Why did God choose Mary?
In this Christmas message, we explore Luke 1 and uncover three powerful reasons God chose Mary to carry Jesus — and what her story reveals about our own calling.
Mary was chosen because:
1️⃣ She was positioned in the Line of Promise
Through the lineage of David and her roots in Nazareth, Mary stood exactly where prophecy would be fulfilled.
2️⃣ She had a humble, surrendered heart
Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant… may your word to me be fulfilled.” True humility is thinking of yourself less.
3️⃣ She believed before she understood
Elizabeth declared, “Blessed is she who has believed…” God still chooses people who trust Him before seeing the full plan.
