Luis Roberto Conríquez es el nombre de nacimiento de quien hoy es conocido en la industria musical como Luis R. Conriquez. Nació en febrero de 1996 en Caborca, Sonora, en una familia humilde, pero desde joven demostró su deseo de trabajar honradamente para salir adelante.
Luis R. ha confesado que no era un gran aficionado a los estudios, y por eso, cuando aún estaba en la preparatoria, empezó a buscar formas de ganar dinero sin tener que continuar con su educación. A los 16 años, empezó a trabajar en la tortillería de su abuela, La Tortillería Caborca, que era muy popular en la zona.
Al año siguiente, Luis decidió independizarse de sus padres, y a la par de su trabajo, la conclusión de sus estudios y su matrimonio, comenzó una vida totalmente nueva con tan solo 17 años. Desde entonces, su carrera musical ha ido en ascenso, y actualmente es uno de los artistas más populares del género regional mexicano.
