đď¸In this weekâs episode, Catherine Gentry shares her essay, âNot Quite Old,â on aging as a woman and how reflecting on her grandmotherâs wisdom changed her mindset about birthdays.
đ During our conversation, Catherine shares her perspective on aging and the power of owning one's story. She reflects on her writing journey, the enduring wisdom of her grandmother, and her observations of how ageism pressures women to conform to society's ideals of youth. We touch on the importance of embracing our true selves and new adventures, celebrating birthdays, and not letting age define our worth or abilities.
