In the first hour, we discuss the end of the Texas legislative session with University of Houston professor and Party Politics co-host Jeronimo Cortina, and Texas Monthly’s Daniel Vaughn breaks down the magazine’s list of the state’s top 50 barbecue spots which includes some Houston establishments.

In the second hour of the show, State Senator Molly Cook (D-Houston) will join us to talk about the last-minute bills that moved through the Texas Legislature, and we’ll also get her thoughts on her first session.

Also, local travel advisor Kate Johnson shares advice for the summer travel season, and Houston Public Library’s LaTrisha Milton tells us more about the library’s annual Summer Reading Program.
