Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, Welcome back to High Media TV.
I am your host. I'm from High Media TV, and
welcome back to high Media Headlines for today, October the eighth,
twenty twenty five. We got a quick show for you today.
Let's get right into it now, shall we. So to start,
Kentucky sues Roadblocks, calling it a playground for predators who
(00:23):
seek to harm our children. This takes place two months
after Robots was swede sued by Louisiana for the same reason.
The complaint alleges that the Robocks corporation repeatedly assures parents
in the public that Roadblocks is safe for its user
base of minors, but that is in fact a hunting
ground for child pret predators. So this is not without president.
(00:46):
There have been multiple YouTubers who have gotten banned for
report for catfishing predators and reporting them to local law enforcement.
This was a pretty big controversy last month. And on
top of that, people, the Roadblock CEO has literally said
he wanted to add a dating app component component to
(01:07):
roadblocks itself. Oh boy, here's the thing, right like, Roadblocks
is very much a children's platform, you know, despite having
the variants of different types of content on it, and
it this I generally Kentucky is not going to do
(01:32):
things that I you would think be very supportive of us.
Has a reputation, so to speak. But this isn't a
little black book. So we're not going to get too
too into politics on here regardless. Uh. The Kentucky lawsuit
was fouled two months after ells merle the trade channel
(01:55):
for Louisiana, stated it's basically open season for sex predators
on this platform when announcing her state's lawsuit against Roadblocks.
Glad to see my friend Russell Coleman joining me the
attorney general for Kentucky and recognizing what has been saying
all along Roadblocks is dangerous for children. We will not
sit idly buy while this company exploits children to make
(02:15):
billions in profits. One of the big issues with Roadblocks
is kind of their monetization scheme. They do the seventy
thirty split normally when it comes to their content creation.
Ideally you have thirty percent going to somebody who creates
an asset, and then you get forty percent going to
(02:38):
somebody who creates a game that is well liked. Now
here's the issue, you know, I think Roadblocks generally has
a lot of things wrong with it. I think the
propensity for Roadblocks to be a hunting ground for predators
is very valid and you know, not at all you know,
(03:02):
missed to be misconstrued. I also think that having a
platform that generates content and revenue off of that content,
off of the backs of you know, minors, you know, creativity,
is also not particularly great personally. A Roadblock spokesperson denied
(03:25):
Kentucky's allegations in a statement provided, saying it is constantly
innovating and investing in safety. I don't necessarily think that
is particularly true, but let's take them at the word.
I mean, frankly, they like predators and stuff will buy
(03:46):
kids content in the game that they asked for as
a way to sort of like gain trust and attachment.
So I have a feeling that Roadblocks isn't necessarily going
to say no to a pedophile's money. But what do
I know now, I'm just a dude bro with a
microphone and a podcast. AnyWho, Moving on to the NB
(04:10):
and E index. The NB and E indexes how we
hear at high media TV gauge the health of the
American economy by looking at the store brand price of milk,
bread and eggs of major American retailers. The current NB
and E index stands at nine dollars and eighty nine
cents with all these prices six eighty seven, shop Right
at eleven eighty eight and Walmart at seven zero two.
