The Dorey Park Farmers Market will host a hula hoop dance party this Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. to celebrate the life of Rick McNeil, a member of the market community who died. McNeil was known for sharing his passion for history at the market's History Table for many years, and he also was an avid hula hooper. The market will provide hula hoops for attendees to borrow, courtesy of Host of Sparrows, or guests are welcome to bring their own. The farmers market takes place at Dorey Park, near the barn, 2999 Darbytown Road in Varina.
