Name, image and likeness (NIL) continues to be a hot topic for colleges and universities. Athletic, compliance and academic programming departments are developing approaches to support and provide opportunities for student athletes in this new NIL environment while adhering to state regulations and institutional policies. The University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) built a NIL policy based on continuous and purposeful education, communication and monitoring.
