On today’s Hello Houston, Ernie, Frank, and Celeste discuss today’s top stories at the top of each hour including the new FEMA head not knowing there’s a hurricane season, local law enforcement helping ICE, and the governor’s possible veto power on the THC bill.

In the first hour of the show, we discuss how A.I. could affect U.S./Mexico trade with Rodrigo Ferreira, assistant teaching professor in computer science at Rice University, and we’ll learn about the endangered species at the Houston Zoo with their director of animal care Tarah Cornelius.

In the second hour, we invite the community to share their thoughts on the city budget and deficit crisis, we’ll also talk with Alice Liu, a Co-Director of West Street Recovery, and Kourtney Revels, a member of Northeast Action Collective to share their thoughts.

Plus, Dr. Phillip “Bucky” Ribbeck, a sports medicine physician at Texas Children’s Hospital will join us to talk about preventing summer injuries and more.
