Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, Welcome back to High Media TV.
I am your host Stepan from High Media TV, and
welcome back to High Media Headlines. For September eighteenth, twenty
twenty five, we real quick show for you today. Oh god,
all right, so let's talk about the big one, all right?
(00:21):
Intel and in Video are are combining, are coming together
and are combining their CPUs in GPU technology to make APUs.
So what this means is is for things like micro
computers which are tiny but like are relatively powerful but
(00:45):
don't necessarily have you know, the GPU space to do it. Basically,
in Video is buying a five billion dollars stake in
Intel and I. And with the insane market capitalization that
Vidia has I and the issues that Intel has been suffering,
I would not be surprised if this is the first
(01:07):
step in the market consolidation of Invidia buying Intel, which
I am broadly against because it's that is like just
more consolidation the market more it's more uh monopolistic. And
you know, now you're just going to have two companies
(01:29):
that build APUs. You have your A, you have a
m D, and you have Nvidia. And I'm kind of
frustrated by that. I don't I generally don't like to
get anything close to the realm of political and high
media headlines. But you know, this is kind of bad
(01:52):
for us as consumers less you know, I think that
the you know, fallacy of consumer choice and that being
the pre primary motivator is like not really something relevant
with the giant companies that exist today. But even then,
like the like, this is just even less power we
have as consumers, even though we already had basically none,
(02:14):
you know, we already have basically none as consumers. You know,
it's just even less. And I'm concerned about this broadly speaking.
And I if a merger like that this was to happen,
it would be there's no reason why the you know
(02:35):
why this current government wouldn't let it go through. They
let they let their patent office, let pow World, let
not Power, let Pokemon patent the summoning creatures mechanic broadly speaking,
which is, you know, just a damning ramification across the
board for multiple different games, especially in the future. I e.
(02:55):
See the Nemesis system that WB patented and made two
games in the like, never touched it again. I don't
know it is. It is profoundly infuriating and I don't
know what to do from here, but what I do
know is that this pisses me the fuck off, and
it should piss you off to to some degree. You know,
(03:18):
we might might keyword might get some better products out
of this, but you know, in the long run, this
is gonna fuck us as like Americans. Moving on to
the NB and E Index, The NB and E index
is how we hear a high media TV E gauge
the health of the American economy looking at the store
brand price of milk, bread, and eggs from major American retailer's.
(03:39):
A current NB and E index stands at present at
nine dollars and ninety nine cents, with all these at
seven twenty seven, Shop Right at eleven eighty eight, and
Walmart at seven thirty seven. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you
