In the first hour of the show, City of Houston Controller Chris Hollins discusses the city’s budget about a month ahead of Houston City Council's deadline to approve a budget for fiscal year 2026.

Also, Sandra Guerra Thompson, Professor of Law at the University of Houston Law Center, dives into proposed bail reform legislation, and Houston-based immigration attorney Charles Foster breaks down a recent “self-deportation” flight and shares his thoughts on other current events in U.S. immigration.

In the second hour, we hear the latest installment of Celeste Diaz Schurman’s “Cold Coffee” series where she talks with Greg Scheinman, author, founder and CEO of The Midlife Male.
