especially when you go into
Campbell, you can go on canvasfree account.
And then you can search apodcast, episode templates.

(06:16):
You can search that and thenjust recreate the template, do
it however you want to do it.
And then just use that solelythat they now wait, the only
thing you're changing now, it'sjust the name.
The image, if you want to showthe image of your guests, which
I highly recommend.
Um, and then you will keep yourpicture if you have your picture

(06:36):
on there as well.
I don't have my picture on thegraphic at all.
Um, I just want to highlight myguests if you want to put your
picture on there.
And I tell this all the time, especially in my challenges and
my boot camps until my studentsthat.
Um, I've seen where.
There is.

(06:57):
A big image.
Of the podcast host, and thenthere's this like this blue.
EDPD baby image of the guest.
You want to highlight yourguests and not you.
If that makes sense.
I could be wrong.
I probably get some backlash forthis.
I really don't care, but yourguests is the spotlight.

(07:18):
So what you want to do is youwant to highlight your guests.
And if you want to have a littleimage of yourself as the whole,
she can't, or.
Just not put yourself on youreye at all.
Okay.
Um, but I've seen too many timeswhere there's a really big, huge
picture of.
The host in his little EDBD.
Picture of the guests and I'mlike, so.

(07:41):
Is it all about the host?
Like is the host talking like, and I didn't know.
I'm like, oh, the host is theguests.
And then.
The guest is the host.
So I got really confused, but,um, you just put your guests,
highlight your guests, and ifyou wanna put your, a picture of
yourself, Just make it a smallpicture.
Okay.
Um, so I hope this was helpful.

(08:02):
Uh, I, I really love talkingabout this and, um, no, you
don't need a new graphic foreach episode, especially if
you're doing a solo episode, just keep the same way.
Keep with the theme in same waywith the guests episode.
You just switch out the picture, switch out the name.

(08:22):
Switch out the, uh, the title, the episode.
And there you go.
Okay.
I'm all about not reinventingthe wheel.
And I like to keep thingsstreamlined and safe time.
Okay.
All right.
So if you are a coach coasts,Uh, if you are a coach
consulting, co.
Course creator or a serviceprovider.
I was getting tongue tied.

(09:07):

providers.
