If you've ever had a leader or friend break your trust or let you down, you're not alone. Unfortunately, even in ministry, we are not immune to the pain of broken relationships and imperfect leaders. The question we must ask ourselves is, "How do we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus?"

In a world that pushes us to run or hide from our Shepherd every moment of church hurt and broken trust, our invitation in this episode is to run to Him.  We are so grateful for Courtney Reissig sharing her own church experiences in this episode.

Resource Highlight: Someone to Believe In

Courtney Reissig is a writer and bible teacher living in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is the proud mom of four sons, happy wife to Daniel, and author of three books: The Accidental Feminist, Glory in the Ordinary, and Teach Me to Feel: Worshiping Through the Psalms in Every Season of Life. Her writing has appeared in the Washington Post, The Gospel Coalition, and Christianity Today (among other publications). When she is not writing or wrangling kids, she enjoys running and a relaxing Friday night. Her family belongs to Immanuel Baptist Church. You can follow her on X or Instagram (@courtneyreissig).
