In the first hour of the show, we talk with Kristen Moreland, the Executive Director of the Gwich'in Steering Committee, who tells us about an effort here in Houston to prevent drilling on ecologically rich land in the Arctic.

Then, in the show’s second hour, Kam Franklin, the lead singer of The Suffers, discusses her new solo project, and we learn about World Class Meats, a Houston-based premium distributor specializing in exotic meats and wild game, from its founder, Lincoln Obie.
