What has fast, cheap and trendy clothing done to us as consumers? What roll on effects does it have on the people behind the scenes? And, is it really important or even biblical to consider all of this?
Today I welcomed on the team behind the Ethical Fashion Guide by Baptist World Aid, Gina & Kat. In this episode we explore the definition of ethical fashion, the challenges faced by workers in developing countries, and the responsibility of consumers, particularly within a Christian context, to make informed purchasing decisions that promote justice and stewardship. We also address biblical principles related to stewardship and justice, encouraging patience and wisdom about how to maintain and steward our belongings well. The conversation also touches on practical steps to help advocate, make an impact and create small daily changes that help eliminate modern day slavery.
